Tue Feb 14 201214:12Mickael Pietrus doubtful for Wednesday
Mickael Pietrus (knee) is doubtful for Wednesday's game against the Pistons.
With Ray Allen and Paul Pierce both sustaining health over the last couple weeks, Pietrus has struggled for a real role anyway. Pietrus is averaging just 19.9 minutes per game in seven February games.

Mickael Pietrus started for injured Ray Allen (ankle) on Friday, scoring 13 points on 5-of-13 shooting (including two threes) with eight rebounds in 33 minutes.
Pietrus is a fine spot-starting option while so many Celtics are out. And given the Suns' struggles, surely they're wishing they had Pietrus in the fold.

Fri Jan 27 201219:32Pietrus (shoulder, back) to start on Friday
Mickael Pietrus (shoulder, back) will start on Friday against the Pacers.
Pietrus' back is sore from a hard fall in Thursday's game, and is worth a look if you need a spot-starter. He's practically the last man standing. Keyon Dooling (knee, hip) is out for Friday's game.

Mickael Pietrus (shoulder) played on Thursday, scoring 12 points on 4-of-9 shooting (including three treys) with four rebounds and two assists in 32 minutes.
Pietrus will be worth a spot-start on Friday if Rajon Rondo (wrist) and Ray Allen (ankle, personal) remain out, and it doesn't hurt that Keyon Dooling (knee) left tonight's game with a hip pointer.

Mickael Pietrus (shoulder) is expected to play on Thursday against the Magic.
Pietrus' mysterious shoulder injury clearly wasn't of the serious variety. The Celtics will need him to play a major role with Ray Allen (ankle) out of the lineup and he will start in Allen's place. Keyon Dooling (knee) is also expected to play on Thursday after missing the last seven straight games.

Pietrus was a surprise scratch on Monday with a shoulder injury, and the Celtics have been tight-lipped with exactly what is bothering him. Sun Jan 22 201216:27Pietrus fills in nicely for injured Allen
Mickael Pietrus was called upon to play heavy minutes on Sunday after Ray Allen went down with a sprained ankle in the second quarter, and he filled in admirably, recording 14 points, two 3-pointers and two steals in 34 minutes.
After the game, Allen said he would try and play tomorrow night, meaning he doesn't think the injury to his ankle is too serious. If Allen were to miss time, however, Pietrus would be the biggest beneficiary.

Mickael Pietrus hit three 3-point shots on Monday, finishing with 14 points on 5-of-9 shooting with two rebounds and a block in 21 minutes off the bench.
Pietrus will be much too inconsistent in a bench role for fantasy purposes, but if anything comes of the ding Ray Allen took on his right (shooting) wrist tonight give him a look.

Mickael Pietrus made his season debut for the Celtics on Wednesday and had five points in 18 minutes.
Pietrus is worth keeping an eye on, but as long as Ray Allen and Paul Pierce are healthy, he's going to struggle to see enough minutes to make a fantasy difference.

Tue Jan 10 201207:06Mickael Pietrus to make debut Wednesday?
Mickael Pietrus (knee) could make his season debut on Wednesday.
Pietrus has been sidelined as he recovers from knee surgery. The swingman said that he had no pain and plans to be available on Wednesday, but Doc Rivers was waiting for official word from the training staff before committing to that. He should be a solid part of the rotation for the Celtics, but isn't worth consideration in standard sized leagues at this time.

There is a chance that Mickael Pietrus (knee) will debut for the Celtics this week.
Beat writer Paul Flannery says "[Pietrus] has looked good in workouts, according to several observers." He gives Boston perimeter defense and capable 3-point shooting, and should instantly find a spot in the rotation, but he's not worth owning in average fantasy leagues.

Doc Rivers is hopeful that Mickael Pietrus (knee surgery) will be able to practice next week.
Rivers said that Pietrus "looks great" in workouts, and he was previously expected to make his debut in mid-January. He'll help to space the floor in the second unit and should take some minutes away from Marquis Daniels and/or Sasha Pavlovic when he returns.

Mon Jan 2 201218:49Mickael Pietrus could practice Thursday
Mickael Pietrus could practice for the Celtics on Thursday.
He's recovering from knee surgery but has been studying the offense. It sounds like he could play as early as this weekend, which is ahead of schedule. He'll have a nice role for the Celtics but will probably only be worth using in fantasy if Paul Pierce has more problems with his heel.

Fri Dec 30 201111:43Pietrus likely to make debut in mid-January
Mickael Pietrus (knee surgery) is "likely" to make his debut in mid-January.
That would put Pietrus back in action right around the middle of January. The Celtics could certainly use him to stretch the floor in the second unit, but owners don't need to do anything but monitor his progress in the mean time. Marquis Daniels and Sasha Pavlovic will continue to see increased minutes until Pietrus is healthy.

Tue Dec 27 201111:26Pietrus about 10 days away from returning
Mickael Pietrus (knee) won't "see any action" for approximately another 10 days.
Pietrus is rehabbing from offseason knee surgery, and the Celtics are being extra cautious in not pushing him back too soon. When he does return, Pietrus figures to see regular run off the bench and could be worth a look for owners desperate for some help behind the arc.
