Sun Dec 18 201109:38Mavs looking for consistency from Roddy B
Rodrigue Beaubois' surgically-repaired foot appears healthy, but coach Rick Carlisle hopes to see more consistent play.
"The thing with [Beaubois], we've all seen the flashes of brilliance,'' Carlisle said. "But we're looking for consistency...in terms of concentration and in terms of him utilizing his abilities. And I believe he's getting better." Dallas is too deep for Roddy to have any value while Jason Kidd is healthy.

Fri Dec 9 201119:02Roddy B's foot injury looks to be behind him
Roddy Beaubois looked great in camp on Friday and was said to be "dunking with authority."
We're going to close the book on his foot injury for now. Let's just hope he stays healthy and finally has that breakout season everyone has been waiting for. Target him as a sleeper late in your draft.

Thu Aug 25 201113:55Roddy Beaubois still recovering from surgery
Rodrigue Beaubois (foot surgery) is still approximately one month away from running in his rehabilitation process.
This is the second surgery on the same foot for Beaubois, and one has to wonder if the procedures will begin to sap some of the explosiveness from his game. That would be devastating for Beaubois, because his speed on the court is one of the best parts of his attack. He is expected to be near full strength by the time training camp is normally scheduled to open.

Thu Jul 21 201115:37Roddy Beaubois to be backup PG?
ESPN Dallas suggests Roddy Beaubois' new role will be as a backup point guard.
Beaubois is no longer considered a real candidate to start at shooting guard, especially with Rudy Fernandez in the fold. Once he gets over his latest foot surgery -- which may not be until September -- he'll likely resume grooming his point guard skills. Until Jason Kidd retires, Beaubois wouldn't have a major role.

Wed Jul 13 201112:23Beaubois won't go to Europe
Restricted free agent Roddy Beaubois (foot surgery) won't pursue opportunities in Europe.
It's just a reminder that Beaubois' foot is a major red flag. When the NBA resumes, he'll be extremely rusty just like last season when he came back from his foot injury too soon.

Thu Jun 30 201118:10Mavs make Beaubois restricted FA
The Mavericks exercised a team option on G Roddy Beaubois, making him a restricted free agent.
This was an easy call for the Mavs, despite a lost season from Beaubois. If healthy next season, and he should be after more foot surgery, look for him to make an impact, but use caution when looking at him for fantasy purposes.

Mon Jun 27 201115:56Roddy Beaubois has left foot surgery
Roddy Beaubois had left foot surgery on Monday to clean up issues lingering from an injury, which he originally suffered last summer.
He missed most of the season and all of the playoffs, while Jose Juan Barea took another step forward. Beaubois was a popular fantasy sleeper pick last year, but should be ignored until he proves he's healthy, and starts getting good minutes for the Mavs.

Mon Jun 27 201109:30Roddy Beaubois to undergo foot surgery again
Roddy Beaubois (foot) will undergo surgery once again and is expected to be sidelined for two to three months.
Beaubois just can't catch a break with his nagging injury, and it appears that his foot never fully healed despite plenty of rest during the season. He can't be trusted in fantasy leagues until he can prove capable of staying healthy.

Tue Jun 14 201111:26Beaubois expects to be 100 percent
Roddy Beaubois (foot) is expected to finally be 100 percent next season.
Beaubois struggled so badly in his late-season return to the lineup that he did not play a single minute in the playoffs. It had a lot to do with the excruciatingly slow recovery from his broken foot. Beaubois will be a nice deep-league flier next season thanks to his extremely friendly fantasy game.

Tue May 31 201110:30Roddy Beaubois' foot still not 100 percent
Roddy Beaubois admitted that his left foot is still not 100 percent.
Beaubois went from the guy that would save the Mavs' season to inactive on game days due to ineffectiveness. Perhaps the lingering effects of his broken foot are to blame. Beaubois must get his foot back to 100 percent this offseason to that little sprains and tweaks don't cause extended absences. Until he proves his health, we can't be confident in Beaubois reaching his fantasy potential.

Sat May 14 201110:51Beaubois may be activated by Mavericks
Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle hasn't ruled out using guard Roddy Beaubois against either the Grizzlies or Thunder in the Western Conference finals.
Beaubois has been active for just one game during the playoffs, as Dallas bulked up to battle big backcourts and even bigger frontcourts. Whether or not he makes the active roster, we're not expecting to see much from Roddy B.

Sun May 1 201112:51Beaubois unlikely to play much vs. Lakers
Rodrigue Beaubois is not expected to play a big role in the second-round, despite the Mavericks' need for more penetration on offense.
"If he plays, it'll be a situational thing, most likely," said Rick Carlisle. "But the important thing is he got 20-some starts under his belt...The [ankle] injury set him back a little bit. But he's getting healthier now and it'll be between him and [Corey] Brewer as to who's active most likely.''

Thu Apr 28 201121:26Roddy B finally active for Mavericks
Roddy Beaubois, who has been out for the playoffs with a foot injury, is finally active for Thursday's Game 6.
Corey Brewer is in street clothes tonight, although it's not known how much Beaubois will play tonight. Our guess is he sees pretty limited mintues.

Mon Apr 25 201120:11Beaubois inactive again for Game 5
Roddy Beaubois (foot) will be inactive for Game 5 against the Blazers on Monday.
"He's getting a lot closer, but he's not there yet," Rick Carlisle said. The Mavs aren't in much of a hurry to bring him back, as he wasn't able to pick things up in his first return to action this year.

Thu Apr 21 201121:43Roddy B inactive for Game 3 due to foot
Roddy Beaubois will be inactive for Thursday's Game 3 at Portland.
The Mavs are deep in the backcourt and this should mean Jason Kidd has another nice stat line, while Jose Juan Barea and Jason Terry should also see plenty of touches.

Tue Apr 19 201114:24Roddy Beaubois still uncertain for Game 2
There has been no update on Rodrigue Beaubois (foot) for Game 2 vs. Portland.
Rick Carlisle was asked at shootaround for an update on the guard, and responded "we'll announce the lineups tonight". That's not exactly a glowing endorsement for the health of his foot, and even if he does play, it's likely he wouldn't see extended minutes.

Sat Apr 16 201113:07Roddy B inactive Saturday w/ foot sprain
Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle has reported that guard Roddy Beaubois will be inactive for Saturday's game against Portland.
DeShawn Stevenson will take Roddy B's spot in the starting lineup Saturday and may stay above him on the depth chart due to the size of the Blazer's backcourt.

Fri Apr 15 201109:20Roddy Beaubois still iffy for Saturday
Tests confirmed that Roddy Beaubois has a sprained left foot, but his status for Saturday's game remains uncertain.
"We'll just see how he's doing in the next couple or three days," said coach Rick Carlisle. The Mavs are ready to start DeShawn Stevenson at SG, however, which makes sense as the Blazers have a relatively 'big' backcourt.

Thu Apr 14 201115:05No update on Beaubois
The Mavs did not provide an update on Roddy Beaubois (foot) Thursday.
Even if Roddy B is healthy, his poor play has him behind DeShawn Stevenson. Beat writer Tim MacMahon says not to see much of Beaubois in the series against Portland regardless of health.
