Tue Apr 12 201121:10Ronnie Brewer leaves with thumb injury
Ronnie Brewer left Tuesday's game during the second quarter with a sprained left thumb, finishing with no points, two rebounds, and one assist in 8.5 minutes.
He has not been a fantasy option all year, and while Keith Bogans and Kyle Korver will absorb his minutes, neither are recommended options unless you're looking for some threes. Even then, they're desperation plays.

Thu Feb 24 201123:23Ronnie Brewer gets four more steals
Ronnie Brewer continued his role as a one-trick wonder Thursday, only scoring eight points but recording four steals.
He has seven steals in the last two games, which is amazing since he plays about 20 minutes per. He will be an excellent source of steals the rest of the way, but he just doesn't play enough to be useful outside of an emergency need for steals.
Wed Feb 16 201116:16Bulls' Brewer practices with taped wrist
Ronnie Brewer had a taped wrist following Wednesday's practice.
No word if the tape is on Brewer's shooting wrist or not, but this could help explain why Brewer's already sub par scoring has dropped to just 5.0 points per game so far this month.

Wed Jan 12 201112:12Bogans not giving up starting gig
Coach Tom Thibodeau reiterated Tuesday that he likes Ronnie Brewer coming off the bench.
There have been some rumblings lately that Brewer would get the nod ahead of Keith Bogans, but it's not happening. For now these two are canceling each other out as neither one is a good bet to play more than 25 minutes nightly. The Bulls also reportedly remain in the market for a scoring two-guard.

Sun Dec 26 201020:59Brewer, Bogans struggling for Bulls
Ronnie Brewer and Keith Bogans combined for 14 points, two rebounds, zero assists, and zero steals in 47 minutes on Sunday.
If you're wondering why the Bulls are in the market for another shooting guard, look no further.
Sun Dec 26 201009:34Bulls actively looking for another SG
The Bulls are reportedly one of the "most active" teams in trade talks, as they continue to look for a shooting guard.
Keith Bogans and Ronnie Brewer aren't quite getting the job done, and the Bulls have long had their eye on (for instance) J.J. Redick. There has also been chatter about J.R. Smith being on the block, but one way or another the Bulls are likely to soon have a new SG.

Sun Nov 28 201002:35Brewer nears double-double vs. Kings
Ronnie Brewer scored eight points on 4-of-9 shooting with 10 rebounds, three assists, and a steal in 34 minutes off the bench on Saturday.
He's getting his minutes now, and if you're in a deep league and looking for low-end production with a bump in steals -- this might be the warning shot he gives before consistently producing. In standard leagues, however, he should just be watched.
Wed Nov 24 201001:30Brewer plays 27 minutes vs. Lakers
Ronnie Brewer played 27 minutes off the bench on Tuesday, scoring six points on 1-of-4 shooting with three rebounds, no assists, and no steals or blocks.
Keith Bogans got into some early foul trouble covering Kobe Bryant, but make no mistake Brewer is starting to get healthy and could be ready to start making some noise, even if the numbers aren't there right now. He's not worth an add in deeper formats, but should be watched at this time.
Sun Nov 14 201002:55Brewer plays 18 minutes on Saturday
Ronnie Brewer played 18 minutes on Saturday as he looks to get back on track after a hamstring injury cost him his projected starting spot.
He scored seven points on 3-of-4 shooting with four rebounds, two assists, two steals, and a block, so he's being active in his time on the floor. Once he starts getting close to 25 minutes per night, deep leaguers need to take notice.
Tue Nov 9 201010:12Coach confirms Brewer is sixth man
Coach Tom Thibodeau confirmed that Ronnie Brewer has seized James Johnson's spot in the rotation.
Brewer was the sixth man on Monday night and ended up playing 17 minutes. James Johnson recorded a DNP-CD. "Ronnie is playing better so he will be getting more minutes," Thibodeau said. We'd wait to see if Brewer really starts getting 25+ minutes a night before adding him.

Tue Nov 9 201002:24Brewer the first reserve off the bench on Mon
Ronnie Brewer, whose balky hamstring has kept him from assuming the starting SG job he was projected to win, was the first reserve off the bench in both halves of Monday's game, and finished with seven points on 2-of-3 shooting with five rebounds, two assists, and one steal in 17 minutes.
Those in deep leagues should be keeping close tabs on him right now, as there's no reason he can't eclipse the 25-minute mark for the Bulls. When he's at optimal production, he can be a low-end producer and steals specialist.

Sat Oct 30 201023:25Brewer plays just six minutes on Saturday
Ronnie Brewer (hamstring) played just six minutes on Saturday, scoring two points to go with one rebound and one assist.
His upside is pretty much non-existent, so owners should not be waiting around for him to get it together. Drop him if you haven't already.
Thu Oct 28 201022:36Brewer still struggling with his lift
Ronnie Brewer, who went 0-for-6 in Wednesday's game against the Pistons, was not able to get as much lift as he usually gets and his timing was clearly off.
"As an NBA player, you just have to work," Brewer said. "I want to extend my range and get back to playing with my athleticism. If I do that, I'll be on the court for a good amount of time." He will improve with time, but if you see a hot pickup on the wire don't hesitate to make the move.

Mon Oct 25 201016:19Bulls' Brewer benched, but healthy
Ronnie Brewer (hamstring) is relatively healthy and will come off the bench for the Bulls this season.
He'll back up Keith Bogans to start the season, but could end up taking over the job at some point. Neither player is a must-own in fantasy.

Wed Oct 20 201022:27Brewer comes off the bench for 24 minutes
Ronnie Brewer, who is coming off a hamstring injury and competing for a starting job with SG Keith Bogans, came off the bench for 24 minutes and totaled just five points on 2-of-5 shooting with two assists.
It's a bit disappointing that Brewer hasn't shown us something heading into drafts, but keep in mind that he did just come off a hamstring injury and he is favored to get the lion's share of minutes of Bogans whether he starts or not. He should be looked at in the last round of your draft.
Tue Oct 19 201010:53Starting SG spot still up for grabs in Chi.
Coach Tom Thibodeau confirmed that his starting shooting guard spot is still up for grabs between Ronnie Brewer and Keith Bogans.
Bogans has started every game in the preseason and gone 9-for-17 from beyond the arc. Brewer, who is still working his way back from a hamstring strain, has made just 2-of-15 shots. Regardless of who ends up starting, we still think Brewer will get more minutes as the better defender and eventually get locked into the starting five. He's the better late-round fantasy pick.

Tue Oct 19 201008:09Brewer may not win starting SG job for CHI
Bulls beat writer K.C. Johnson told his readers Monday not to be surprised if Keith Bogans starts over Ronnie Brewer for the season opener on Oct. 27.
"I don't know if Ronnie will be better with the starters or bench guys," said coach Tom Thibodeau, who added that his hamstring issue has kept him from getting up to speed in his new digs. Nevertheless, minus an implosion, Brewer figures to get the lion's share of minutes eventually, so owners shouldn't go overboard dropping him on draft boards.

Sat Oct 16 201022:56Brewer plays 20 minutes in back-to-back
Ronnie Brewer played 20 minutes in the second game of a back-to-back on Saturday, and finished with seven points on 1-of-6 shooting with one rebound, no assists, two steals, and a block.
He played 10 minutes on Tuesday and then 14 minutes on Friday, echoing Tom Thibodeau's comments that he's not afraid to play him on consecutive nights. He's all but guaranteed to be ready for the start of the year, and owners should draft him as if he's starting -- because he likely will.
Thu Oct 14 201020:19Brewer feels good after 10 minutes on Tue
Ronnie Brewer, who has been dealing with a hamstring injury, reported no discomfort after playing 10 minutes in his Bulls debut on Tuesday.
"Each day, we're just gonna see how he's doing," said coach Tim Thibodeau. "He practiced well today, he's not having any discomfort, so we'll increase his workload each day." He's in a battle with Keith Bogans to start at shooting guard, but he should be able to win the job if healthy.

Wed Oct 13 201001:08Brewer makes Bulls debut
Ronnie Brewer made his Bulls debut on Tuesday night, playing nearly 10 minutes off the bench and scoring four points.
Brewer is working his way back from a hamstring injury and will continue coming off the bench in relief of Keith Bogans until he gets back up to speed.
