Anderson's 2014-15 campaign was interrupted by a sprained MCL in his right knee, but he was able to return to his bench role for the latter portion of the season. Anderson averaged 13.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, 0.9 assists, 0.5 steals, and 2.0 three-pointers in 28 minutes per game through 61 games.
Anderson missed over a month with his knee injury, and the injury came just one year after he underwent surgery on a herniated disk in his neck that forced him to sit out the majority of the 2013-14 season. With back-to-back injuries wearing on his fantasy value, the injury-prone label may get thrown at Anderson this offseason. In addition to his injuries sidelining him for 21 games, he shot a career-low 34 percent from beyond the arc this season, putting doubt in more than just his ability to stay healthy. If his three-pointers aren't falling, Anderson's fantasy value takes quite a hit, as he doesn't put up a stellar amount of rebounds or blocks for a power forward. Anderson has one more year on his contract with the Pelicans. He'll be an unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2016. Anderson will need to improve on his poor defensive performance and horrendous shooting percentage on the road (27% 3Pt) in order to have the fantasy value he has had in the past when healthy. One boon that has already come Anderson's way was the firing of coach Monty Williams, who insisted upon starting Anthony Davis at power forward. The hiring of new head coach Alvin Gentry, who plans to use Davis more at center, could lead to Anderson either starting at power forward next season or at least having a bigger role off the bench.

Anderson broke out of his playoff slump Thursday, scoring 26 points (10-14 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT) to go long with five rebounds and two assists in 30 minutes in Game 3.
Anderson had scored a combined seven points between the first two games of his series, including shooting 2-for-11 from the floor.

Anderson has been quiet in the postseason for the Pelicans, averaging just 3.5 points and 3.0 rebounds through the first two games.
Anderson has not only struggled when on the courtshooting 18.2 percent from the fieldbut has also struggled to find playing time. The big man played just nine minutes in Game 2 against the Warriors.
Wed Apr 8 201510:39Anderson played 31 minutes in Tuesday's win over Warriors
Anderson played 31 minutes in Tuesday's win over the Warriors. He finished with 12 points (5-15 FG, 2-7 3Pt), nine rebounds, two assists, and one block.
Anderson was playing in just his fourth game back from a right MCL sprain that kept him sidelined for over a month, and it was the first game he played big minutes in. In his first three games back, Anderson was averaging just 20 minutes per game. With bigger minutes comes better value in daily games.

Anderson (knee) returned to action Wednesday against the Lakers and posted 17 points (5-11 FG, 5-6 FT, 2-4 3Pt), three rebounds, and one assist in 22 minutes of action.
Anderson hadn't logged a game since Feb. 21, and it's encouraging to see him have a solid performance in his return. He's averaging 14.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.1 three-pointers made this season, and apparently will be "eased" back into the lineup. Still, much of his skillset relies on his three-point shot, which means his knee ailment shouldn't hamper his fantasy production too heavily. That being said, if for some reason he's still available in the wire, now would be a good time to snatch him.
Wed Apr 1 201514:26Anderson (knee) will return to action Wednesday against Lakers
Anderson (knee) will return to action Wednesday against the Lakers, Jen Hale of Fox Sports reports.
Coach Monty Williams said Anderson, who has been sidelined for more than a month, will be "eased" back into action, though he stated that Anderson will not be on an official minutes limit. The return of one of the better shooters in the league will certainly be welcomed, but he's best avoided in daily formats given his potentially limited workload.
Tue Mar 31 201513:49Ryan Anderson: (Knee) Questionable For Wednesday
Anderson (knee) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Lakers in Los Angeles.
Sidelined since the final week of February due to a sprained MCL in his right knee, Anderson appears close to fulfilling the return promised during the Pelicans' current three-game road trip. If he plays Wednesday, he'll likely be eased into action in a frontcourt that is otherwise without injury concerns at the moment.
Mon Mar 30 201513:43Ryan Anderson: (Knee) To Return During Road Trip
Anderson (knee) is expected to return at some point during the Pelicans' upcoming three-game road trip, John Reid of The Times-Picayune reports.
Anderson has been sidelined for over a month due to the knee issue, but appears finally ready to return to the floor. Following an extended absence, he'll likely be eased back into action, but with the Pelicans still battling for a playoff spot, his return could give them the boost needed to make a push.
Wed Mar 25 201512:12Ryan Anderson: (Knee) Out At Least Another Week
Anderson (knee) said he hopes to be able to return to action in a week, the New Orleans Advocate's Darrell J. Williams reports.
He got a custom-made brace Wednesday for his sprained right knee that provides more stability than the sleeve he had been using. Anderson says his lateral movement has improved, but he is still only about 80 percent healthy and has not been able to do explosive exercises. Considering the Pelicans are three and a half games out of the final playoff spot in the Western Conference with only 12 games to play, they could realistically be eliminated from playoff contention in the coming weeks, at which point the Pelicans would likely abandon any attempt to bring Anderson back this season.

Anderson (knee) has begun working out but is still without a firm timetable for a return to the court.
Anderson has been off the court since Feb. 21 as he continues to recover from a sprained MCL in his right knee. Further news should be released in due time but Anderson can still be considered out until that happens. In the meantime he'll continue to ramp up his basketball activities in the hope that he'll return before the regular season comes to an end.
Tue Mar 17 201512:02Anderson (knee) will remain out at least another week
Anderson (knee) will remain out at least another week, Darrell Williams of the New Orleans/Baton Rouge Advocate reports.
Anderson is making strides in his recovery and was recently fitted for a brace on his right knee. However, he told reporters Tuesday that he will not return during the team's upcoming three-game road swing, which begins Thursday in Phoenix and ends Sunday against the Clippers. That means the soonest Anderson could be back on the floor is next Wednesday when the Pelicans host the Rockets.

Anderson (knee) said Friday that he's making strides in his return from a right MCL sprain.
The forward is yet to return to basketball activities, but he's no longer wearing a knee brace and is currently focusing on strength and mobility exercises. "Recovery has been a process. I'm really working a lot on getting mobility back, just walking," Anderson said. "The past week, I've made big strides, as far as getting out of a big knee brace. My flexibility is a lot better, as far as rotation. I haven't tried anything on the court yet," Anderson said. The team said Anderson remains without a return date, but he was initially given a 2-to-4 week timetable. He'll remain out for the foreseeable future, at least until he returns to basketball activities.
Sun Feb 22 201515:42Ryan Anderson: (Knee) Out 2-4 Weeks
Anderson will miss the next 2-4 weeks after an MRI revealed a sprain in his right MCL.
In addition to this news, Anthony Davis will miss the next 1-2 weeks with a sprained right shoulder. This means that the Pelicans' frontcourt should be occupied by Omer Asik, Alexis Ajinca, and Dante Cunningham moving forward. When considering the vagueness of Anderson's timetable for return, his owners may be faced with the difficult decision on whether or not to drop the veteran in lieu of another player who's healthy.
Sat Feb 21 201520:46Ryan Anderson: (Knee) Won't Return Saturday
Anderson won't return to Saturday's game in Miami due to a sprained right knee.
Anderson went down in a heap in the first half Saturday and was initially seen holding his right knee. The injury was non-contact, meaning it could be serious, but the extent has yet to be revealed. With Anthony Davis (shoulder) going down as well, the Pelicans are down to Omer Asik, Alexis Ajinca, Jeff Withey, and Dante Cunningham in the frontcourt.
Sat Feb 21 201520:26Ryan Anderson: Injures Right Leg Saturday
Anderson suffered a right leg injury Saturday at Miami and was carried off the court.
Anderson was holding his right knee on the floor, and upon heading to the locker room, he was unable to put any weight on his right leg. Because the injury was non-contact, the severity is likely significant. However, tests will be performed to confirm the extent of the ailment.

Anderson (elbow) returned from a two-game absence Friday against the Magic. He scored 13 points (4-11 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 4-6 FT) and added three rebounds, one assist, two steals, and one block in 27 minutes off the bench.
Anderson is a career 38 percent three-point shooter, so his 1-6 from downtown when returning from an elbow injury looks like an indication that he may still be dealing with some discomfort. Yet, he had a generally productive night otherwise, and can probably be used as he was before this injury. Just remain on the lookout for future updates relating to his health.

Anderson (elbow) will be available for Friday's game against the Magic, the Times-Picayune reports.
Anderson was originally listed as doubtful for Friday's game but decided to give it a go anyways. Considering that he's still not at his best, it might be wise to consider other options since it's still unclear if he'll be able to play a full compliment of minutes.
Fri Feb 20 201514:14Anderson (elbow) doubtful for Friday's game in Orlando
Anderson (elbow) is doubtful for Friday's game in Orlando, Jennifer Hale of Fox Sports reports.
Anthony Davis (shoulder) is probable to return, so Alexis Ajinca will likely go back to a bench role, even with Anderson expected to sit. Anderson can be considered questionable for Saturday's game in Miami, but he hasn't played since Feb. 7.
Wed Feb 18 201515:05Anderson (elbow) aims to play Friday against Magic
Anderson (elbow) aims to play Friday against the Magic, John Reid of the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Anderson sat out the final two games prior to the All-Star break, but he's on track to play Friday, barring a setback. Anthony Davis (shoulder), who also missed two games before the break, is aiming to play Friday as well, so the Pelicans will be close to full strength - Jrue Holiday (leg) remains sidelined with a stress injury - as they attempt to end a three-game losing skid.
Tue Feb 10 201514:22Anderson (elbow) will not play Wednesday against Pacers
Anderson (elbow) will not play Wednesday against the Pacers, John Reid of the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Anderson will sit out a second straight game due to a right elbow strain. Luke Babbitt and Quincy Pondexter absorbed most of Anderson's minutes in Monday's loss to the Jazz, and that will likely be the case again Wednesday. Expect Anderson to return to action Feb. 20 following the All-Star break.
