RHP Steven Wright got a second opinion on his right arm strain from Dr. Neal ElAttrache in Los Angeles. The second opinion confirmed the first of bursitis in his right shoulder strain with no damage beyond that. But the knuckleballer is a question to pitch again this season.

Wright lasted only four innings, giving up four runs on seven hits, in his last start Wednesday against Tampa Bay.

Texas Rangers right-handed relief pitcher Jeremy Jeffress was arrested on a drunk-driving charge early Friday morning.According to a Dallas County arrest warrant, the 28-year-old Jeffress was jailed at 5:13 a.m. and charged with DWI. He has not been arraigned. RHP Steven Wright is expected to come off the 15-day disabled list and start Friday at home against red-hot Kansas City. Wright, who was experiencing shoulder pain, threw a bullpen session Tuesday and his return to the rotation will likely send Clay Buchholz to the bullpen.

RHP Steven Wright threw a solid bullpen session Sunday and now is on track to start this coming weekend. "He came out in good shape," manager John Farrell said. "(Clay) Buchholz is going to start on Tuesday. We're likely to get another bullpen on Tuesday for Steven, and that would put him in line for the weekend series against Kansas City." Wright has been bothered by a sore right shoulder.
