Fri Mar 28 201422:33Shaun Livingston fills up boxscore vs. Cavs
The Nets beat the Cavaliers in Brooklyn on Friday due thanks in large part to Shaun Livingston's understated eight points, seven rebounds, six assists and three steals.
Livingston doesn't even pretend that he can shoot from outside, going a combined 1-of-6 from downtown this season, but he's settled into an enormously productive role as the Nets' starting SG. Even though his real-world value doesn't translate perfectly to fantasy leagues, he's still returning top-80 value since early February.

Sat Mar 22 201409:20Nets GM eager to re-sign Shaun Livingston
Nets GM Billy King said that re-signing Shaun Livingston this summer is "priority number one" for Brooklyn.
"He's been pretty successful for us, helped us win games," King said. The difficulty is that Brooklyn can't offer more than the taxpayer's mid-level exception next season, so another team could pry him away with a more lucrative contract. Livingston is averaging 8.9 points on 50 percent shooting, 3.1 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.6 steals since the All-Star break, good enough for late-round value in most fantasy formats.

Thu Mar 20 201400:15Shaun Livingston scores 17 in win
Shaun Livingston stayed hot on Wednesday, hitting 5-of-9 shots and 7-of-9 free throws for 17 points, three rebounds, two assists and a steal.
He's been able to stay in the starting lineup and is averaging 13.2 points, 3.0 rebounds, 3.6 assists and two steals on 54 percent shooting over his last five games. We thought Marcus Thornton might hurt him, but Livingston is still playing solid ball and getting 33 minutes a night. Thornton had 11 points and two 3-pointers tonight, and remains one of the most inconsistent players in the league, along with the Celtics Jeff Green.

Wed Mar 12 201423:35Shaun Livingston plays great vs. Heat
Shaun Livingston was outstanding in his 38 minutes against the Heat on Wednesday with 13 points, seven boards, four assists, three steals and one block.
He had a huge steal late in the win and his length is a great fit for the Nets. It's probably not a coincidence their defense has solidified with more minutes going to Livingston, plus his post game has caused a lot of mismatches to free up shooters on the perimeter. After suffering a gruesome knee injury in 2007, he has to be in the mix for Comeback Player of the Year.

Mon Mar 10 201423:16Livingston scores 18 points in win
Shaun Livingston scored 18 points on 7-of-10 shooting with three rebounds, three assists and a steal over 33 minutes in Monday's win over the Raptors.
Livingston owns the better part of the timeshare with Marcus Thornton and has returned late-round value over the last two weeks, but with 95 percent shooting from the foul line on 2.5 attempts per game over that span it could be a little bit inflated. He's worth owning in 12-team formats but he isn't a must-own player.

Thu Mar 6 201400:00Shaun Livingston fills stat sheet in win
Shaun Livingston started again on Wednesday and scored just two points, but also had five rebounds, three assists, a steal and a block in 23 minutes.
He hit just 1-of-2 shots, while Marcus Thornton came off the bench for 20 points and four 3-pointers. Livingston continues to cling to fantasy value, but if Thornton ever gets the starting job in his place, Livingston should be dropped.

Sat Mar 1 201423:27Shaun Livingston plays well despite Thornton
Shaun Livingston hit 7-of-11 shots for 14 points, three rebounds, zero assists and two steals in Saturday's win over the Bucks.
Livingston could play point guard on Monday after Deron Williams apparently banged up his right wrist tonight. Livingston played pretty well despite a big game from Marcus Thornton (25 points), but hasn't really been reliabel enough to use in most fantasy leagues since suffering a tail bone injury recently. However, if Williams is out on Monday, Livingston could be a sneaky play.

Thu Feb 27 201402:43Shaun Livingston plays 12 minutes in return
Shaun Livingston returned from a tailbone injury and played just 12 minutes on Wednesday, missing all four of hi shots and failing to score.
Marcus Thornton finally made his Nets debut tonight and played 27 minutes for nine points. It's far from a lock to happen, but we expect Thornton to cut into Livingston's minutes, while potentially even stealing his job at some point. For now Livingston is still the starter, but given how bad the Nets were tonight and what a cluster the box score was, Livingston's strong run that took place earlier this season is probably over.

Wed Feb 26 201413:34Shaun Livingston (tailbone) ready to go Wed.
Shaun Livingston (tailbone) will return to the Nets' starting lineup on Wednesday.
He sat out Sunday's game which shifted Andrei Kirilenko into the starting lineup with Joe Johnson at SG, but Jason Kidd seems content sticking with his usual backcourt of Livingston and Deron Williams. Marcus Thornton (food poisoning) is also ready to play but neither Thornton nor Livingston are reliable fantasy options in their current roles.

Tue Feb 25 201414:26Shaun Livingston (tailbone) game-time Wed.
Shaun Livingston (bruised tailbone) practiced on Tuesday and will be a game-time decision vs. the Blazers on Wednesday.
The injury doesn't sound serious but Livingston's already shaky value may have been ruined for good when the Nets acquired Marcus Thornton to help out in the backcourt. Over his past four games, Livingston is averaging 6.8 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists, with zero 3-pointers or steals to his credit.

Sun Feb 23 201419:42Shaun Livingston won't play vs. the Lakers
Shaun Livingston (tailbone) will not play against the Lakers on Sunday night.
He bruised his tailbone in Oakland last night and said there was a good chance he will not play. Livingston is likely just day-to-day with this issue, but this problem combined with Marcus Thornton's arrival might be too much for his fantasy owners to keep him on rosters. If there's a free agent worth grabbing, it makes sense to swap him out for Livingston.

Sun Feb 23 201410:23Shaun Livingston unsure if he will play Sun.
Shaun Livingston (bruised tailbone) is unsure if he will be available to play in Sunday's game vs. the Lakers.
Livingston suffered a bruised tailbone on Saturday and did not return to the game. When asked if he would be available to play Sunday, his tone was not very optimistic. If he's unable to suit up, it's possible that Marcus Thornton will get some additional minutes, but most of the burden should fall on the shoulders of Joe Johnson. Stay tuned, as we will have official confirmation on Livingston's status closer to the tip.

Sun Feb 23 201400:38Shaun Livingston suffers tailbone injury
Shaun Livingston suffered a bruised tailbone on Saturday and will not return.
X-rays were negative and this seems more like a day-to-day issue. Livingston has played extremely well this season and it's hard to imagine the Nets using Marcus Thornton too much unless they need 3-pointers in a comeback. His status is up in the air for Sunday vs. the Lakers.

Thu Feb 20 201401:29Shaun Livingston plays 40 minutes in start
Shaun Livingston played 40 minutes against the Jazz during a 105-99 win on Wednesday with nine points, five boards, seven assists and one block.
He could be losing his starting job to newly-acquired Marcus Thornton, but it's hard to imagine coach Jason Kidd bumping Livingston after his tremendous output in 2014. His owners can probably expect a small dip, but he's not going to have his value crushed like Steve Blake did tonight.

Thu Feb 6 201422:38Shaun Livingston blocks four shots vs. Spurs
Shaun Livingston blocked four shots against the Spurs on Thursday with eight points with five boards, four assists and one turnover in 31 minutes.
He had a whopping 11 steals over his three previous games and has really been able to get some good shots in halfcourt sets. Livingston's size has really helped him develop a nice post game and his first step is a lot better than anticipated considering his knee injury from back in 2008. As long as you're fine with him not hitting threes, he's a decent player to own in standard leagues.

Tue Feb 4 201410:07Shaun Livingston becoming important to Nets
Shaun Livingston is playing his way into a larger role for the Nets.
"He's a guy gaining confidence week by week," said Paul Pierce. "He has an increased role that I think he hasn't had in years. And he believes in his ability. He's so versatile out there. He can guard the point guard, the two guard, the forwards. He's sort of like our glue guy out there." It's tough to put a lot of stock in Livingston as he is still mainly a bench player, but he still has some value in most fantasy leagues.

Mon Feb 3 201423:09Shaun Livingston has career-high seven steals
Shaun Livingston was outstanding in Monday's win over the Sixers with 13 points, six boards, eight assists and a career-high seven steals in 37 minutes.
He's coming off a season-high 24 points on Saturday and is getting better as the year has progressed. The Nets have confidence in him as the starting shooting guard and he has the stats to go with it. This outburst does come with a grain of salt with Joe Johnson (knee) sitting out, but Livingston did have two nice games coming in. If you want to pick him up and see how it plays out, it seems to make sense.

Sat Feb 1 201422:00Shaun Livingston scores season-high 24 points
Shaun Livingston scored a season-high 24 points against the Pacers during a 97-96 loss on Saturday with three boards, two assists, one steal and one turnover on 10-of-18 shooting.
He was extremely aggressive with the ball tonight and had a lot of success in the high post against some smaller guards like C.J. Watson. Livingston has been a great story this season and he's really showed the best burst since returning from his blown out knee from back in 2008. He won't have a high upside because he doesn't shoot 3-pointers, so he's not worth owning in standard leagues unless you're set in that department.

Sat Feb 1 201400:47Shaun Livingston scores 16 points Friday
Shaun Livingston saw another start on Friday with 16 points, four boards, one assist and three steals in 29 minutes.
Garbage time was a factor as the Nets were embarrassed on their own floor tonight. Livingston will likely be taken out of the first unit following this game and his owners should probably be looking for other options in most formats.
