Tue Dec 28 201012:33Chris Douglas-Roberts benched for defense
Chris Douglas-Roberts was benched for poor defense in Monday's loss to the Hawks.
Douglas-Roberts gave up two easy layups to Josh Smith in the opening minutes and got the hook. Over his last four games, CDR is averaging 4.7 points a night. He doesn't have a roto-friendly game anyway, so it's time to move on.

Mon Dec 27 201023:53CDR scoreless in just 15 minutes on Monday
Chris Douglas-Roberts missed all three of his shots and failed to score in 15 minutes despite another start at SF for the Bucks on Monday.
He should have been dropped already, as he has struggled since getting hot for a couple games after moving into the starting lineup. It looks like his job is in serious jeopardy, although it's unclear as to who Scott Skiles would replace him with. Corey Maggette makes the most sense, but he's not playing well either.
Fri Dec 24 201000:35Chris Douglas-Roberts is awful again.
Chris Douglas-Roberts started and played heavy minutes on Thursday against the Kings, but did nothing with his time. He finished with five points, one rebound, and one assist.
He was not on the court when the Bucks took the lead late, and to borrow an old line from Bob Barker, he "should be working at the snack bar." He has no value going forward.
Wed Dec 22 201002:59CDR doesn't join the party vs. the Lakers
Chris Douglas-Roberts did not join the Bucks' party on Tuesday, scoring just six points on 3-of-5 shooting with one rebound, no assists, and two steals in 25 minutes.
He has shown flashes of offensive brilliance, but hasn't converted it into fantasy value, even with the Bucks' dealing with an assortment of injuries. Go ahead and cut him if you haven't already.
Tue Dec 21 201005:31CDR, other struggle vs. the Blazers
Chris Douglas-Roberts was one of a few Bucks that struggled on Monday, as he finished with four points on 1-of-7 shooting with three rebounds, one assist, and one steal as the Bucks got blown out by the Blazers.
Ersan Ilyasova scored four points with three rebounds in 19 minutes, Drew Gooden scored 10 points with four rebounds in 20 minutes, and while we're not optimistic the Bucks' fortunes change against the Lakers on Tuesday, this was certainly a throw-away game from a fantasy standpoint.
Sun Dec 19 201002:07CDR posts quiet 13-point line vs. UTA
Chris Douglas-Roberts was mostly quiet in Saturday's game, scoring 13 points on 3-of-9 shooting (7-of-7 from the foul line) with two rebounds, one assists, and one block in 37 minutes.
The minutes are there, so we're still on the bandwagon. With three games in the Bucks' upcoming week owners should give him starting consideration.
Thu Dec 16 201000:31CDR scores 21 in start for Bucks
Chris Douglas-Roberts hit 8-of-15 shots and two 3-pointers on his way to 21 points, three rebounds, two assists, two steals and a block in his first start at small forward for Scott Skiles and the Bucks.
The Bucks basically played a seven-man rotation tonight, as Corey Maggette and Earl Boykins only played five minutes. Who knows whether Skiles will stick with that idea going forward, but CDR now deserves a look in all leagues. You can trust that Skiles will eventually tire of CDR and his lose his value, but that could take several weeks, if not longer, to happen.
Wed Dec 15 201013:33CDR to join Bucks' starting five
Chris Douglas-Roberts is expected to join the Bucks' starting lineup on Wednesday.
CDR had 14 points, five rebounds and two assists on Monday's game and is worth an add if you're in need of a slight boost in scoring. Luc Richard Mbah a Moute heads to the bench for now.

Tue Dec 14 201001:02CDR gets 27 minutes of run off the bench
Chris Douglas-Roberts saw extra playing time as the Bucks needed to play catchup on Monday, logging 27 minutes off the bench, finishing with 14 points on 4-of-5 shooting with five rebounds and two assists.
The Bucks found themselves down by 20 points in the second quarter and the second unit brought the game back within reach. Even though CDR often shows flashes of ability, there's little hope for him in Milwaukee's crowded rotations.
Sat Dec 11 201011:01Bucks want more playing time for CDR
The Bucks are trying to find more minutes for Chris Douglas-Roberts, but are limited by the need to "get John [Salmons] going."
"For instance, the other night (vs. Indiana) when John goes 1 for 6 to start out, the thought process is we'd like to get John back in there a little bit quicker than if John was 4 for 6," said Skiles. That bit of coaching philosophy aside, CDR's meager fantasy offerings will get even smaller whenever Carlos Delfino (and his helmet) gets on the court.

Mon Nov 29 201023:59CDR scores 19 points in second game back
Chris Douglas-Roberts scored 19 points in his second game back from an eye injury on Monday, hitting 5-of-12 shots from the field (including three 3-pointers) with four rebounds, one assist, and a block in 34 minutes of the bench.
He has looked great since he returned, but it's hard to get too excited for him given the logjam of wing options in Milwaukee. If you're in a deeper league, however, it makes sense to add him as a short-term pickup with upside.
Sun Nov 28 201001:54CDR (eye) returns to action Saturday
Chris Douglas-Roberts (eye) returned to action on Saturday, playing 20 minutes off the bench with 11 points on 4-of-6 shooting (including a three), one rebound, one assist, and one steal.
This is a good enough performance in his return for deep leaguers to take notice, particularly with the Bucks dealing with injuries to Carlos Delfino (concussion) and Corey Maggette (foot). His long-term outlook isn't all that great, however, once those guys return.
Fri Nov 26 201013:06Chris Douglas-Roberts likely to play Saturday
Bucks coach Scott Skiles expects to have Chris Douglas-Roberts available for Saturday's home game.
CDR's fantasy prospects are poor, but Milwaukee's offense has been atrocious this season and they can certainly use a spark. He's at least worth keeping an eye on in deep leagues.

Tue Nov 23 201022:04CDR (eye) says he'll return in one week
Chris Douglas-Roberts said on Tuesday that he would would return from his eye injury in "like a week."
Not that it matters too much in fantasy leagues, but his presence just adds another member to an already crowded rotation should Scott Skiles choose to include him.

Sat Nov 13 201010:23Douglas-Roberts could practice in two weeks
Bucks swingman Chris Douglas-Roberts expects to resume contact drills in two weeks, following results of an examination Thursday.
CDR said he will have to wear goggles to protect his eye for the rest of his career, but he avoided what could have been a career-ending injury. "It's healing properly and I don't have to have any more procedures done," he said. "I have to condition myself and get myself back in shape."

Thu Nov 11 201010:58CDR not close to returning
Chris Douglas-Roberts (eye surgery) is not close to returning to action.
CDR isn't expected to even start doing physical activity for another few days. After that, he'll need a significant amount of time to kick off rust and get in game shape. He's not a threat to any of the Bucks' guards.

Tue Oct 26 201016:04Update: CDR (eye surgery) to miss a month
Chris Douglas-Roberts will reportedly miss the first month of the season after undergoing eye surgery.
It's unfortunate news for CDR, but from a fantasy perspective this actually helps clear up something of a pile-up at the SG/SF positions in Milwaukee. Look for John Salmons, Carlos Delfino and Corey Maggette to split the majority of those minutes three ways.

Tue Oct 26 201013:06CDR out for opener
Chris Douglas-Roberts (eye) will miss the first two games of the season.
CDR got poked in the eye on Sunday. It means a couple extra minutes for Brandon Jennings.

Mon Oct 25 201014:42CDR iffy for opener with eye injury
Bucks guard Chris Douglas-Roberts is questionable for Wednesday's regular-season opener in New Orleans due to blurred vision in his right eye.
He was poked in the eye in practice Sunday and it became discolored and swollen, keeping him out of Monday's session. "I can't really see out of it," he said. "It's really blurry. It's inconvenient." And while we don't think he was trying to be funny, he answered "we'll see" when asked if he would play on Wednesday. Consider him day-to-day and look for Brandon Jennings to get some extra minutes if he's out.

Sat Oct 23 201000:05CDR plays well in start at shooting guard
Chris Douglas-Roberts started at shooting guard Friday and had 15 points, eight rebounds and two assists.
With John Salmons still hurting, CDR has played well in the preseason and could be in line for the starting job. However, once Salmons is healthy, his run should come to a quick end.
