Collison (hip) will fly to Los Angeles to visit with a specialist Tuesday.
Collison hasn't played since Feb. 5, missing the last six games with a hip flexor strain. With the Kings off until Wednesday, it's possible he could play against the Grizzlies, though at this point it seems very unlikely he'll be cleared, especially considering he's yet to practice. That means Ray McCallum will probably remain the starter with veteran Andre Miller serving as the backup. McCallum played 23 minutes Saturday against the Clippers, while Miller played 22.
Sat Feb 21 201516:11Darren Collison: (Hip) Out Saturday
Collison (hip) will not play in Saturday's game against the Clippers, the Cowbell Kingdom reports.
Collison just can't seem to get healthy so Ray McCallum will likely get another start Saturday with newly acquired Andre Miller seeing time off the bench at point as well. The next opportunity for Collison to take the court will be Wednesday against the Grizzlies.
Fri Feb 20 201516:11Collison (hip) will not play in Friday's game against Celtics
Collison (hip) will not play in Friday's game against the Celtics.
Collison is slated to miss a fifth straight game, as his hip flexor strain continues to be a hinderance following the All-Star break. With Collison sidelined, second-year player Ray McCallum could start at point guard in George Karl's Kings coaching debut. At the moment, it's unclear if Collison will be ready to return for Saturday's game at the Clippers.
Thu Feb 19 201521:32Darren Collison: (Hip) Doubtful For Friday
Collison (hip) is listed as doubtful for Friday's contest against the Celtics.
Collison missed Sacramento's final five outings before the break due to a right hip flexor strain, which didn't allow him to practice in full either Wednesday or Thursday. After shipping out Ramon Session, new coach George Karl will be required to entrust greybeard Andre Miller and Ray McCallum with keys to the offense.

Collison (hip) says he hopes to play Friday despite not being able to practice at full speed, Sean Cunningham of KXTV in Sacramento reports.
Collison was unable to put in full practices both Wednesday and Thursday, but nonetheless he hopes the hip will feel well enough to play Friday. If he's ultimately held out, the Kings will be shorthanded at point guard after dealing Ramon Sessions, so Ray McCallum would get the start, assuming Andre Miller, who the Kings acquired in the Sessions deal, is not yet cleared to play.
Thu Feb 19 201512:43Collison (hip) unlikely to play Friday when Kings host Celtics
Collison (hip) is unlikely to play Friday when the Kings host the Celtics, Jason Jones of the Sacramento Bee reports.
Collison was very limited during Wednesday's session, so unless he significantly ramps up his activity Thursday, it appears Ray McCallum is on track to get the start. The Kings dealt Ramon Sessions to Washington in exchange for Andre Miller on Thursday, and if Miller does not arrive in Sacramento in time for Friday's game, the team could be severely shorthanded at point guard.
Wed Feb 18 201522:06Darren Collison: (Hip) Fits In Little Activity Wednesday
Collison (hip) did very little during Wednesday's practice, the Sacramento Bee reports.
New coach George Karl relayed Collison's activity level, but the point guard was seen taking jumpers. Collison was sidelined the last four games before the break due to a strained right hip flexor, and his inability to fit in much work Wednesday seems to imply highly questionable availability for Friday's contest against the Celtics.
Wed Feb 11 201514:14Collison (hip) will not play Wednesday against Bucks
Collison (hip) will not play Wednesday against the Bucks, Jason Jones of the Sacramento Bee reports.
Collison will miss a fourth straight game while battling a strained hip flexor, meaning former-Buck Ramon Sessions will likely make another start at point guard in his place. With a lengthy All-Star break approaching, Collison will have plenty of time to rest, and he figures to have a good chance to be ready to return when the Kings resume play on Feb. 20.
Tue Feb 10 201514:01Collison (hip) ruled out for Tuesday's game against Bulls
Collison (hip) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Bulls.
Collison will miss a third straight game since straining his right hip flexor against the Mavericks on Thursday. With the All-Star break approaching, it's unlikely Collison returns to play Wednesday in Milwaukee, so Ramon Sessions should continue to start in his place.
Sun Feb 8 201514:58Darren Collison: (Hip) Will Not Face Suns
Collison (hip) will not play against the Suns on Sunday, Cowbell Kingdom reports.
This will be the second straight game that Collison misses with a hip flexor injury. He should be considered day-to-day moving forward while Ramon Sessions and Ray McCallum benefit from added time on the hardwood.
Sat Feb 7 201515:00Darren Collison: (Hip) Out Saturday
Collison (hip) has been ruled out for Saturday's game, Cowbell Kingdom's James Ham reports.
He suffered a strained hip flexor in Thursday's game, and will likely be replaced by a combination of Ramon Sessions and Ray McCallum at point guard Saturday. The Kings play again on Sunday, a game that Collison should be considered highly questionable for.
Fri Feb 6 201519:27Darren Collison: (Hip) Doubtful For Saturday
Collison's MRI on his abdomen revealed a strain in his hip flexor and he's now considered doubtful for Saturday's game against the Mavericks.
Collison should be considered day-to-day moving forward while Ramon Sessions likely picks up extra minutes in Collison's potential absence. If Collison is ultimately ruled out Saturday, the next game for him to get back on the court will be against the Suns on Sunday.
Thu Feb 5 201523:29Darren Collison: (Abdominal Strain) Will Not Return
Collison will miss the remainder of Thursday's game against the Mavericks with an abdominal strain, Eddie Sefko of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Collison's injury likely happened at some point in the second quarter, as he will not come out for the second half. He finishes the night with six points, an assist and three turnovers in 14 minutes, and will undergo an MRI Friday that should provide more info on the situation.

Collison played 36 minutes during Tuesday's loss to the Warriors, finishing with 18 points (8-15 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), two rebounds, seven assists and a steal.
Collison continues to be a decent source of points and assists, as he has gone a combined 17-for-30 from the field and 4-for-10 from the three-point line to score 41 points, along with 12 assists over his last two games. He looks to be hitting his groove, so look for him to have this type of production moving forward, although he does have a tough matchup against the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday.

Collison had 23 points (9-15 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-4 FT) with five rebounds and five assists in 40 minutes in the win over the Pacers on Saturday.
Collison had been putting up decent but hardly heart-pounding numbers. In his four previous games, he had not eclipsed 16 points and five assists. He is getting regular minutes and is putting up numbers that would be relevant in a deep league.

Collison scored 24 points (9-19 FG, 5-10 3Pt, 1-1 FT) with one rebound, seven assists and two steals in 38 minutes during Wednesday's loss to the Kings.
Collison has been one of the value picks of the season. He is averaging career highs in points, assists, steals and three-pointers. His efficiency is also excellent for a point guard. His production should be sustainable for the remainder of the season.

Collison was red-hot, scoring 27 points (9-10 FG, 3-3 3Pt, 6-6 FT) with one rebound, 10 assists and two steals in 43 minutes Saturday.
Collison missed just one shot for the day, yielding a season-high in scoring and has been a complete surprise with his output this season. Collison has also had at least two steals in six straight games and is a having a career year in his first in Sacramento.

Collison scored 17 points (7-14 FG, 2-4 3P, 1-2 FT) with five assist, two rebounds and two steals in 32 minutes during Monday's loss to the Warriors.
After a couple of rough performances in the middle of the month, Collison has now scored at least 15 points in three straight games, which perhaps not coincidentally is also when DeMarcus Cousins returned to the lineup. With Cousins again the focal point of opposition defenses, look for Collison to become a consistent asset once again.

Collison scored 15 points (6-11 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT) and added one rebound, five assists and three steals in 40 minutes of play on Thursday.
Collison has hit a scoring rut. In his last three games he is averaging 8.0 points but still adding 3.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.0 three-pointer over his last three games while playing 32.7 minutes a game. His numbers will likely bounce back now that DeMarcus Cousins (illness) has returned.
Wed Dec 10 201415:55Darren Collison:
Collison scored 26 points (11-18 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-8 FT) and added four rebounds and six assists in 38 minutes of action against the Lakers on Tuesday.
Over the last seven days Collison is averaging 21 points, four rebounds, six assists, one steal and one three-pointer per game. The uptick in scoring is likely attributed to the absence of DeMarcus Cousins who is out with a viral infection. As long as DeMarcus is out, owners can expect the scoring surge from Collison to continue.
