Tue Jan 10 201210:13Celtics want Keyon Dooling to shoot more
The Celtics want Keyon Dooling to shoot the basketball more often.
Doc Rivers said that he's playing too much point guard, a product of not having anybody reliable behind Rajon Rondo to orchestrate the offense. Even if Dooling sees an increase in shot attempts, he's averaging just 6.8 points in 19 minutes per game and is not a fantasy option.

Wed Jan 4 201207:40Dooling serving as mentor for Rajon Rondo
Keyon Dooling is serving as a mentor to Rajon Rondo this season.
"I think it's big because he's a veteran point guard, he has a lot of great information for me. I can learn a lot from him," said Rondo. Dooling is facilitating the maturation of Rondo as a player. It's been beneficial so far, as Rondo is averaging 16.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 10.5 assists and 1.3 steals over his first six games.

Wed Dec 28 201100:07Keyon Dooling scores 18 points off the bench
Keyon Dooling scored 18 points off the bench on Tuesday, hitting 5-of-10 shots from the field (including four threes) with no other statistics besides a steal in 24 minutes.
This will be on the short list for Dooling's best game of the season, and unless you're in a 30-team league we don't expect you to chase these numbers.

Sat Dec 10 201110:56Dooling officially signs w/ Celtics
Keyon Dooling has officially signed with the Celtics.
The Celtics also get a protected second-round pick in 2012, while sending Milwaukee the rights to Albert Miralles (simply a place-holder in the deal). Dooling slots into the backup PG role and is another short-term, cheap addition to the Celtics' bench.

Thu Dec 8 201118:31Veteran Dooling heading to Celtics
Veteran point guard Keyon Dooling will sign with the Celtics on Friday when free agency starts.
Dooling comes over from Milwaukee and will likely be Rajon Rondo's primary back up - as long as Rondo is still a Celtic on opening night.

Wed Oct 19 201109:36Keyon Dooling interested in signing with Heat
Keyon Dooling hinted that he may be interested in joining the Miami Heat.
"I could see that, but who wouldn't jump at the opportunity?" Dooling said. He's expected to be the odd man out in Milwaukee with the team now rostering Brandon Jennings, Beno Udrih and Shaun Livingston, but his comments are rather interesting given that he's still under contract with the Bucks.

Fri Oct 14 201116:58Keyon Dooling's role w/ Bucks threatened?
Keyon Dooling's role with the Bucks may be threatened by the arrival of Beno Udrih and Shaun Livingston.
Luke Ridnour is gone and Earl Boykins' contract has expired, but Dooling is still buried in the Bucks' backcourt. He averaged 7.1 points on sub-40% shooting in 80 games last season, making it hard for the NBA's lowest-scoring offense to pair him with Brandon Jennings, a career 37.9% shooter.

Wed Aug 3 201111:58Anadolu Efes chooses Mills over Keyon Dooling
Updating a previous item, Turkish team Anadolu Efes has chosen to sign Patty Mills instead of Keyon Dooling.
Dooling was expected to sign with the Turkish club, but it appears that they favored Mills ahead of him. It's still possible that Dooling signs with another club overseas.

Fri Jul 29 201109:59Report: Keyon Dooling to play in Turkey
Keyon Dooling is expected to finalize a contract with the Turkish team Efes Istanbul within the next few days.
Dooling, who serves as VP for the NBA Players' Association, expects to remain in Turkey even if the lockout is settled -- he is under contract with the Bucks for one year and $2 million but would likely arrange a buyout. His departure clears the way for Brandon Jennings and Beno Udrih to share ball-handling duties in Milwaukee.

Fri Jul 8 201112:24Keyon Dooling: Bucks aren't a good situation
Veteran PG Keyon Dooling doesn't sound as though he expects to play for the Bucks next season, after Milwaukee traded for Beno Udrih.
Dooling is now third on the Bucks' depth chart behind Udrih and Brandon Jennings. "The situation isn't good for me in Milwaukee," he said. "Something will happen with the roster. I anticipate more moves will happen." For now, he's staying busy as the first vice president of the NBA Players' Association.

Fri Feb 4 201101:18Dooling plays, and plays well
Keyon Dooling came back from a food poisoning illness to score nine points and hand out nine assists against the Warriors.
Brandon Jennings got the start, and the very best Dooling can hope for is a timeshare at point guard. Although he was on the court while Jennings sat down the stretch, he won't have any fantasy appeal while Jennings is healthy. Jennings continued to play terribly since returning from a foot injury, scoring two points (1-of-6 shooting) with six assists. Keep Jennings benched until he gets some rhythm going.
Thu Feb 3 201110:26Dooling had food poisoning
The illness that sidelined Keyon Dooling Wednesday night was apparently food poisoning.
Dooling's status for tonight's game against the Warriors is unknown, but it's clear Brandon Jennings is ready to rock. Dooling is safe to drop in most formats.

Thu Feb 3 201102:15Keyon Dooling misses game with flu
Keyon Dooling missed Wednesday's game with the flu.
Brandon Jennings started, but might not have had Dooling been able to play. And now that Jennings is back, it's probably time to dump Dooling for a hot free agent that can help your team. Earl Boykins had 14 points and four assists in the absence of Dooling tonight.
Wed Feb 2 201120:15Keyon Dooling game-time decision
Keyon Dooling is a game-time decision Wednesday due to the flu.
It sounds like he's leaning toward playing but if he's out, Brandon Jennings will almost surely start, with Earl Boykins getting run off the bench.

Tue Feb 1 201101:24Dooling plays well again, but end is near
Keyon Dooling started again on Monday and had 11 points, two rebounds, eight assists, three steals and a 3-pointer in 31 minutes against the Clippers.
Brandon Jennings was on an 18-minute limit count again tonight, but that is coming to an end. Maybe Dooling holds value through the end of the week, but once Jennings is back in the the starting five, we think Dooling becomes irrelevant. There's an outside chance that he holds his value, much like Kyle Lowry did when Aaron Brooks returned for Houston, but it's not likely as long as Jennings is healthy.
Sun Jan 30 201102:20Dooling puts up farewell line vs. Nets
Keyon Dooling scored 14 points on 6-of-10 shooting (including two threes) with four rebounds, nine assists, and two steals on Saturday, as Brandon Jennings (foot) returned to action and came off the bench for 11 minutes.
This might be his farewell line, though it's possible that Jennings is put on a strict minute count for a few more games. With four games on the schedule next week against mostly poor defensive teams, Dooling may be able to eek some value out for one more week, but will be a risk nonetheless.
