Tue Mar 15 201122:28Jeffries goes to the bench, posts 'D' stats
Jared Jeffries moved to the bench in Tuesday's loss, but still managed to block two shots and get two steals, and also managed four points on 2-of-5 shooting with six rebounds in 25 minutes.
Unless you're trolling for steals and blocks, he has no value in fantasy leagues.

Tue Mar 8 201109:28Jeffries will continue to start
Coach Mike D'Antoni confirmed that Jared Jeffries will continue to start at center even once Ronny Turiaf (knee) returns.
This is about the least important lineup decision of the year. In three starts for the Knicks, Jeffries is somehow averaging just 0.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.6 steals and 0.6 blocks even though he is playing 25.1 minutes a night. The Knicks' center spot is the definition of a fantasy wasteland.

Mon Mar 7 201118:59D'Antoni may keep Jeffries as a starting C
Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni shared that Jared Jeffies may be the starting center going forward.
Players like Jared Jeffries are to fantasy sports what empty calories are to eating. He'll eat up a lot of minutes in the rotation but won't get you any stats to show for it. Don't waste your time picking him up.

Sun Mar 6 201121:39Jeffries scores zero points in start
Jared Jeffries had zero points, three rebounds and two steals in Sunday's win over the Hawks.
Jeffries is starting at center and is a good bet for 24-26 minutes nightly, but he doesn't even look to score. There is nothing to see here in fantasy, and Ronny Turiaf will eventually be back to steal some minutes.

Sat Mar 5 201103:04Jeffries scores one point in start at center
Jared Jeffries started again at center on Friday, and scored one point on a free throw with four rebounds, two assists, two steals, and a block in 26 minutes.
The defensive stats are there for the desperate, but he is what he is. Owners have to decide if the juice is worth the squeeze, while also wondering if Mike D'Antoni will stick with the lineup.

Thu Mar 3 201100:50Jeffries makes Knicks debut, has six boards
Jared Jeffries played a whopping 24 minutes in his Knicks' debut but failed to score.
He did have six rebounds and a block, and it's possible he could start at center in the near future. He won't offer much value, but could be worth a look in a deep league. Just keep an eye on him.

Wed Mar 2 201114:36Jeffries could start for Knicks on Wednesday
According to Mitch Lawrence of the New York Daily News, "it wouldn't surprise anyone" if Jared Jeffries starts at center as soon as Wednesday against the Hornets.
If Jeffries does start, Amare Stoudemire would shift to power forward, and Shawne Williams -- who has started two straight games -- would head back to the bench. Regardless of who starts between Williams and Jeffries, neither is likely to contribute much other than some low-level scoring and rebounding with decent defensive stats. At the moment, it's only a situation to monitor in deeper leagues.

Tue Mar 1 201119:34Jeffries officially a Knick, could start some
Multi-purpose defensive specialist Jared Jeffries has officially been signed by the Knicks.
He could start a few games and post some decent defensive numbers, but he stands to be inconsistent as Mike D'Antoni deploys him based on matchups. Unless you're willing to take a loss in other areas for defensive statistics, he's not even worth a stash in normal-sized leagues.

Tue Mar 1 201113:57Jeffries could start for Knicks?
Coach Mike D'Antoni said that Jared Jeffries could eventually start.
Jeffries will sign with the Knicks as soon as he clears waivers. As an elite defender that can guard three positions, Jeffries would make sense for the Knicks' starting five. It would also strengthen the bench as Shawne Williams and Ronny Turiaf would both serve as reserves. Still, Jeffries' inept offensive game make him "hands off" in fantasy.

Thu Feb 24 201121:13Jeffries likely heading back to Knicks
A source close to the Knicks has stated the team will likely try and sign Jared Jeffries upon being bought out by the Rockets.
He is heading back to a very different Knicks team, but he will not have any fantasy value.
Thu Feb 24 201118:42Jared Jeffries a prime buyout target
Jared Jeffries is a likely candidate to see his contract bought out by the Houston Rockets following the trade bonanza.
Jeffries has seen little time with the Rockets this season and there isn't much reason for Houston to hold him. The question is whether there is interest among other teams for his services.

Sun Jan 23 201115:15Jeffries has hyper-extended knee
Jared Jeffries suffered a hyper-extended right knee in Saturday's loss to the Magic and is not traveling with the team.
Jeffries is simply biding his time before a trade or a buyout anyway. He has appeared in just 17 games this season, mostly during garbage time.

Fri Jan 7 201116:28Jeffries likely to be traded or bought out
Rockets forward Jared Jeffries is likely to either be traded or bought out by the Rockets.
Jeffries' expiring $7.4 million contract is an asset that Houston won't sit on as the trade deadline nears. He is unlikely to have fantasy value with any team, however.
Thu Dec 23 201011:16Jeffries expects to be traded
Jared Jeffries said he expects to be traded in the next few weeks.
Jeffries has been a healthy scratch most of the season, but his expiring $7.4 million contract has extreme value. The surging Rockets will be looking to upgrade their roster around the deadline.

Wed Oct 13 201022:46Jeffries plays well in Wednesday's game
Jared Jeffries had 12 points and eight rebounds on 6-of-9 shooting in Wednesday's exhibition game in China.
That's not a bad line, but Shane Battier, who struggled today, should limit Jeffries' touches, at least until the Rockets start dealing with injuries and Jeffries is forced onto the front line.
Thu Aug 5 201015:08Rockets taking offers for Jared Jeffries
The Rockets are drawing interest from around the league for Jared Jeffries and his expiring contract.
The Knicks are reportedly trying to give them Eddy Curry and possibly some other pieces for Jeffries. Jeffries can play everything from shooting guard to center, including defense, while Curry has an expiring deal of his own.

Wed Jun 30 201013:04Jeffries won't opt out of $6.9 million season
Rockets forward Jared Jeffries has decided not to opt out of the final year of his contract, worth $6.9 million.
This is a no-brainer, as Jeffries is a defensive specialist and wouldn't have made nearly this much anywhere else. Isiah Thomas' mismanagement and wild overspending is still reverberating around the league.

Tue Apr 6 201023:44Jared Jeffries double-doubles w/ four blks
Jared Jeffries double-doubled with 12 points and 10 rebounds off the bench on Tuesday, adding four blocks in 28 minutes against the Grizzlies.
Jeffries' minutes should continue to hover in the mid-20s, making him a risky option best used as a steals-and-blocks specialist.
