Arthur is out of Friday's game against the Clippers with a lower-leg strain, the Denver Post reports.

The origin of Arthur's lower leg strain is a bit unclear, but he isn't available for Friday's game. He is considered day-to-day, so he could be available for the Nuggets' next game Saturday against the Pacers.

Arthur scored 12 points (5-13 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT) and accumulated nine rebounds, five assists and one steal in 28 minutes off the bench on Wednesday against the Houston Rockets.

Arthur has seen an increase in minutes over his last three games (24 minutes per game versus 18 minutes for the season). During that span he is scoring 13.3 points and contributing 6.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.7 steals and 2.3 3PM. These are solid numbers from a guy who isn't likely owned in your league as he is owned in less than one percent of ESPN leagues. If you're need of a filler in a deeper league or a short-term option in standard leagues you could find worse than Arthur.

It appears as if Arthur will have a minimal role off the bench this season as he's currently listed below Kenneth Faried on the depth chart. There's no reason to believe this will change in the near future and Arthur will likely struggle to stay on the court for more than 20 minutes on any given night as a result.

Obviously that's small sample size theater but the injury to J.J. Hickson (knee) could open up more minutes and that makes him worth a look at least. Anthony Randolph (10 points, six boards, 16 minutes) is a cut or two below Arthur. The Nugs finish out with a 3-4-3 schedule.
