Wed Mar 6 201323:19World Peace scores 11 on Wednesday
Metta World Peace didn't look bothered by an ankle injury against the Hornets on Wednesday, scoring 11 points with two steals and three 3-pointers in 30 minutes.
He went down with a sprain against the Thunder on Tuesday and there's nothing to worry about here. MWP hasn't been all that great throughout the season, shooting just 40 percent from the field, but his 2.0 triples per game have made him worth owning in all leagues that count 3-pointers.

Wed Mar 6 201318:58MWP, Kobe, Howard will play for Lakers
Metta World Peace will be in the lineup for the Lakers on Wednesday night after twisting his ankle on Tuesday.
The injury is apparently minor and we'd play MWP as you normally would have before news of the ankle sprain. Dwight Howard and Kobe Bryant, who are also dealing with injuries, will also be in the lineup for the Lakers on Wednesday.

Wed Mar 6 201318:26World Peace has sprained ankle, will be a GTD
Metta World Peace will be a game-time decision against the Hornets on Wednesday after an MRI showed he has a sprained right ankle.
World Peace didn't seem too concerned about the injury on Tuesday, but it appears the ankle is a little worse than he originally let on. We should get the official word on his status for tonight's game within roughly an hour, so owners will want to check back shortly before tip-off for confirmation either way. If he's sidelined, Antawn Jamison and Earl Clark would likely eat up his minutes.

Wed Mar 6 201308:20Metta World Peace (ankle) to be reevaluated
Metta World Peace's ankle X-rays were "inconclusive," and he'll have further tests done on Wednesday.
Although World Peace said he just did a Harlem Shake and would be "OK," it's a little concerning that X-rays weren't deemed negative. The good news is that he didn't seem too concerned about the injury saying that he expected to play, but ultimately his availability will be determined by what the tests reveal. If he is forced to sit, Antawn Jamison and Earl Clark would each be thrust into more minutes.

Wed Mar 6 201301:21MWP scores 16 with three 3's, injures ankle
Metta World Peace hit 5-of-11 shots and three 3-pointers for 16 points, three rebounds and an assist in Tuesday's loss to the Thunder, but also suffered a sprained ankle in the process.
He was left wide open from downtown and actually knocked them down tonight. MWP came in averaging just 9.2 points on 42 percent shooting over his last five, but was also hitting 44 percent of his 3-pointers over that stretch. He's as hit-or-miss as they come, but is still worth a roll of the dice in many fantasy leagues as long as he's starting. His ankle injury is now a concern and owners should watch for news on Wednesday, prior to their game against the Hornets.

Thu Feb 28 201318:30Metta World Peace nears automatic suspension
The NBA has retroactively charged Metta World Piece with a Flagrant 2 foul for a play in Monday's game against the Nuggets.
World Peace appeared to elbow Nuggets forward Kenneth Faried in the face during play in the third quarter. There was no foul called on the play, but the league decided to up it to a flagrant after reviewing the play. World Peace and teammate Dwight Howard are now tied for the league lead with five flagrant foul points and either would be subject to an automatic one-game suspension if called for a Flagrant 1 foul between now and the end of the regular season. If either World Peace or Howard are called for a Flagrant 2, the automatic suspension is for two games.

Sun Feb 24 201316:04World Peace has problems in win over Dallas
Metta World Peace didn't make any of his six field goals and finished with one point, two boards, one assist and one steal in 37 minutes against Dallas on Sunday.
It was one of his worst games of the year and to put it nicely, his shot selection wasn't great. in the win. World Peace playing 37 minutes is still a good sign and he did make two threes in each of his last five games, so he should be owned in all leagues.

Wed Feb 13 201302:35Metta World Peace finally plays well
Metta World Peace broke out of a funk and had 17 points, eight rebounds, four steals, a block and two 3-pointers on 6-of-16 shooting in Tuesday's win over the Suns.
Despite tonight's line, MWP is still hitting just 26 percent of his shots in February, and we're guessing that part of the reason Kobe Bryant decided not to shoot tonight was to get MWP back on track. Maybe it worked, as this was easily his best game since he had 15 points and 10 boards back on Jan. 27. World Peace's shooting is still too risky for him to be in many lineups right now, but he'll eventually break out of his funk, and might have gotten back on the right track tonight.

Thu Feb 7 201313:24World Peace set to return from suspension
Metta World Peace served his one-game suspension on Tuesday and is set to return for Thursday's game against the Celtics.
A guy named World Peace getting suspended for violence is pretty humorous, although his fantasy owners didn't find it all that funny. He makes for a nice player to own with guys like Pau Gasol and Dwight Howard injured for the Lakers.

Tue Feb 5 201312:12Metta World Peace suspended for one game
Metta World Peace has been suspended for one game for "grabbing Brandon Knight around the neck and striking him in the jaw."
Knight lobbied the league to take a look at the incident after Sunday's game, but they were going to review the footage regardless after a flagrant foul was called. As a result of the suspension, World Peace will not play on Wednesday, and the Lakers could opt to slide Kobe Bryant to small forward with Darius Morris or Jodie Meeks starting at shooting guard.

Sun Feb 3 201317:44Metta World Peace may have thrown punch?
Metta World Peace was given a flagrant foul after possibly throwing a "short uppercut" at Brandon Knight during Sunday's game, and Knight was adamant that the play be reviewed by the NBA.
"He definitely threw a punch," said Knight. "That's why I reacted the way I did ... The play was over and he grabbed me around the neck." Metta didn't seem concerned after the game but his reputation may precede him, and we'll keep an eye out for possible repercussions from the league.

Thu Jan 31 201301:59World Peace bounces back but Lakers lose
Metta World Peace bounced back from an off night with 15 points, five rebounds, a steal, a block and three 3-pointers, but struggled with his shot on 6-of-17 shooting.
He was 1-of-8 for three points on Tuesday, and would have been better tonight had he not missed so many 3-pointers (he was 3-of-10 from downtown). He's having a great season, but is always a candidate to start shooting it poorly without notice. And we may be there right now, as he's hit just 18-of-55 shots over his last four games. This looks like a good time to start making some low-ball offers on MWP.

Wed Jan 30 201302:26Lakers' MWP struggles as Clark, Jamison shine
Metta World Peace disappeared in Tuesday's win over the Hornets with three points and four rebounds in 23 minutes on 1-of-8 shooting.
MWP was hot coming into this one, averaging 15 points, seven boards and three 3-pointers in his previous four games. Antawn Jamison and Earl Clark got hot tonight, and despite the fact World Peace is now shooting 35 percent over his last five games, he should bounce back in his next game. Stick with him.

Tue Jan 22 201300:23Metta World Peace scores 12 in nice line
Metta World Peace brought some defense on Monday with four steals and three blocks against the Bulls, adding 12 points, eight boards, one assist and one 3-pointer.
He played terrific in the loss and this game would have been a major blowout without MWP. Nobody really knows what Mike D'Antoni is going to do these days, but it seems all of his plans should involve World Peace. He should be owned in all leagues.

Sun Jan 20 201315:55Metta World Peace scores just nine points
Metta World Peace scored nine points in a 108-103 loss to the Raptors on Sunday, adding three boards, three steals and two 3-pointers in 26 minutes.
He did lose some of his playing time to a head-turning Earl Clark and the 26 minutes were his third-lowest total of the season. MWP still took six attempts from beyond the arc and will always be helpful in steals, so he's still worth owning in all leagues. Antawn Jamison played 30 minutes and scored five points with five boards and one 3-pointer.

Fri Jan 18 201301:56Metta World Peace scores 16 on Thursday
Metta World Peace made two 3-pointers on Thursday to go with 16 points, three rebounds and three assists in 37 minutes vs. the Heat.
He's been more consistent than almost anyone expected and is averaging 2.1 treys per game this year to go with 14 points and 1.8 steals. MWP seems to have a significant role no matter what Mike D'Antoni decides to do with his rotation.

Mon Jan 14 201300:16Metta OK after brief exit to be stretched
Metta World Peace had eight points in 27 minutes during an easy win on Sunday -- he briefly left the game to get stretched out, but soon returned.
MWP is healthy and he should be deployed as usual in fantasy leagues. He added four rebounds, four steals and one block tonight, and had a blooper-turned-highlight when he bricked a vicious dunk attempt, only to have it drop softly through the hoop.

Sat Jan 12 201302:36Metta World Peace can't hit shots Friday
Metta World Peace shot just 1-of-9 from 3-point range on Friday, scoring 12 points with three rebounds, two assists and one steal in a 116-101 loss to the Thunder on Friday.
He was hot from beyond the arc in his last three games, shooting 11-of-22 in that span. His owners shouldn't be the least bit worried and he has stepped it up with the Lakers having all sorts of issues. He should be owned in all leagues.

Thu Jan 10 201301:06Metta World Peace scores 23 w/ 7 steals
Metta World Peace is enjoying life without Dwight Howard and Pau Gasol, racking up 23 points, eight rebounds, seven steals and three 3-pointers with just one turnover on 10-of-22 shooting in Wednesday's loss to the Spurs.
The reeling Lakers lost their fifth straight game and have to play the Thunder on Friday in Los Angeles. But as far as fantasy goes, MWP is on fire, averaging 23.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 5.5 steals and 3.5 3-pointers over his last two games without Howard and Gasol. Gasol could be back on Friday, but owners should plan to ride MWP until he cools off again, despite the fact he hasn't had an assist in three straight games.

Wed Jan 9 201300:11Metta World Peace scores season-high 24
Metta World Peace started at power forward on Tuesday and hit 9-of-14 shots and four 3-pointers on his way to a season-high 24 points, to go along with six rebounds, four steals and five turnovers.
MWP was the big winner in the absence of Pau Gasol and Dwight Howard, and actually outscored Kobe Bryant to lead the team. Howard's not due back until next week and Gasol is very iffy for Friday, meaning MWP should continue to get all the minutes he can handle.
