Ariza scored 24 points (8-13 FG, 6-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT) to go along with six rebounds, seven assists and two steals in 36 minutes Monday against Philadelphia.
Ariza is off to a solid start through four games as he is averaging 17.3 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 4.0 three-pointers a game. He should continue to be a valuable fantasy asset based on the fact that he can provide solid contributions in multiple categories.

Ariza scored efficiently while also hitting from deep, and both will be crucial for him posting big points totals with Dwight Howard (16 shots) and James Harden (18 shots) dominating the touches for Houston.

Ariza (rest) will not play in Wednesday's exhibition contest against the Magic.
Ariza will simply be given the night off, as Wednesday marks the second game of a back-to-back preseason set. With the Rockets gearing up for the beginning of the regular season next week, Ariza is expected to start at small forward for Houston this term.
Mon Jul 21 201411:36Trevor Ariza talks about contract with HOU
Trevor Ariza said he joined the Rockets because he was "familiar" with his surroundings.
"I just felt like the fit here was similar to what I had in Washington," Ariza said. It sounds like the Rockets and Wizards offered very similar money, but Ariza went with the four-year, $32 million offer from the Rockets. He's a great fit with Houston's up-tempo, triple-happy offense and he should be able to put up solid numbers.

Sat Jul 12 201414:11Rockets 'seriously pursuing' Trevor Ariza
The Rockets are "seriously pursuing" Trevor Ariza, indicating that they may not be ready to match Chandler Parsons' three-year, $46 million offer sheet.
Houston was also chasing Luol Deng but they've fallen out of the running. If the Rockets ultimately decide to keep Parsons despite his hefty price tag, the Mavericks' attention would immediately turn to Ariza, Deng and possibly Lance Stephenson as they seek to replace free agent Shawn Marion.

Fri Jul 11 201414:17Mavs giving up on Parsons, eyeing Ariza, Deng
The Mavericks appear to be resigned to the fact the Rockets are going to match their offer sheet to Chandler Parsons, meaning Dallas will now turn it's sights to guys like Trevor Ariza and Luol Deng.
Ariza is younger and has more gas left in the tank, while Deng is a more consistent and reliable option. Either way, it would be pretty shocking at this point if both Chris Bosh and Chandler Parsons aren't both in the Rockets starting lineup next season.

Mon Jul 7 201414:03Trevor Ariza being pursued by several teams
Trevor Ariza is being pursued by the Mavericks, Lakers, Heat and Cavaliers.
He is seeking a deal in the $9-11 million range, which would be a little to rich for the Heat if they're able to bring back all of the big three. Ariza is one of several wings who will likely be a consolation prize after LeBron and Carmelo Anthony make their decisions.

Wed Jul 2 201401:21Wizards optimistic about keeping Trevor Ariza
Free agent Trevor Ariza is reportedly speaking with Wizards president Ernie Grunfeld on Tuesday night, to "potentially work out a deal."
Ariza has no shortage of suitors around the league, but many of those teams are hedging their bets while Carmelo Anthony is still available. The Wizards' ability to quickly lock up Marcin Gortat may have "inspired" Ariza to pursue a similarly quick deal in free agency, and it can't hurt that he's coming off a career-best season alongside John Wall with newly re-signed coach Randy Wittman at the helm. It shouldn't take long for more details to surface.

Tue Jul 1 201409:30Trevor Ariza to meet with Wizards on Tuesday
The Wizards are sending team personnel to Los Angeles to convince unrestricted free agent Trevor Ariza to re-sign with the team.
Director of player development Ed Tapscott will meet with Ariza on Tuesday and there were reports that head coach Randy Wittman had made the trip as well. Ariza is coming off one of the best seasons of his career in which he averaged 14.4 points, 2.3 three-pointers, 4.6 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.6 steals and is rumored to have multiple suitors that include the Wizards and the Cavaliers. The 29-year-old had some trouble staying healthy previous to the 2013-14 season, but can be a promising fantasy asset when healthy as he is able to provide value in most categories.

Mon Jun 30 201419:06Randy Wittman to visit Trevor Ariza in LA
Randy Wittman is flying out to Los Angeles to meet with pending unrestricted free agent Trevor Ariza, according to people with knowledge of the situation.
Ariza is going to be a popular name during free agency as the veteran put up career-high numbers across the board last season with 14.4 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 2.3 three-pointers per game. Once a defensive specialist, Ariza is now the total package, and he was a big factor in the Wizards winning their first second-round playoff game since 1982. While the Wizards seem to be the frontrunners to retain Ariza's services, the Lakers, Clippers, Mavericks, Rockets, and Suns will also be making pitches.

Sun Jun 29 201415:53Lakers have 'strong interest' in Trevor Ariza
The Lakers are expected to have "strong interest" in signing free agent SF Trevor Ariza.
Ariza is coming off a solid season with the Wizards, who remain one of the leading candidates to sign him, but they'll face competition from the Lakers, Clippers, Mavericks, Rockets and Suns. During his 10-year career, Ariza has grown from a defensive specialist to a quality all-around player, and he averaged 14.4 points while shooting a career-best 40.7 percent from downtown last season (2.3 triples per game).

Fri Jun 27 201409:38Wizards set to visit Ariza after Gortat
The Wizards will visit unrestricted free agent Trevor Ariza after Marcin Gortat this summer.
The Wizards will send a contingent of front-office guys along with coach Randy Wittman to Portland to talk with Gortat, so presumably the same group will head to meet with Ariza. The swingman had a magnificent season in DC, but the team doesn't need him quite as badly as Gortat since they do have Martell Webster and 2013 lottery pick Otto Porter. Still, Ariza is a very high priority for the Wizards.

Sat May 17 201409:14Free agent Trevor Ariza would re-sign in D.C.
Trevor Ariza said on Thursday that the Wizards will "100 percent" be on his short-list of destinations as an unrestricted free agent this summer.
The 28-year-old Ariza averaged 14.4 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.6 steals this season, setting himself up for a big payday in free agency. He poured in 2.3 triples per game, to his fantasy owners' delight, and shot even better in the postseason when he made 44.6 percent of his attempts from downtown. His solid defense and ability to stretch the court offensively should have him high on most team's wish-lists.

Trevor Ariza scored a career playoff-high 30 points vs. the Bulls in Game 4's 98-89 win on Sunday, adding eight boards, two steals and six 3-pointers.
He had 27 points in the first three quarters and his last bucket served as a dagger to put the Wizards up 12 with 1:03 left in the game. Ariza had a breakout season due largely to his fantastic 56.2 effective field goal percentage, which ranked 12th in the NBA. He's going to be making some big-time money this offseason.

Wed Apr 9 201421:49Trevor Ariza plays for Wiz, sort of
Trevor Ariza returned from a bout with the flu, but probably should have stayed in bed, missing all six of his shots and failing to score in an overtime loss to the Bobcats.
Ariza had a nice season and has been sick for some time, and clearly wasn't feeling great tonight. He should bounce back in the next one, assuming he plays in it.

Wed Apr 9 201412:02Trevor Ariza (flu) cleared to play Wednesday
Trevor Ariza (flu) went through Wednesday's shootaround and he's been cleared to play vs. the Bobcats.
Ariza recently overcame a groin injury but it was the flu that caused him to struggle in Washington's previous two games. Ariza has been a steady fantasy option all year, and since the All-Star break he's averaging 14.8 points, 2.4 threes, 6.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.3 steals in 35 minutes per game.

Mon Apr 7 201413:28Trevir Ariza (flu) does not practice Monday
Trevor Ariza (flu) did not practice Monday, leaving him questionable to play Wednesday.
He scored two points in 30 minutes on Saturday and clearly wasn't his usual self. With multiple days to rest before Washington's next game, however, fantasy owners can be reasonably confident that he'll be in uniform.
