Fri Mar 2 201222:45Kleiza keeps it rolling with 12 points vs MEM
Linas Kleiza scored 12 points on 4-of-8 shooting (including two threes) with seven rebounds in 27 minutes off the bench on Friday.
Klieza hit five threes en route to 21 points on Wednesday, and has proven to be a capable scorer and fantasy producer when healthy. He's certainly worth owning in 12-team formats right now, but owners should plan for Kleiza to take maintenance days off for his knee.

Wed Feb 29 201223:15Kleiza drills five 3s, scores 21 points
Linas Kleiza caught fire on Wednesday, scoring 21 points (including five 3s), and also added four rebounds and a steal as the Raptors downed the Hornets.
Kleiza was hot earlier this month before suffering a knee injury, but he looks healthy again. He makes for a good pickup, especially if owners are in need of 3-pointers. Just don't fall in love with him, as he can become a victim of coach Dwane Casey's unpredictable rotations at any time.

Tue Feb 28 201212:40Linas Kleiza (knee) set to return on Tuesday
Linas Kleiza (knee) will play on Tuesday against the Rockets.
Kleiza was previously expected to play and this confirms that report. Give him a look if you're looking for points and three-pointers, but he's far from certain to hold up through the entire season. Kleiza had scored 15 points in back-to-back games before being forced to sit out three straight before the All-Star break.

Mon Feb 27 201222:02Kleiza (knee) to play on Tuesday vs. HOU
Linas Kleiza (knee) practiced on Monday and is expected to play on Tuesday against the Rockets, though it's not a foregone conclusion.
Kleiza will be evaluated but owners can be cautiously optimistic that he will play. When healthy he has been a worthy fantasy performer, so give him a look if he has fallen to your league's waiver wire. Owners should plan on Kleiza taking days off to maintain his knee until he proves he doesn't need them.

Mon Feb 27 201215:00Linas Kleiza traveling with Raptors
Linas Kleiza (knee) is traveling with the Raptors for their upcoming two-game road trip.
Kleiza is going to test out his knee in Monday night's practice before a decision is made on his status for Tuesday's game against the Rockets. But the fact that he's with the team for this mini-trip means his ailment is not serious. Kleiza's minutes going forward will be unpredictable, especially with Andrea Bargnani (calf) close to a return.

Wed Feb 22 201218:02Kleiza (knee) remains sidelined Wednesday
Linas Kleiza (knee) won't play on Wednesday.

Tue Feb 21 201213:44Linas Kleiza questionable for Wednesday
Linas Kleiza (knee) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Pistons.
Kleiza was tentatively expected to return, so the fact that he's questionable indicates that his knee may not be progressing as the team had hoped. He was limited to only shooting at practice on Tuesday and has missed the last two games. He's averaging 10.7 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.2 treys in 22 minutes per game this year.

Fri Feb 17 201211:24Linas Kleiza (knee) ruled out for Friday
Linas Kleiza (knee) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Bobcats.
Kleiza had played himself into a roster spot in most fantasy leagues with his strong play of late, but health has always been a question mark holding him back. With his knee acting up again, Leandro Barbosa or Rasual Butler could get extra run in his place.

Wed Feb 15 201218:10Linas Kleiza out Wed. with sore ankle/knee
Linas Kleiza will not play vs. the Spurs on Wednesday due to a sore left ankle and knee.
Kleiza is coming off a double-double on Tuesday (15 points, 11 rebounds) and his absence is sudden and unexpected. James Johnson figures to pick up the most playing time in his absence, though the Raptors' rotations are anything but predictable.

Tue Feb 14 201222:21Linas Kleiza double-doubles off bench
Linas Kleiza came off the bench for 15 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, two steals and a 3-pointer on 6-of-13 shooting against the Knicks.
Kleiza is averaging nearly 16 points, five rebounds, a steal and two 3-pointers over his last five games, despite not starting. He's hot enough that he deserves a look in all fantasy leagues right now.

Sun Feb 12 201216:55Kleiza (15 points) bounces back
Linas Kleiza, who played on 16 minutes on Friday, scored 15 points on Sunday in 27 minutes of action.
Kleiza was solid, also chipping in four rebounds and three assists. It's a good sign that his minutes returned to the high-20's, but with coach Dwane Casey at the controls, we can't say with certainty whether or not that trend will continue. Owners should stick with him for now.

Fri Feb 10 201223:54Kleiza plays only 16 minutes, scores 9 points
Linas Kleiza, who had been red-hot as of late, received only 16 minutes on Friday night and scored nine points on three 3-pointers.
Kleiza played only four minutes in the first half, but was inserted late in the game as the Raptors closed out the Celtics. When he receives enough playing time, Kleiza is a capable scorer that can provide major value for owners. Those who added him recently would be wise to take a wait-and-see approach when it comes to his playing time, but tonight may be a sign of things to come when the Raptors get healthy.

Tue Feb 7 201201:21Kleiza, Bayless both score season-high 30 pts
Linas Kleiza scored a season-high 30 points on 11-of-16 shooting (4-of-8 from both 3-point distance and the foul line) with five rebounds, one assist, and two steals in 35 minutes off the bench on Monday.
Kleiza has been up-and-down since hitting the fantasy spotlight, but the good news is that the 'ups' can be quite good. He has been well-worth owning the past two weeks with mid-to-late round value, averaging 14.5 points, 2.0 threes, 5.0 rebounds, and 0.9 steals per game in just 25 minutes, but has had knee issues and been jerked around by Dwane Casey, too. We can't imagine letting Kleiza sit on the wire after this effort, but there are a few reasons to be concerned long-term. Jerryd Bayless also scored 30 points in the loss.

Sat Feb 4 201200:57Kleiza (knee) scores 15 points after absence
Linas Kleiza (knee) returned from a one-game absence and scored 15 points on 6-of-8 shooting (3-of-3 from downtown) with three rebounds and one assist in 18 minutes off the bench on Friday.
This is undoubtedly a good sign for his overall value, but let's keep in mind that this came against the Wizards and that he has the same obstacles to fantasy value going forward. Crowding at the wing positions, Dwane Casey's increasingly erratic substitution patterns, and Kleiza's knee are all red flags. That said, he's still worth fantasy consideration in 12-14 team leagues.

Wed Feb 1 201219:01Linas Kleiza (knee) out Wed. w/ sore knee
Linas Kleiza won't play on Wednesday due to a sore right knee.
The Raptors are playing the second of a back-to-back set and simply want to rest Kleiza and monitor his playing time, as he returned recently from knee surgery. His absence means more minutes for Rasual Butler and James Johnson.

Tue Jan 31 201222:05Linas Kleiza struggles in 21 minutes
Linas Kleiza hit just 2-of-9 shots for seven points and one 3-pointer in 21 minutes on Tuesday.
He's been hit or miss since blowing up for 25 points last Wednesday, as Dwane Casey continues to try to figure out his starting lineup and rotation without Andrea Bargnani. Kleiza's too inconsistent to be relied upon right now, but he is capable of turning it on at any time.

Sun Jan 29 201221:30Linas Kleiza scores 15 off Raptors bench
Linas Kleiza came off the bench for 15 points, three rebounds, a steal and a 3-pointer on 5-of-11 shooting in 27 minutes on Sunday.
He's scored 25, 2 and 15 points in his last three games, but didn't get a boost from a recent lineup shakeup in Toronto. It appears he'll still get plenty of run with Andrea Bargnani sidelined indefinitely, but Jerryd Bayless looks like the better player to own after starting at shooting guard tonight.

Sat Jan 28 201202:41Kleiza disappoints after big night on Wed
Linas Kleiza disappointed owners that added him following a season-high 25 points on Wednesday, scoring just two points on 1-of-7 shooting with eight rebounds, four assists, and a steal in 25 minutes on Friday.
The peripheral stats are nice, but Kleiza needs to play well to continue to start and in a crowded rotation that could be the difference between being owned and being on the wire. If you added him it's time to hold because he was around the ball a lot, and he's worth a look in 12-team leagues, still. We just view him as one of the riskier waiver wire adds right now.
