Tue Jul 3 201216:05Nets near sign-and-trade for Reggie Evans
The Nets are reportedly finalizing a sign-and-trade deal with the Clippers for veteran PF Reggie Evans.
Evans is a rebounding machine and a tough frontcourt presence, and by signing him the Nets continue to build a veteran team meant to win next year (and convince Deron Williams that he can compete immediately in Brooklyn). Terms of the deal should be available soon.

Sat Jun 30 201209:55Clips won't keep Kenyon Martin, Reggie Evans
The Clippers are not expect to make offers to free agents Kenyon Martin and Reggie Evans.
We reported in late May that K-Mart wasn't expected to return with the Clippers, and the arrival of Lamar Odom may have made Evans expendable also. Both veterans will likely find a contending team they can help in a defense-and-rebounding bench role.

Sat May 19 201218:17Spurs succeed w/ Hack-a-Reggie strategy
Reggie Evans was intentionally fouled by the Spurs down the stretch in Game 3, and he finished 3-of-10 from the FT line.
Gregg Popovich's masterful season continues. He had his team foul DeAndre Jordan at the end of the first half (DJ missed both), planting a seed of doubt, and followed that up with a hack-a-Reggie strategy that prevented the Clippers' attempted comeback from getting any traction.

Sat May 5 201219:45Reggie Evans (neck) grabs 11 rebounds
Reggie Evans had four points, 11 rebounds and two steals as the Clippers escaped with a victory in Game 3 on Sunday.
Evans slept wrong on Friday and had neck pain prior to this game, but it didn't have a big impact on the Clippers' backup PF. He missed 2-of-8 free throws, including two that gave Memphis new life late in the fourth quarter, but as usual he made up for it with physical defense and rebounding.

Mon Apr 30 201201:01Reggie Evans, K-Mart spark Clippers' defense
Reggie Evans was a major catalyst in the Clippers' 27-point comeback on Sunday, as he came off the bench for seven points, 13 rebounds, one steal and one block in 21 minutes.
The Clippers benefitted from lockdown interior defense by Reggie and Kenyon Martin (four points, three rebounds, three blocks in 15 minutes), and Vinny Del Negro just kept riding his veteran big men. As a consequence, Reggie had a +/- rating of +23, while DeAndre Jordan posted a -19.

Mon Apr 23 201200:47Reggie Evans flops in return for Clippers
Reggie Evans returned on Sunday after missing two games with the flu, scoring one point, grabbing four rebounds and committing one hilarious flop.
Officials initially charged Greivis Vasquez with a Flagrant-2 foul for the play, but upon review they wisely changed it to a personal. Nothing will come of it, but the NBA does have a 'flop rule' on the books -- as league executive Stu Jackson described it in 2008, "Our objective is to get the most egregious flops, the ones where the player's just flat taking a dive." Follow the link and judge for yourself.

Reggie Evans will miss Wednesday's game due to the flu.
This should actually be good news for the minutes of DeAndre Jordan.

Tue Mar 13 201203:14Evans slows down against the Celtics
Reggie Evans scored four points on 2-of-3 shooting with four rebounds and a steal in 20 minutes off the bench on Monday.
Evans posted a double-double with 11 points and 12 boards on Sunday against the hapless Warriors, and 13 rebounds in the game before on Friday. As you can see, if the rebounding specialist isn't going to clean the glass every night then he's not going to cut it in that role.

The Clippers fell at home to the Warriors on Sunday, 93-97, despite Reggie Evans posting his first double-double of the season with 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Evans even had three assists and one steal in this throwback performance. He got extra playing time (21 minutes) with Kenyon Martin (ribs) still out of commission.

Reggie Evans grabbed 13 rebounds in Friday's game with Kenyon Martin (ribs) out of action.
Evans logged 28 minutes and scored two points without any other contributions. If Martin misses any more time and you're hard up for rebounds, give him a look.

Tue Feb 21 201204:06Evans grabs 12 boards in loss to Warriors
Reggie Evans grabbed 12 rebounds in Monday's loss to the Warriors, and added six points on 2-of-3 shooting with three steals and a block in 26 minutes.
Evans played well and Blake Griffin (29 minutes) was in some foul trouble tonight. We'll let you know if he makes a habit of this, but for now he's hands off in fantasy.

Thu Jan 12 201207:26Clippers like Reggie Evans' energy off bench
Vinny Del Negro praised Reggie Evans for the energy he brings to the lineup.
"Reggie is constant energy," he said. "He's going to work on the offensive glass. Defensively, he's going to cause havoc." He's working the glass in his traditional fashion despite playing just 19 minutes per game, averaging seven boards and a block per game.

Thu Jan 5 201219:44Reggie Evans (foot) expects to play next week
Reggie Evans (foot) said Thursday that he expects to play next week.
Evans will provide solid depth behind Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan, but mostly he will keep them from wearing down. If anything were to happen to either player, Evans would be worth a look as a rebounding specialist and nothing more.

Thu Dec 22 201118:58Clippers about to sign Reggie Evans
The Los Angeles Clippers are putting the final touches on signing Reggie Evans to a one-year contract worth about $1.3 million.
Evans was spotted at the Clippers practice facility on Friday talking with team personnel. Evans is currently nursing a foot injury and may not be able to play for about two more weeks, but when healthy he will bring toughness and veteran stability to an exciting young Clippers front court this season. The 31-year old Evans averaged a career-high 11.5 rebounds per game last season for the Toronto Raptors in 35 appearances while making 22 starts.

Tue Dec 20 201120:55Report: Clippers ready to sign Reggie Evans
The Clippers are said to be close to signing free agent rebounder Reggie Evans.
Wow. The Clippers are in the zone, as we can't think of a much better fit for either the team or Evans. The league's oldest rebounding stud would mentor and back up two of the league's youngest rebounding studs (Blake Griffin & DeAndre Jordan). Well done, Clips.
