Anderson scored 20 points (7-14 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 3-3 FT), with five rebounds in 30 minutes during Tuesday's loss to the Kings.
Anderson played big minutes and got plenty of shots up. He's been pretty inconsistent to this point, so it's hard to rely on him for fantasy production right now.

Anderson scored 22 points (9-17 FG, 4-12 3Pt), with four rebounds, one steal and one block in 32 minutes during Tuesday's win over the Kings.
Anderson saw additional minutes due to Omer Asik (back) being out, and he took advantage. The sharpshooting big man had an impressive night, but his fantasy value almost always directly relates to how many minutes he's able to get. If Asik misses another game, Anderson makes a great plug-and-play option.

Anderson scored 17 points (7-12 FG, 3-7 3Pt), with eight rebounds in just 20 minutes during Wednesday's win over the Lakers.
We know what Anderson is capable of if he gets the minutes, and he showed that on Wednesday. He can hit three's and also rack up rebounds as well. Temper your expectations, but if he starts to get minutes then he could turn into an intriguing fantasy option.

Anderson scored 32 points (11-19 FG, 8-12 3Pt, 2-2 FT) to go along with five rebounds, three assists and one steal in 34 minutes Monday against the Cavaliers.
Anderson had been very average up until Monday's game this season, but he also hadn't played more than 29 minutes in any game. He is coming off the bench behind Omer Asik, so there may be nights where he just doesn't get enough playing time to be a huge contributor. Even when he sees limited minutes though, his ability to shoot from behind the arc makes him a valuable fantasy option.

Anderson shot just 2-for-14 en route to seven points in Monday night's loss to the Memphis Grizzlies.
After a 22-point season debut, Anderson's shot has abandoned him in his last two games. Against Memphis and Dallas, Anderson has made just one of his nine 3-point attempts and has hit only 28.0 percent from the floor overall. The big man's shot should return soon, but things have been tough for him in the early going.

Anderson logged his first minutes at the small forward spot this preseason during Monday's game against the Wizards.
The Pelicans have been unenthused with their small forward options since letting Al-Farouq Aminu walk this offseason. With Darius Miller, John Salmons and Luke Babbitt failing to impress, Anderson and guard Tyreke Evans could see the majority of the minutes at the three. While its premature to assume Anderson logs heavy minutes at small forward, any minutes there should ensure all of Anderson, Anthony Davis and Omer Asik get some extra burn.
Fri Oct 10 201414:53Anderson said he's capable of playing some small forward
Anderson said he's capable of playing some small forward, and practiced at the three Friday, NBA.com's Jim Eichenhofer reports.
Anderson was already going to see plenty of minutes despite sharing the frontcourt with Omer Asik and Anthony Davis. But if the Pelicans start using a big lineup with Anderson at the three, that will only increase his fantasy value.

Anderson played 14 minutes in Saturday night's preseason opener against the Heat, scoring 12 points (4-9 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT) to go with two rebounds.
Anderson missed 60 games last season amid injuries, including two herniated disks in his neck that ended his campaign in January. However, now 100 percent healthy, Anderson returned to the court Saturday and was very efficient from a scoring perspective. With a trio of three-pointers, Anderson once again displayed his value as one of the league's better players at the en vogue "stretch-four" position.
Wed Oct 1 201418:59Anderson under no medical restrictions
Anderson is under no medical restrictions, but he will be brought along slowly in camp and during the preseason, the Times-Picayune's John Reid reports. "I'm just glad he's out on the floor and he's happy," coach Monty Williams said. "You can tell he's got a different step about him this year. His mojo is in the right place."
He did agility drills, went through contact work and ran at full speed during Tuesday's practice, emerging without any issues. Given Anderson's clean bill of health, the more important issue surrounding the stretch four is how he will be used in the Pelicans' offense after the team acquired Omer Asik. Considering Anderson led the team in minutes per game (36.1) before he got hurt in 2013-14, it seems reasonable to expect Anderson , along with Anthony Davis, to lead the Pelicans' frontcourt in minutes, while Asik steps in as just a better version of Jason Smith, who saw 26.8 mpg last season. Given the (unnecessary) doubt surrounding Anderson's health and status on the team, he's an excellent bargain in fantasy leagues right now.
Thu Sep 4 201411:00Ryan Anderson: (Neck) Cleared for Contact
Anderson (neck) has been cleared for full contact, essentially making him 100-percent healthy going into the season.
Anderson announced that his doctors cleared him for full contact via his Instagram account Wednesday. He injured his neck in January and was forced to miss the remainder of the 2013-14 season after undergoing surgery to repair a herniated disc. Anderson should be considered healthy for all fantasy purposes, and the only thing that hurts his fantasy value at the moment is the potential impact the addition of Omer Asik might have on his minutes this season. In 22 games played last season, Anderson averaged 19.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, 0.8 assists, 0.5 steals, 0.3 blocks, and 3.0 three-pointers in 36 minutes per game. If the Pelicans are healthy, it's reasonable to think that his points and minutes played will go down this season, impacting his fantasy value.

Anderson is feeling "great" after missing the majority of the 2013-14 season with injury, the Times-Picayune reports.
Anderson suffered two herniated discs in his neck after a scary collision in Boston in early January. The injury limited him to just 22 games last year, butmuch like the rest of his teammatesthis season promises to be healthier for the sharp-shooting forward. With Omer Asik acquired to anchor the middle and Anthony Davis continuing to improve, the Pelicans should have a very formidable frontcourt.

Anderson (back) is recovering smoothly from a herniated disc and expects to be ready for training camp, NBA.com reports.
Anderson hasn't played since an on-court collision with Boston's Gerald Wallace ended his season in early January. He received clearance to return to the court last week but will be held out of full contact drills for a few more weeks. "I can do everything with the guys as far as shooting workouts, drills, weights and conditioning," Anderson said. "I just can't play five-on-five or (even) one-on-one basketball. My disc is fused, which is good, but if I take the risk of getting hit too soon, it just wouldn't be a good thing. I have a few more weeks, so training camp I'll be ready to go all out." Anderson played in only 22 games last season, averaging 19.8 points while hitting at a 40.9 percent clip from three-point range - both career-highs. Assuming he's back at full strength in 2014-15, Anderson should play a vital role for a Pelicans team that could contend for a playoff spot if they stay healthy.
Thu Jun 26 201419:15Pelicans looking to deal Ryan Anderson?
The Pelicans are shopping Ryan Anderson in a trade, according to Yahoo! Sports.
The Pelicans traded their 2014 first-round draft pick in the Jrue Holiday deal, so they would like to get in the mix tonight. Anderson played just 22 games last year, but made a whopping 3.0 treys per game. He is on schedule to return from his neck surgery and should be ready for training camp. The arrival of Omer Asik could also hurt Anderson's playing time, but he should bury plenty of treys no matter where he plays.

Thu Jun 19 201423:11Monty says Ryan Anderson is on target
Coach Monty Williams said Ryan Anderson is "on target" from his rehab and he is expected to be ready for training camp.
Dating back to April, Anderson's prognosis has him expected to resume basketball activities in August to October. He had spine surgery on Apr. 8 after suffering his back injury on Jan 3. He was knocking down 3.0 triples per game before injury and should start hit the ground running next season.

Fri Apr 11 201410:19Ryan Anderson out at least 4-6 months
Ryan Anderson (spine surgery) is expected to resume basketball activities in 4-6 months.
The Tuesday surgery on Anderson's cervical spine for a herniated disc was deemed a success. Given the timetable, it's possible that he'll be ready to return for the start of the 2014-15 season. It's an injury to monitor closely as Anderson is a candidate to lead the league in 3-pointers anytime he's getting 30+ minutes a night.

Tue Apr 8 201418:17Ryan Anderson has surgery on cervical disc
Ryan Anderson had surgery on Tuesday to repair a herniated cervical disc.
Anderson did all he could to avoid season-ending surgery, but in the end it proved unavoidable. He wrote that the surgery went "really well" and the Pelicans should provide a timetable for his recovery in the next few weeks. He was having a terrific season before the injury, pitching in 19.8 points per game with a whopping 3.0 three-pointers on 40.9 percent shooting from downtown.

Tue Mar 25 201414:47Ryan Anderson (neck) will require surgery
Ryan Anderson will have surgery to repair the herniated cervical disc which ended his 2013-14 season.
Anderson met with numerous specialists before determining that surgery is "the best opportunity to have a full recovery." He'll go under the knife next month, at which point a timetable should be available.

Tue Mar 11 201415:59Ryan Anderson (neck) still out indefinitely
Ryan Anderson is "talking to a number of doctors all over the country" about the herniated disc in his neck which ended his season after 19 games.
Anderson is done for the 2013-14 season and the lack of clarity about his rehab and recovery leaves open the possibility that he won't be ready for training camp, either. The Pelicans trainers are still working with him and we'll pass along any updates as they become available.

Mon Mar 3 201423:05Anderson's herniated discs aren't healing
Ryan Anderson said Monday that his herniated discs aren't healing and that he's still experiencing tingling in fingers.
Anderson will get a second opinion on Tuesday and at this point we can only hope that his long-term future isn't at risk. His season ended when the Pelicans received an injured player exception in February.

Wed Feb 19 201416:42Pelicans gets their player exception for Ryno
The Pelicans received their Disabled Player Exception valued at $4.15 million for Ryan Anderson on Wednesday.
This news ends Ryan Anderson's season and the team is certainly going to miss him after he was playing well. The Pelicans might not want to use this spot because helping their team win is probably not good for their future. Their 2014 first-round pick goes to the Sixers and is top-six protected, so it would behoove them to have one of the worst records in the NBA heading into a loaded 2014 NBA Draft.
