Wed Apr 18 201218:22Linas Kleiza (knee) won't play Wednesday
Reversing a previous report, Linas Kleiza (knee) will not play on Wednesday.
Kleiza's knee may have responded poorly to shootaround or pre-game warmpus, but either way he's been too inconsistent for use in average leagues.

Wed Apr 18 201212:29Linas Kleiza expected to play on Wednesday
Linas Kleiza (knee) will play on Wednesday against the Heat.
Kleiza is a bigger headache than he's worth. Knee woes have plagued him all year, and Kleiza's role in the rotation is inconsistent at best. With 14 games on Wednesday night, owners can do better if searching for a spot-start.

Mon Apr 16 201218:21Linas Kleiza out Monday with sore knee
Linas Kleiza (knee) will not play in Monday's game against the Hawks.
Kleiza struggled through 26 minutes on Sunday and can't go on the back-to-back. It means more minutes for the likes of Alan Anderson and James Johnson.

Fri Apr 13 201222:30Linas Kleiza (knee) scores 17 points Friday
Linas Kleiza, who left Wednesday's game with a sore knee, returned to action on Friday and posted 17 points, eight rebounds and three 3s in 28 minutes of playing time.
Between his nagging injuries and lack of consistent playing time, Kleiza can't be counted on in most fantasy leagues, although tonight's production and minutes were good to see. We just don't think he will duplicate those numbers next time out.

Fri Apr 13 201211:34Linas Kleiza expected to play vs. Celtics
Linas Kleiza (knee) is expected to play on Friday against the Celtics.
Despite missing practice on Thursday and leaving Wednesday's game early, Kleiza should return to action on Friday. There's not much room for upside with Kleiza, who is clearly at less than 100 percent and hasn't topped 16 minutes in any of his last three games.

Thu Apr 12 201216:23Linas Kleiza misses practice
Linas Kleiza (knee) did not practice Thursday.
Kleiza is locked into a bench role and has been wildly inconsistent. Even with Andrea Bargnani (calf) out, there's no upside here with Kleiza at less than 100 percent.

Wed Apr 11 201221:07Kleiza (knee) leaves game, will not return
Linas Kleiza left Wednesday night's game with a sore right knee and will not return.
Kleiza scored five points in 13 minutes before departing. He has been banged up and inconsistent all season long, and owners who recently added him after he scored 18 points on Monday should begin looking for other options.

Sat Apr 7 201210:06Linas Kleiza dealing w/ sore Achilles
Linas Kleiza has been bothered by a sore Achilles.
Kleiza is averaging 9.6 points, 1.2 threes and 3.9 rebounds this season, but he's shooting a career-low 40.9 percent from the field. Whether his struggles are due to the Achilles, fatigue or another matter, he's not providing fantasy value.

Fri Apr 6 201223:44Kleiza scores eight points with eight boards
Linas Kleiza scored eight points on 2-of-9 shooting (including a three) with eight rebounds, one assist, and one block in 28 minutes off the bench on Friday.
If Kleiza hits a few more shots we're looking at this line in a totally different way, but regardless he's a borderline play at best heading into the Raptors' upcoming four-game week. It won't help if James Johnson returns from whatever he did to upset Dwane Casey, as well.

Sun Apr 1 201221:23Linas Kleiza plays just seven minutes vs. Wiz
Linas Kleiza had two points and zero rebounds in seven minutes on Sunday, his lowest playing time in any game this season.
The Raptors have developed an ardent 'Tank Nation' (encouraging the team to lose as many games as possible and thus get higher odds in the draft lottery) and despite tonight's victory it seems the wheels will come off sooner or later. Kleiza was marginalized by Gary Forbes (nine points in 24 minutes) and even little-known Alan Anderson (nine points in 12 minutes).

Fri Mar 30 201223:22Kleiza sputters in start against the Heat
Linas Kleiza sputtered against the Heat on Friday, scoring four points on 1-of-5 shooting with three rebounds and one assist in a start for James Johnson (illness).
Kleiza runs hot and cold, and unfortunately it has been more of the latter than the former lately. He belongs on the wire in most cases, unless he holds the starting job and owners are taking a flier on a spot-starter.

Thu Mar 29 201201:06Linas Kleiza hits three more 3-pointers
Linas Kleiza started in place of James Johnson (upper respiratory infection) and had 15 points, three rebounds, two assists, a block and three 3-pointers on 4-of-12 shooting.
The shooting line stinks, but he's been putting up solid numbers for several games now, and with Johnson ill and Jerryd Bayless out for the season, could be a sneaky add for the rest of the season. He's averaging 16.5 points and three 3-pointers over his last two games.

Tue Mar 27 201200:39Linas Kleiza has 18 points Monday
Linas Kleiza had 18 points and three 3-pointers in 33 minutes Monday.
With DeMar DeRozan (ankle) out, Jerryd Bayless (hip) sustaining an in-game aggravation and James Johnson playing through the flu, Kleiza had plenty of room to breathe. He still only got 10 shots up even though the majority of the second half was garbage time. Kleiza needs this trio to be hobbled again to be worth a spot-start.

Sat Mar 24 201201:01Kleiza scores five points in 15 minutes
Linas Kleiza scored five points in 15 minutes off the bench on Friday.
Kleiza had five points and eight boards on Wednesday, but couldn't keep the momentum going tonight. If he gets hot again we'll let you know.

Wed Mar 21 201222:19Kleiza continues to flirt with value
Linas Kleiza had five points and eight rebounds on 2-of-9 shooting in 20 minutes on Wednesday.
He's still not worth owning in most leagues, but is worth keeping an eye on. If he can get hot and earn some more burn from Dwane Casey, Kleiza could offer some sneaky late-season value.

Sat Mar 17 201221:56Kleiza, Forbes solid off Raptors' bench
Linas Kleiza reached double-figures with 13 points in Sunday's game, adding one rebound and one steal in 27 minutes.
Gary Forbes chipped in nine points in 27 minutes off the bench. Dwane Casey made a concentrated effort to spread minutes around more evenly in the second game of a back-to-back set, so we're not getting excited about either guy. More minutes should be open due to Leandro Barbosa's departure, but Casey's rotations are up-and-down, and Jose Calderon's return will once again pinch minutes for all involved.

Wed Mar 14 201201:04Kleiza scores seven points on Tuesday
Linas Kleiza scored seven points in 19 minutes off the bench on Tuesday, hitting 3-of-8 shots (including a three) with three rebounds and two assists in 19 minutes.
Kleiza is cold right now but give him a look after his next big night. He tends to string together a few good games in a row before going cold.

Sat Mar 10 201222:15Linas Kleiza scoreless in blowout loss
Linas Kleiza was scoreless in 23 minutes vs. the Pistons, shooting 0-of-4 from the field with two assists and one steal.
Kleiza runs incredibly hot and cold, and with Andrea Bargnani back the Raptors simply have too many mouths to feed on offense.

Tue Mar 6 201208:44Dwane Casey says something 'off' with Kleiza
Dwane Casey said that something seemed "off" with Linas Kleiza after Monday's loss to Orlando.
Kleiza played just 12 minutes and had two points, and there are some rumblings that his knee could once again be acting up. An ultimate plug and play guy when he's hot, Kleiza's constant knee woes have been an issue all season. It makes sense to drop him for a free agent who is rolling.

Tue Mar 6 201200:36Kleiza plays 12 minutes in loss to Magic
Linas Kleiza played just 12 minutes on Monday against the Magic, scoring two points on 1-of-6 shooting with one rebound and one steal.
We don't know if his knee is bothering him or if this is Dwane Casey pulling the rug out from underneath him, but the already shaky fantasy asset is worth dropping for a hot free agent right now. Kleiza profiles as a guy to plug in lineups when he's hot and owners are in a pinch.
