Fri Mar 11 201122:26Reggie Evans grabs 16 boards in win
Reggie Evans had one point and 16 rebounds in Friday's win.
That's 27 rebounds in his two games since returning from a broken foot, but he won't do much else.

Wed Mar 9 201122:47Reggie Evans returns with 11 rebounds
Reggie Evans returned from an extended absence and had two points and 11 rebounds in 33 minutes Wednesday, picking up right where he left off.
Amir Johnson left in the first half with a sprained ankle and didn't return, which worked in Evans' favor. Evans is only good for rebounds (for the most part) and will struggle to get these kind of minutes once Johnson is back. Use him at your own discretion.

Wed Mar 9 201114:05Reggie Evans expected to suit up Wednesday
Reggie Evans is expected to be in uniform for Wednesday's game against the Jazz.
Evans was a rebounding machine earlier this season, but expectations need to be tempered given that he hasn't played since November. His return may cut slightly into the value of Amir Johnson and Ed Davis, but we'd be surprised if Evans gets major minutes at the expense of the Raptors' younger big men.

Mon Mar 7 201118:07Reggie Evans practices
Reggie Evans (foot) practiced Monday and is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Jazz.
Evans hasn't played since November 26. Although he was starting and averaging 12.1 rebounds per game before going down, the landscape in Toronto has changed dramatically. Amir Johnson and Ed Davis are both playing well as future building blocks, meaning Evans will likely have a bit role.

Sat Feb 26 201114:36Reggie Evans (foot) out Sunday, Tuesday
Reggie Evans (foot) won't play Sunday and is also "highly doubtful" for Tuesday.
The Raptors veteran has been limited to non-contact drills, and his fantasy prospects have been dimmed by the rise of Amir Johnson and Ed Davis.

Sat Feb 12 201114:53Reggie Evans (foot) likely out through A.S.B.
Reggie Evans (foot) is still limited to non-contact drills and the Raptors don't expect him to play before the All-Star break.
Evans seems unlikely to regain the starting PF job while Amir Johnson is healthy, and even at his peak he's nothing more than a rebound specialist in fantasy leagues.

Mon Feb 7 201109:30Reggie Evans should return near All-Star
Reggie Evans should return from his broken foot "probably close to the All-Star [break]," according to Raptors coach Jay Triano.
Evans will face tougher competition for minutes now that Amir Johnson is thriving and Ed Davis is developing in a bench role. Toronto may attempt to trade the veteran PF but his injury has made that less likely.

Thu Feb 3 201110:38Evans close to practice?
Reggie Evans (foot) may be close to getting back in practice, according to beat writer Doug Smith.
The Raptors have been very quiet about the injuries to Evans, Leandro Barbosa and Linas Kleiza. Evans, who has been out two months, will likely need significant practice time before playing major minutes. Additionally, Amir Johnson is finally flashing some consistency to go with all his talent. We're not adding the one-dimensional Evans.

Thu Jan 20 201110:46Reggie Evans targeting Feb. 17
Reggie Evans (foot) said he is targeting Feb. 17 for his return.
That date is the Raptors' first game after the All-Star break. The Raptors' coaches and brass have been complaining about how much they miss Evans' toughness, so you can be sure he'll have a major role upon his return. Evans started 15 games before going down and averaged 12.1 rebounds a night. Amir Johnson will slide off the radar once Evans gets to full strength.

Wed Jan 19 201113:59Reggie Evans hoping to return early February
Reggie Evans (foot) is hoping to return before the All-Star break, and possibly during the first week of February.
Evans is "working hard" in the gym again, which is no surprise considering his build and relentless motor on the court. His return is a serious downer for owners of Amir Johnson and Ed Davis, who will both likely cede minutes to the veteran PF.
Wed Dec 1 201021:02Reggie Evans to miss 8 weeks after surgery
Reggie Evans is expected to be sidelined for approximately eight weeks after having surgery on his fractured foot.
Amir Johnson started on Wednesday night but was struggling. He should get plenty of run over the next two months, but still doesn't look like a guy who is a must-start fantasy player right now.

Tue Nov 30 201019:36Evans (foot) set for surgery on Tuesday
Updating an earlier item, Reggie Evans will have surgery on his fractured foot on Thursday.
There's still no word on who will start between Joey Dorsey and Amir Johnson, but the fact that Jay Triano wants to protect Amir from foul trouble may give Dorsey the edge. That said, Johnson leads the team with a +36 plus-minus rating, and still has the best chance for long-term value.

Tue Nov 30 201009:15Evans says he'll have his surgery Dec. 2
Reggie Evans tweeted that he'll have surgery on his fractured foot December 2.
Evans didn't mention a timetable, but he'll almost certainly be out an extended period now. The fracture was serious enough that it couldn't heal on its own. Owners in most formats can drop Evans, who was averaging 12.1 rebounds and 1.3 steals but contributing nowhere else.

Mon Nov 29 201014:16Still no timetable on Evans
Coach Jay Triano said Sunday he still doesn't have a timetable on Reggie Evans (fractured foot) as options are discussed.
"I don't know what the doctors are going to say, I don't know what the rehab time is but he's not coming back this week, or next," said Triano. Fractures typically take at least a month to heal, but this sounds like a hairline type of injury. Regardless, owners in most leagues won't be able to hang on to the one-trick pony while he rehabs.

Sun Nov 28 201012:51Diagnosis: Evans has non-displaced fracture
According to Raptors radio play-by-play man Paul Jones, Reggie Evans has a non-displaced fracture of the fifth metatarsal on his right foot.
The team and Evans are exploring what the best course of treatment should be, although no timetable has been announced yet.

Sun Nov 28 201004:29Evans' foot injury bad, but could be worse
Reggie Evans' foot injury is apparently not as bad as previously thought, according to teammates.
"I WILL FIND OUT EVERYTHING 2MORROW T DOT. BUT ITS NOTHING LIKE LAST YEAR," Evans tweeted Saturday evening. Amir Johnson, the primary beneficiary of his absence said, "It's not a major injury like last year, he'll be back fighting (in) two, maybe three weeks." The Toronto Sun says that a 4-6 week timetable is a best-case scenario, with results of tests to be made available before Sunday's game. Johnson should still be owned in all leagues with this news.
Fri Nov 26 201022:17Reggie Evans fractures foot in loss to Boston
Reggie Evans suffered a fractured right foot in Friday's loss to Boston.
He's obviously going to miss time and Amir Johnson should be picked up immediately in all leagues. Run, don't walk.

Fri Nov 26 201021:23Reggie Evans leaves with foot injury
Reggie Evans limped to the locker room in the second half of Friday's game with a right foot sprain and his return is doubtful.
He'll have X-rays and if the injury is serious, Amir Johnson will be an automatic pick up in fantasy leagues. This is not the same foot he had problems with last year, which is a good thing.

Wed Nov 24 201023:00Reggie Evans hauls in career-best 22 boards
Reggie Evans double-doubled with 12 points and a career-high 22 rebounds in Wednesday's win.
He even had a couple steals and a block in his best game of the season, and got started early, with 10 boards in the first quarter. His strong start limited Amir Johnson tonight. If you want to pick Evans up, go for it. Just keep in mind he came in averaging 3.2 ppg. He'll get you boards and steals, but not much more.
Tue Nov 16 201022:32Evans (flu) returns to action on Tuesday
Reggie Evans (flu) returned to action in Tuesday's blowout loss to the Raptors, scoring five points on 1-of-4 shooting with nine rebounds, four assists, and three steals in 18 minutes.
The rebounding specialist got active in the box score, but that is clearly a fluke. It's hard to get a read on the rotation with the game well in hand by midway through the third quarter, but if you own him you'll want to hang onto him for at least another game to see where this goes.
