Thu Feb 23 201201:17Ronnie Brewer scores 15 in another start
Ronnie Brewer had 15 points in Wednesday's win over the Bucks.
He's starting at shooting guard in place of Rip Hamilton, who has now missed 11 straight games with a groin injury. He's scored 15 and 13 points in his last two, but was struggling previously. He's worth a deep-league look for as long as Hamilton is out, but you have to think Hamilton will be close to returning shortly after the All-Star break.

Sat Feb 18 201219:03Ronnie Brewer invisible again in Bulls' loss
Ronnie Brewer was invisible in Saturday's loss to the lowly Nets, scoring just five points in 28 minutes, with one rebound, one assist, zero steals and two turnovers.
Brewer is basically a steals specialist even with the starting job in hand, and things will get worse once Rip Hamilton is healthy. The Bulls' starters were conspicuously outplayed on Sunday, and as a unit they shot just 17-of-43 from the field.

Fri Feb 17 201200:23Brewer fails to score on Thursday vs. BOS
Ronnie Brewer went hitless on three shot attempts on Thursday, scoring zero points with one rebound, one assist, and one block in 20 minutes.
Brewer has scored in double figures just once in February, and after a brief run of some big nights he has lost his fantasy value. With Richard Hamilton (groin, leg) set to return at some point, it's time to drop Brewer if you're relying on him in super deep formats.

Tue Feb 7 201201:59Brewer starts for Richard Hamilton again
Ronnie Brewer started for injured Richard Hamilton (groin, leg, personal) in Monday's win over the Nets, scoring 12 points on 5-of-11 shooting (including two threes) with one rebound and one assist in 25 minutes.
The minutes were down due to the blowout win, and Brewer will continue to be worth a look while Hamilton is out. Hamilton is currently questionable for Wednesday's game against the Hornets.

Fri Feb 3 201200:03Brewer slowing down against elite forwards
Ronnie Brewer scored just six points on 2-of-3 shooting with three rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one block in 28 minutes on Thursday against the Knicks.
Brewer has slowed down recently and a string of small forward assignments in LeBron James, Andre Iguodala, and Carmelo Anthony tonight might be at the root of it. Things lighten up against the Bucks and Nets, so don't be surprised if he picks it up if Luol Deng (wrist) stays out.

Mon Jan 30 201223:12Brewer hits just 2-of-10 shots with Deng out
Ronnie Brewer started for injured Luol Deng (wrist) and hit just 2-of-10 shots from the field on Monday against the Wizards, scoring six points with six rebounds and two steals in 39 minutes.
Brewer has averaged just over 11 shot attempts per game in his last five outings with Deng out, hitting only four of them per game. Still, he has been providing good value averaging 11 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 1.6 steals per game over that span, and should be ridden until Deng returns.

Thu Jan 26 201200:18Ronnie Brewer with big night in loss to Indy
Ronnie Brewer made another start for Luol Deng on Wednesday and torched the Pacers for 20 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and three steals on 8-of-15 shooting.
News broke earlier on Wednesday that Deng plans on playing Sunday, which could really stifle Brewer's value. Additionally, Rip Hamilton looks like a better add than Brewer, who has yet to prove he can do this consistently.

Tue Jan 24 201203:53Brewer starts for injured Deng (wrist)
Ronnie Brewer started for injured Luol Deng (wrist) on Monday, scoring 11 points on 4-of-10 shooting (including a three) with five rebounds and a block in 27 minutes.
If he can continue this level of production it will be considered a win, though we know to expect more steals. If you need a wing player for your fantasy squad give him a look, but we need to see consistency before making him a recommended add in 12-team formats.

Mon Jan 23 201213:10Ronnie Brewer to start at SF?
Beat writer K.C. Johnson expects Ronnie Brewer to start at small forward in place of Luol Deng (wrist).
Deng's wrist injury was serious enough that he needed an MRI and was at the doctor Monday. Brewer could be looking at a fistful of consecutive starts. The defensive stopper started 10 games at shooting guard earlier this season, averaging 7.7 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game. Brewer's offensive skills are capped and he'll share minutes with Kyle Korver.

Sat Jan 21 201223:25Ronnie Brewer scoreless off Bulls' bench
Ronnie Brewer was scoreless on Saturday for the first time this season, as he missed all three of his shots attempts in 16 minutes off the bench.
Brewer played well as a fill-in starter while Rip Hamilton was out, but Rip is back and Kyle Korver (two points, 23 minutes) seems to be ahead of Brewer in the rotation. Cut him, if you haven't already.

Sat Jan 14 201200:10Ronnie Brewer posts another decent line
Ronnie Brewer got another start for Richard Hamilton (groin) on Friday, scoring 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting with four rebounds, four assists, and three steals in 37 minutes.
It appears Hamilton's injury is dragging on and on, with Tom Thibodeau even saying that C.J. Watson (elbow) was closer than Hamilton to returning. After a string of useable fantasy performances, Brewer deserves some spot-starting consideration now while Hamilton is out.

Wed Jan 11 201200:35Ronnie Brewer scores 17 in Bulls win
Ronnie Brewer tied a season high with 17 points to go along with four rebounds, three assists, a steal and a 3-pointer on 5-of-10 shooting Tuesday.
He's scored in double figures in just four of his 11 games this season and will take a hit when Rip Hamilton is back from a groin injury. Leave Brewer on waivers for now.

Tue Jan 10 201203:43Brewer starts for Hamilton on Monday
Ronnie Brewer started for injured Richard Hamilton (groin) on Monday, scoring 12 points on 6-of-9 shooting with two rebounds and four assists in 27 minutes.
When Rip gets back Brewer's minutes will be cut significantly, and considering this is already a high-water mark there's nothing to see here. Brewer is not a recommended spot-start if Hamilton misses more time.

Sun Jan 1 201222:29Ronnie Brewer excels in spot start for Bulls
Starting in place of injured Rip Hamilton (groin), Ronnie Brewer had 17 points, seven rebounds, five assists and two steals in 35 minutes on Sunday.
Brewer made 6-of-10 FGs, including a 3-pointer, and you're looking at his ceiling. His fantasy usefulness is typically limited to steals, and with Rip Hamilton presumably day-to-day there's no reason to drop anyone to pick up Brewer.

Fri Dec 2 201116:54Ronnie Brewer hopes to land starting SG job
Ronnie Brewer is comfortable in a bench role with the Bulls, but he hopes to fight for the starting SG job.
Keith Bogans started every regular season and playoff game for Chicago last year, and they have made no secret of their desire to upgrade at SG. Brewer isn't likely to land the starting gig and his fantasy value is limited as a bench option.

Sat Apr 16 201116:47Brewer (thumb) returns to action
Ronnie Brewer (thumb) returned to action in Game 1 against the Pacers on Saturday, playing 16 minutes on his way to two points on 1-of-3 shooting with three rebounds, one assist, and two steals.
As sad as it is, owners shouldn't expect much more out of him than this, which needless to say puts him on the sidelines in most playoff formats.

Thu Apr 14 201117:55Brewer cleared for Game 1
Ronnie Brewer (sprained thumb) has been cleared to play in Game 1 against the Pacers Saturday.
No surprise here. Brewer attempts just 5.3 shots per game anyway, serving as the Bulls' defensive stopper off the bench.

Thu Apr 14 201110:05Ronnie Brewer expected to be fine
The Bulls expect Ronnie Brewer (sprained thumb) to be ready for Game 1 against the Pacers.
Brewer had an MRI and saw a hand specialist, both of which revealed no significant injury. He'll tape up his thumb and get out there as a defensive stopper. Brewer played in 81 games this season, starting just one and averaging 22.0 minutes per game.

Wed Apr 13 201116:25Bulls' Brewer won't play Wednesday
Ronnie Brewer (sprained thumb) won't play in Wednesday's game.
Brewer has already his intentions to be back for Game 1 of the playoffs, saying that "If it's still attached, I'm going to try to be out there."

Wed Apr 13 201110:59Brewer will meet with specialists
Ronnie Brewer will meet with a hand specialist Wednesday after spraining his left thumb Tuesday night.
Brewer is officially questionable for tonight, but it would be a shock if he played. He guaranteed that he'll be ready for Game 1 of the playoffs, though. "If it's still attached, I'm going to try to be out there," Brewer said. Keith Bogans and Kyle Korver will get some extra burn.
