Sat Nov 16 201316:21Andrew Bynum (personal) expected to play Sat.
Andrew Bynum (personal) is still expected to join the Cavaliers in time for Saturday's game vs. the Wizards.
Mike Brown will start him at center if he's available, which is probable but hasn't been officially confirmed at this point. If you own Bynum or Anderson Varejao, who will shift to the bench, check back before tip-off for a definitive update.

Tue Nov 12 201315:28Andrew Bynum (personal) out next two games
Andrew Bynum will miss the Cavaliers' next two games while attending to a family matter.
He won't play on Wednesday or Friday, which temporarily restores Anderson Varejao to the starting lineup. He'll return for Saturday's game and the good news is that this isn't related to the health of his knees, though the Cavs have already said they'll sit him one game during back-to-back sets in November.

Mon Nov 11 201319:53Andrew Bynum to start on Monday vs. Bulls
Andrew Bynum will start on Monday against the Bulls.
Bynum's workload isn't likely to change much but it's a sign that things are doing better than worse in his rehab. Is he in the clear as a fantasy play or even turning the page from days off and low-minute totals? Not even close. But if you're looking for a big man you might want to keep tabs on his progress.

Mon Nov 11 201315:28Andrew Bynum could become the starter?
Coach Mike Brown said on Monday that starting Andrew Bynum is a possibility.
"I feel like I prepare for a lot of different things, but a lot of it is going to be on gut feel," Brown said. "When my gut feels it, I'll do it." It's mostly speculation and Bynum has played just 17.0 minutes per game in his last three outings, so he's got a long way to go before being a major piece in the rotation. Should it happen, Anderson Varejao is the heavy favorite to be bumped to the bench since he and Bynum have only spent three minutes on the court together. Bynum is going to take a while to become a reliable fantasy asset.

Sat Nov 9 201318:36Andrew Bynum out Saturday in back-to-back
Andrew Bynum will sit out Saturday's game, as expected.
It's the second game of a back-to-back set and Bynum said last week that he would sit as a precaution. Owners should be used to Bynum's DNPs by now, and we anticipate more this month since the Cavaliers play on Friday and Saturday each of the next three weeks.

Fri Nov 8 201323:50Bynum plays 18 minutes in return to Philly
Andrew Bynum returned to Philadelphia on Friday to an unsurprising chorus of boos, scoring four points on 2-of-3 shooting with five rebounds, one steal and one block in 18 minutes.
Bynum has enough issues for most owners to stay away, but he continues to put up respectable per-minute numbers in his very limited time on the court.

Fri Nov 8 201317:41Andrew Bynum 'most likely' to play at Philly
Andrew Bynum will "most likely" play in Friday's game at Philadephia.
The boo birds will be out in full force for his return too Philadelphia. Last season, he never even touched to court during the game and most of the attention on him was due to wild hair styles. Bynum's season high is 19 minutes this season, so he probably won't see much more than that tonight. Tristan Thompson and Anderson Varejao will get most of the minutes up front.

Fri Nov 8 201312:18Andrew Bynum a game-time decision
Andrew Bynum is now listed as a game-time decision against the Sixers in Philadelphia.
An earlier report had him as likely to play, but now it sounds like there's a decent chance he won't play tonight, which would save a lot of booing from the Philly fans.

Fri Nov 8 201308:46Andrew Bynum expected to play vs. Sixers
Andrew Bynum, who said on Thursday he's considered retiring because his knees aren't going to get better any time soon, is expected to play on Friday in Philadelphia.
This should be an interesting reception for Bynum, who played in zero games and one practice for the Sixers last season. Bynum is averaging about 12 minutes per game currently and unless that number goes up to 20-25, there's not much use in holding him in standard fantasy leagues.

Thu Nov 7 201319:00Andrew Bynum: 'I'm a shell of myself'
Andrew Bynum (knees) said on Thursday, "I'm a shell of myself on the court right now. I'm struggling mentally."
He admitted that he's considered retiring after sitting out the entire 2012-13 season, but much of what he said on Thursday stemmed from frustrations about his diminished on-court abilities. "I feel like I can still be a double-double guy in this league," he said, "but it's just going to take some modifications to my game and whether or not I want to accept the challenge and do that." Between limited minutes and the constant threat of DNPs, Bynum is a hard guy to own outside of the deepest leagues.

Thu Nov 7 201301:20Andrew Bynum plays 14 minutes Wednesday
Andrew Bynum played 14 minutes on Wednesday, finishing with four points, four rebounds and zero blocks on 2-of-7 shooting.
Are we having fun yet? It sounds like Bynum plans to keep playing and getting his body back in basketball shape, but if he can't run at full speed, it's going to be a long road back to fantasy relevance.

Wed Nov 6 201313:27Andrew Bynum (knee) probable for Wed. & Fri.
Andrew Bynum (knee) expects to play on both Wednesday and Friday, but he'll sit out Saturday's home game.
He'll get a boisterous reception in Philly on Friday, where the embittered fans will be shouting anything but 'brotherly love'. Bynum still has pain in his knees and his conditioning is nowhere near where it needs to be, so fantasy owners should look elsewhere for reliable production.

Tue Nov 5 201309:17Andrew Bynum experiencing sharp knee pain
Andrew Bynum acknowledged he is experiencing "little, sharp pains" in both of his surgically prepared knees.
This is just about the last thing Bynum's fantasy owners want to hear as he added that he wasn't sure if his explosiveness would return. Bynumn did say that the pain is "nothing too bad" and that he's still working on his conditioning, but this is an ominous sign for a player who missed all of last season because of those same knees. While it's not time to panic and drop Bynum yet, this is a situation we'll be monitoring closely.

Mon Nov 4 201323:33Bynum plays 19 minutes against the Wolves
Andrew Bynum lasted 19 minutes against the Wolves on Monday, scoring 10 points on 2-of-6 shooting (6-of-6 FTs) with four rebounds and three blocks.
By almost all measurements this was a successful outing, but the momentum is somewhat chased by his admission that he won't get his explosion back. Skilled and tall, he should be able to put up some numbers if he can progress in his development, but in terms of ever being a dominant force again if he has doubts they just serve to double-down our own doubts. There's going to be some value here when he eventually can sustain 20-24 mpg, but whether or not he's worth occupying a roster spot is the relevant question.

Mon Nov 4 201318:11Andrew Bynum will play on Monday night
Andrew Bynum will play against the Timberwolves on Monday night.
He's added his explosiveness hasn't come around yet and he'll have to get the job done with footwork. Bynum has been very slow at getting up and down the court and most of the time he gets the ball deep in the paint, but there have been a couple times in which he's had the ball facing the basket. He hasn't played more than 11 minutes in a game yet and he is unlikely to see much playing time tonight.

Sat Nov 2 201317:55Andrew Bynum (knee) ruled out Saturday
Andrew Bynum (knee) will not play on Saturday, as expected.
Back-to-back sets will be a risky proposition for Bynum going forward, and owners should routinely check his status before game-time. Anderson Varejao and Tristan Thompson gain the most in his absence, though Bynum has yet to play more than 11 minutes in a game.

Fri Nov 1 201321:57Bynum plays 11 minutes on Friday
Andrew Bynum played 11 minutes on Friday, scoring five points on 2-of-7 shooting with three rebounds and no steals or blocks.
Bynum has a ways to go and owners considering a stash will really want to weigh their options. While anything is possible, it could be weeks or months before he's effective in fantasy leagues and his durability is obviously a question mark. Chances are you can do more with your roster slot in standard formats. He is likely to miss Saturday's game and we're leaving him on the injury report.

Fri Nov 1 201317:49Andrew Bynum expects to play on Friday
Andrew Bynum (knee) is expected to play on Friday vs. the Bobcats and will likely sit on Saturday against the Pacers.
He only played eight minutes in his season debut and there shouldn't be much of an increase tonight. Bynum was able to take on contact in the post against Brook Lopez, so tonight's task against Bismack Biyombo isn't nearly as tall of an order. However, it'll still be a while before Bynum can be a consistent contributor in fantasy leagues. Tristan Thompson has looked great so far while Anderson Varejao should be a double-double threat.
