Sun Dec 16 201200:27Drew Gooden cracks Bucks' rotation
Drew Gooden, who has quietly returned to the Bucks' rotation, finished Saturday's game with five points, four rebounds and one steal in 13 minutes.
Gooden racked up unlimited DNP-CDs until just this week, when (probably due to injuries) Scott Skiles began giving him custodial minutes at the end of the rotation. He has no fantasy appeal.

Mon Nov 26 201209:52Report: Bucks actively shopping Drew Gooden
The Bucks are "trying to move" Drew Gooden in a trade, according to beat writer Gery Woelfel.
Good luck with that. Gooden is owed about $20 million total through the 2014-15 season and hasn't played in a game all season. The Bucks would likely have to take another bad contract (or two) in return to get any other team to even be interested in the veteran big man.

Fri Nov 9 201212:31Drew Gooden inactive Friday vs. Wizards
After three straight DNP-CDs, Drew Gooden will be inactive Friday against the Wizards.
No reason has been given for Scott Skiles' sudden disinterest in Gooden, who averaged 29 minutes per game last season. Whatever value Gooden had is gone as long as he remains out of favor.

Sun Nov 4 201203:47Drew Gooden picks up another DNP-CD
Drew Gooden picked up another DNP-CD on Saturday.
Gooden averaged 29 minutes in 46 starts for the Bucks last season, but there is no suggestion of an injury and it looks like Scott Skiles has simply excluded him from the rotation.

Sat Nov 3 201203:22Gooden does not play on Friday vs. Celtics
Drew Gooden was a DNP-CD on Friday night against the Celtics.
That's all we know at this point, and the versatile power forward didn't play much in the preseason, either. Any momentum he had in fantasy leagues is squashed until we learn more about why he was absent.

Fri Apr 27 201204:10Gooden (ankle) does not play on Thursday
Drew Gooden (ankle) did not play on Thursday against the Celtics.
Gooden jumped onto the scene and put up huge numbers, but his fall-off late will factor into the post-season awards we give out around here. Regardless, he was still a monster off the waiver wire and proved that he has some serious old-man game.

Wed Apr 25 201219:10Drew Gooden (ankle) will not play Wednesday
Drew Gooden (ankle) will not play on Wednesday, leaving the Bucks with a starting frontcourt of Ekpe Udoh and Jon Leuer.
The Bucks' season is two games away from ending and it appears that their veterans are in full shut-down mode. It would be very surprising to see Gooden in uniform on Thursday.

Tue Apr 24 201200:35Gooden plays just 13 minutes in loss
Drew Gooden played just 13 minutes in the Bucks' elimination game against the Raptors, scoring two points on 1-of-7 shooting with three rebounds and that's it.
Scott Skiles did a few weird things tonight, including putting little-used Jon Leuer into the rotation early in the game. In Gooden's case, Skiles simply had a quick hook tonight. As usual in Milwaukee, we don't want to discount the possibility that Gooden continues to play as Skiles demands a sprint to the finish, but the writing is on the wall. Ekpe Udoh is ready for heavy minutes and Gooden is beat up. The end could be here.

Thu Apr 19 201222:24Gooden scores 15 points with seven boards
Drew Gooden scored 15 points on 6-of-15 shooting (no threes) with seven rebounds, two assists, and one block in 26 minutes of action on Thursday.
Gooden, who has dealt with various ailments recently, can't be in great shape getting such limited run when the Bucks' backs are against the wall in the playoff chase. The team will basically have to win out and get help to have any chance of catching the No. 7 Sixers, and if/when they're eliminated Gooden will be a shutdown candidate. Ekpe Udoh had seven points, six boards, and two blocks in 18 minutes off the bench.

Wed Apr 18 201222:07Drew Gooden double-doubles in loss
Drew Gooden had 21 points, 12 rebounds, six assists and two steals on Wednesday, but the Bucks lost to the Wizards.
This was Gooden's first double-double since March 23rd, and we're still not sure where it came from. Gooden had just seven points and eight boards in his previous game, but did score 26 in the game prior. He's been inconsistent and unreliable, but might be ready to leave it all on the floor as the Bucks make their final push for the playoffs. But after tonight's loss, they're 2.5 games behind the Sixers and time is running out.

Sun Apr 15 201200:00Drew Gooden quiet in another start
Drew Gooden had seven points, eight rebounds and a steal in Saturday's loss.
He's starting at center, but hasn't been that great for the Bucks since Ekpe Udoh arrived on the scene, and will be a dicey play with just three games next week. Udoh had four points in 14 minutes, and Larry Sanders had eight points, six boards, a steal and three blocks in 25 minutes, and the three are likely to share minutes the rest of the way, meaning all of them are very shaky fantasy plays going forward.

Thu Apr 12 201200:39Drew Gooden plays just five minutes in loss
Drew Gooden started at center against the Knicks on Wednesday, but lasted just five minutes and failed to score.
There were no reports of an injury, but it's no secret his back has been bothering him. He tends to struggle against dominant true centers like Tyson Chandler, so it's possible Scott Skiles just decided to go another direction after watching Gooden for five minutes. He'll bounce back from this one and has a much better match up against Greg Monroe on Friday, but then has to face Roy Hibbert on Saturday. And only Scott Skiles knows how many minutes Gooden will play in either of those games.

Tue Apr 10 201202:22Gooden (back) productive in blowout loss
Drew Gooden (back) played in Monday's uncompetitive loss to the Thunder, scoring 14 points on 6-of-10 shooting (including a three) with four rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one block in just 18 minutes.
Gooden looked good but his teammates really struggled here, and we'll be watching the postgame and morning reports (if they surface) to see how he did overnight. Owners can be cautiously optimistic following tonight's action that he's ready to produce.

Mon Apr 9 201219:24Gooden (back) available on Monday vs. OKC
Drew Gooden (back) is available and there have been no reports to suggest that he will not play on Monday against the Thunder.
Gooden started on Saturday and scored seven points with eight rebounds, four assists, and a steal in 21 minutes, and that's probably the baseline owners want to use when making their evaluations. If he does better, then you can consider it icing on the cake.

Sun Apr 8 201211:05Drew Gooden still dealing with back tightness
Drew Gooden is still dealing with back tightness.
"It's still tight," he said. "I want to see what I can do." Gooden started on Saturday and had seven points, eight rebounds, four assists and a steal, but he played just 21 minutes. Owners need to keep an eye on Gooden's health to ensure his condition doesn't worsen.

Sat Apr 7 201218:42Gooden and Delfino will both play Saturday
Drew Gooden (back) and Carlos Delfino (groin) will both return to action on Saturday.
Ekpe Udoh has played well enough to suspect that he'll chip away at Gooden's playing time, but he and Shaun Livingston will likely go back to the bench after starting on Friday.

Fri Apr 6 201219:30Gooden, Delfino, Mbah a Moute all out on Fri
Drew Gooden (back), Carlos Delfino (groin), and Luc Richard Mbah a Moute (knee) are all out of Friday's game against the Bobcats.
Gooden is a semi-surprise here because he was expected to play, but given the opponent we shouldn't be all that surprised, really. Owners will want to key in on Gooden's ability to play during the upcoming four-game week as a real indicator of his value, noting that the Bucks have a three-game week after that. Ekpe Upoh will start and becomes a guy to watch very close and is a speculative stash. Mike Dunleavy is a lock to play big minutes, and one of Beno Udrih, Shaun Livingston, and Larry Sanders will likely surprise us tonight.

Thu Apr 5 201212:17Drew Gooden expected back on Friday
Drew Gooden (back) is expected to return on Friday against the Bobcats.
Despite Gooden being in "obvious pain" after Monday's win against the Wizards, Gooden doesn't appear to be bothered by a serious injury. Gooden should be back in the starting lineup on Friday. He's averaging 16.4 points, 7.4 rebounds and 1.0 steals as a starter.

Thu Apr 5 201207:41Drew Gooden was in obvious pain on Monday
Drew Gooden (back) was in "obvious pain" after Monday's win against the Wizards.
This helps to explain why Gooden was ruled out before tipoff with back spasms on Wednesday. He was limited to just six second half minutes on Monday and the Bucks held him out of action because he was still hurting on Wednesday. "He can barely move," said Scott Skiles. We're considering him questionable to play on Friday against the Bobcats.

Wed Apr 4 201219:10Gooden, Delfino out for Bucks
Drew Gooden (back) and Carlos Delfino (groin) have been ruled out for Wednesday's game.
Gooden's DNP came out of nowhere, while Delfino's been hurting for awhile with his groin injury. Beno Udrih is also due back from his hand injury tonight, while Ekpe Udoh looks like a strong play with Gooden in street clothes.
