Mon Oct 1 201217:42Lakers sign Chris Douglas-Roberts
Lakers sign G/F Chris Douglas-Roberts.
CRD earned a camp invite, but it remains to be seen if he has a legitimate shot to make the team. He fell off the radar after playing in Italy during the lockout, but has enough upside to be worth a low-cost gamble for L.A.

Sat Nov 26 201113:47Chris Douglas-Roberts to remain in Italy
Chris Douglas-Roberts reportedly has no second thoughts about having signed a one-year deal with Virtus Bologna in Italy.
CDR doesn't have an out clause, so he'll be in Italy until their season ends. His NBA career has been rocky, and it may be good for him to get lots of playing time and rehabilitate his image overseas.

Fri Sep 9 201109:57Chris Douglas-Roberts agrees to deal in Italy
Chris Douglas-Roberts and the Italian team Virtus Bologna have agreed on a one-year deal with no 'out-clause', according to Sportando.net.
The deal has not yet been finalized, but an official announcement is expected this weekend. CDR averaged 7.7 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.3 assists in his first three NBA seasons, limited by conflict with the Nets and an eye injury last season with the Bucks.

Tue Sep 6 201111:56Virtus Bologna offers deal to Douglas-Roberts
Virtus Bologna has extended a contract offer to Chris Douglas-Roberts.
This comes on the heels of the team failing to reach an agreement with Carlos Delfino. The two were teammates in Milwaukee last season, but that's more of a coincidence than anything else. Douglas-Roberts was not a factor for the Bucks last season, and he's looking to re-invent his image around the league as he enters unrestricted free agency.

Thu Apr 14 201110:16Douglas-Roberts leaving Milwaukee
Chris Douglas-Roberts said he does not think he will be back in Milwaukee next season.
Douglas-Roberts completely fell out of the rotation late in the season, taking a DNP-CD in 13 of the final 16 games. His rookie contract is up, meaning the Bucks would have to make a qualifying offer if they want him back. It sounds like CDR has already told him that he plans on testing the market.

Sat Mar 5 201103:51CDR (flu) returns to action on Friday
Chris Douglas-Roberts (flu) returned to action on Friday, playing four minutes on his way to two points with one rebound.
It was his first time playing since Feb. 9, and owners can safely ignore him. Even if he does earn time, his only impact would be to clog up the Bucks' rotation at the wing positions.

Fri Feb 11 201119:32Douglas-Roberts out with the flu on Friday
Chris Douglas-Roberts will not play on Friday due to flu-like symptoms.
He is a fantasy afterthought right now, but once he gets healthy he will be another reason to avoid the Milwaukee quagmire.

Tue Feb 8 201110:04CDR takes a DNP-CD
Chris Douglas-Roberts was a DNP-CD in last Thursday's loss to the Warriors.
Douglas-Roberts is getting squeezed out by the insanely crowded swingman rotation in Milwaukee. He played just eight minutes against the Pistons on Saturday and with John Salmons getting healthier by the day, more DNP-CDs are likely.

Mon Feb 7 201109:33CDR falling out of favor due to inconsistency
Bucks swingman Chris Douglas-Roberts shot a combined 2-of-16 from the field on the Bucks' recent road trip.
"You have to play well to play," explained coach Scott Skiles. "It's nothing profound. And you have to have some consistency in your play. Otherwise it's prudent to look in other directions." It's refreshing to hear such a simple and honest assessment, but Skiles made some effort to spare CDR's feelings, adding, "It's not to be overly critical. He's a young player still who's trying to learn what he can and can't do out there."

Chris Douglas-Roberts returned to action on Monday January 31.
Sat Jan 29 201119:13Douglas-Roberts out for personal reasons
Chris Douglas-Roberts will apparently miss Saturday's game following the death of his aunt.
CDR sent a Tweet earlier in the day, which read "Let's get a win tonight Bucks. Sorry I can't be there tonight. Bad day for me." Our thoughts are with him and his family.

Thu Jan 27 201100:09CDR disappears for Bucks in win
Chris Douglas-Roberts, who had 30 points on Monday, had just four points and four assists in 23 minutes in a start on Wednesday.
This is precisely the problem with owning most Bucks. Stud one night, disappears the next. CDR, who suffered and played through a wrist injury, is worth keeping an eye on, but we doubt he'll be consistent enough to own in most leagues. Especially when John Salmons returns from his hip injury.
Tue Jan 25 201102:42CDR scores a season-high 30 points vs. CHI
Chris Douglas-Roberts came one point away from a career-high on Monday, scoring a season-high 30 points on 13-of-21 shooting over 43 minutes with three rebounds, two assists, and no steals or blocks in another start for John Salmons (hip).
Forgive us if the first thing we bring up is the 21 points total he had scored in the six games prior to tonight. The only difference between this game and his other bi-weekly explosions, is that combo guard Garrett Temple will be signed to a 10-day contract on Tuesday. Perhaps the Bucks don't like Salmons' chances of returning and CDR will continue to start, which would give speculating owners a bit more to go on.
Thu Jan 20 201100:57Douglas-Roberts starts, scores six
Chris Douglas-Roberts started in place of injured John Salmons on Wednesday but had just six points and six boards.
There was a time when he was a hot pickup, but those days are long gone.
Thu Jan 13 201100:20CDR disappears in Wednesday's loss
Chris Douglas-Roberts came off the bench and failed to score in 23 minutes on Wednesday.
He'd scored 30 and 24 points in his previous two games, but was awful tonight. As long as he's not starting for Milwaukee, he should probably be left on the fantasy waiver wire.
Wed Jan 12 201114:40CDR, not Maggette, may start at SF Wednesday
The Bucks' NBA.com preview for Wednesday's game lists Chris Douglas-Roberts as the starting small forward.
This stands in contrast to a previous Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel item that listed Corey Maggette as Wednesday's starter. Official confirmation isn't always easy to get out of Milwaukee, but Maggette (20 points, six rebounds on Saturday) and Douglas-Roberts (27.0 ppg in his last two) are both playing well at the moment, with CDR looking like the slightly stronger play.

Sat Jan 8 201121:49CDR does it again, scoring 24 off Bucks bench
Chris Douglas-Roberts followed up his career-high 30-point game with 24 points, two rebounds, four assists, and three steals.
CDR shot 9-of-14 from the field (one 3-pointer) and 5-of-5 from the line, playing 36 minutes in an easy win vs. the Nets. We're not sure how long he can keep this up, but fantasy owners should just add him and find out.
Sat Jan 8 201100:15CDR explodes for 30 in tough loss to Heat
Chris Douglas-Roberts hit 12-of-19 shots on his way to a season high of 30 points to go along with five rebounds, two assists, two steals, four blocks and two 3-pointers in an overtime loss to the Heat on Friday.
Feel free to pick him up, but he's been awful over the last month. This line would have been huge had he not already been dropped in most leagues, but it likely went to waste on your waiver wire. Maybe he's ready to get hot, but we don't trust him at all - especially coming off the bench.
Wed Dec 29 201010:30CDR no longer starting for Bucks
Chris Douglas-Roberts has been removed from the Bucks' starting lineup in favor of Luc Richard Mbah a Moute.
No word yet on if this is permanent, but we suspect it is. Douglas-Roberts averaged an ugly 8.2/1.8/1.2 triple slash as a starter and we benched for his defense at one point. With Corey Maggette now healthy, CDR can safely be dropped.
