Mon Jan 24 201119:25Linas Kleiza (knee) out Monday
Linas Kleiza (knee) has been ruled out for Monday's game.
Kleiza is battling what seems like chronic knee soreness and we can't imagine that he'll get much better without more significant rest. Bench him if you can afford to, or cut him for someone with more promise.
Mon Jan 24 201113:16Kleiza (knee) game-time decision on Monday
Linas Kleiza (knee) is a game-time decision vs. the Grizzlies on Monday.
The Raptors' swingman had been playing through pain for a while -- he finally shut it down for a brief period this month, but returned for just one game before sitting again. Even healthy he's a streaky source of points and 3s.

Sat Jan 22 201118:49Kleiza out again w/ knee issues for Raptors
Linas Kleiza will not play on Saturday as he is still bothered by his sore knee.
Julian Wright will make another start at SF for the Raptors, but skepticism is warranted with Wright and his temporary gig. Kleiza is day-to-day but it seems like he needs some extended rest to get himself right.

Fri Jan 21 201121:50Kleiza, Raps struggle in return from injury
Linas Kleiza returned to the starting lineup from a knee injury Friday but hit just 1-of-6 shots for four points in 23 minutes.
The Raptors were awful tonight, but at least Kleiza is back. It might take him some time to get rolling again, but we're guessing he'll be worth getting back into your lineup in another game or two - as long as he stays in the starting five.
Fri Jan 21 201118:41Kleiza to return from knee injury vs. Magic
Raptors swingman Linas Kleiza will return from his sore knee on Friday.
He will start, as expected, which moves Julian Wright back to a reserve role. The Raptors have also moved Joey Dorsey into the starting lineup in place of Amir Johnson, to combat the size of Dwight Howard.

Fri Jan 21 201111:28Kleiza (knee) likely to return on Friday
Linas Kleiza (knee) appears ready to return for the Raptors on Friday.
Kleiza practiced on Thursday and was feeling good during Toronto's shootaround, so hopefully he won't have any setbacks in the next few hours. His return will move Julian Wright back a reserve role.

Wed Jan 19 201119:54Linas Kleiza out again Wednesday
Linas Kleiza will not play on Wednesday due to his sore knee.
He was close to playing in this one so he shouldn't be out much longer. Julian Wright will start in his place.

Wed Jan 19 201112:04Linas Kleiza a game-time decision
Linas Kleiza (knee) is a game-time decision for Wednesday's game against the Spurs.
Kleiza missed Tuesday's practice and we suspect that he'll rest for another game. If so, Julian Wright would start. We won't know Kleiza's official status until about 8 p.m. ET.

Tue Jan 18 201114:54Linas Kleiza misses Tuesday's practice
Linas Kleiza missed Tuesday's practice after missing Monday's game with knee soreness.
There's no timetable on his return and not much information available, but it's starting to feel like he could miss the entire week. If you're in a daily league, think about dropping him if there's a free agent available who can help your team.

Mon Jan 17 201114:44Linas Kleiza (knee) sidelined on Monday
Raptors SF Linas Kleiza is out on Monday due to a sore right knee.
Julian Wright will start in his place. Kleiza also can't shake a sore Achilles and this rest should do him a world of good -- it shouldn't hurt fantasy owners much either, as his recent play left much to be desired. We're calling him questionable for Wednesday's road game vs. the Spurs.

Mon Jan 17 201110:17Linas Kleiza still battling physical problems
Linas Kleiza might be battling more physical problems than the Raptors are letting on, according to beat writer Doug Smith.
Kleiza's "knees are sore and his Achilles still gives him a bit of a problem," which helps explain his lackluster play of late.

Fri Jan 7 201122:43Kleiza with signs of life for Raptors
Linas Kleiza bounced back from a pair of terrible games for 17 points, six rebounds, a block and two 3-pointers on 7-of-13 shooting.
Maybe he was just in a mini-slump, but it's nice to see that he got enough minutes to be productive in a blowout loss to the Celtics.
Wed Jan 5 201122:35Kleiza disappears again vs. Cavaliers
Linas Kleiza hit just 1-of-4 shots for three points, two rebounds and two assists in 21 minutes of Wednesday's win over the Cavs.
He's been a complete bust this week with the return of Andrea Bargnani, which is highly disappointing. He was in many lineups due to four games this week, but only has two more chances to save face. Drop him if you want, but don't be surprised if he bounces back soon. As long as he's starting, there's always a chance he'll play well, and he was hot before this week's pair of duds.
Wed Jan 5 201102:09Kleiza slows down with Bargs back
Linas Kleiza scored just eight points on 4-of-10 shooting (no threes) with four rebounds, one assist, and one steal in 28 minutes of action.
Andrea Bargnani's return from a four-game stretch had us worried a bit, but this is a bit more of a fall-off than we expected. Should this continue for another game, it won't matter if Sonny Weems' back injury is serious or not.
Sun Jan 2 201121:00Linas Kleiza struggles in Sunday's loss
Linas Kleiza struggled in Sunday's loss to Boston, shooting 3-of-12 from the field for seven points, nine rebounds, two assists, and one steal.
Kleiza had scored 16+ points in six consecutive games and this offensive dud is the exception to the rule. He hits threes and typically rebounds well, but rarely does much else -- and owners should be aware that his minutes will take a hit whenever Sonny Weems finally returns.
Fri Dec 31 201021:52Linas Kleiza double-doubles again for Raps
Linas Kleiza started again and double-doubled again for the Raptors on Friday, this time finishing with 17 points, 12 rebounds, two steals and a block.
Yeah, he hit just 7-of-21 shots and 1-of-8 3-pointers, but has scored at least 16 points in six straight games, double-doubling in three of those. Yes, Sonny Weems will hurt him when he returns from a back injury, but at this point Kleiza is worth owning in almost all formats.
Wed Dec 29 201002:42Kleiza scores 16 points before ejection
Linas Kleiza scored 16 points on 7-of-14 shooting (including two threes) with one rebound and one assist before getting ejected for two quick "respect of the game" technical fouls during the middle of the third quarter.
It's doubtful he will receive a suspension for his acts, and with Sonny Weems' back injury a complete mystery, owners should tentatively be planning on starting Kleiza in the Raps' next game on Friday.
Mon Dec 27 201023:14Kleiza scores 22 points vs. Grizzlies
Linas Kleiza scored 22 points on 10-of-16 shooting (including two threes) with four rebounds, one assist, five turnovers, and one block on Monday.
Sonny Weems (back) has no timetable for his return, and even if he was returning, Kleiza has been playing very well and it would be surprising to see him rejoin the starting lineup. A time-share could be in order, but we think Kleiza should be owned in most leagues for the chance he can hold off a far-from-healthy Weems for some time.
Wed Dec 22 201022:29Kleiza rolling, starting for Raptors
Linas Kleiza hit 7-of-11 shots and a 3-pointer for 19 points, five rebounds, two assists and a steal in Wednesday's blowout loss to the Raptors.
Kleiza has killed it in three straight games, all starts for injured Sonny Weems, who is out with a back injury. These are the type of lines we were expecting from Kleiza this season, and while we think he's worth picking up, there's no guarantee he will keep the job when Weems is back.
Sun Dec 19 201017:32Kleiza goes for 26 & 10 in another start
Linas Kleiza got another start for injured Sonny Weems on Sunday and responded with 26 points and 10 rebounds, both tying his season high.
He also hit four 3-pointers and it's very possible he will keep the job that Weems stole from him earlier this season. He's not a must-own player, but can be picked up if you want to take a flier. Just beware that the Raptors have just one game next week.
