Thu Oct 25 201201:32A.J. Price dishes out 5 assists, scores 11
A.J. Price started again on Wednesday and had 11 points, five assists and two triples in 24 minutes against the Heat.
Price looks like he has the starting job locked up while John Wall is on the mend. He's not going to be a rock star or anything, but he shoots the three and should provide a handful of assists.

Tue Oct 23 201209:52A.J. Price emerging as starting Wizards PG
A.J. Price has emerged to start at PG while John Wall (patella) is injured.
The Washington Post calls Price the "favorite," and we'd agree. Shelvin Mack is lucky to still be seeing time in the league and Jannero Pargo was simply signed for insurance. Price is coming off a double-double in fewer than 30 minutes in his last preseason game, but there isn't a lot of long-term fantasy upside with Wall due back in late November.

Sat Oct 20 201222:53A.J. Price double-doubles in Wizards' win
A.J. Price double-doubled in the Wizards' win over the Bucks on Saturday, scoring 17 points and handing out 11 assists in under 26 minutes.
Price shot 6-of-9 from the field with three 3-pointers, four rebounds, one steal and only two turnovers. He may have been feeling some pressure from Shelvin Mack, but has now all but locked up the starting PG job while John Wall (knee) is out of commission. With Wall due back in late November, however, there's not a lot of upside for Price.

Wed Oct 17 201222:25A.J. Price has nice game off the bench
A.J. Price had eight assists to go with his eight points, one steal, two threes and one turnover in 22 minutes on Wednesday.
Price outplayed Jannero Pargo (10 points, zero assists and two turnovers) and Shelvin Mack (no points in just five minutes) tonight and he may be in the leader to hold down the fort at point guard while John Wall is out. Regardless, he isn't worth more than a late-round pick in deep leagues.

Sun Oct 7 201216:07A.J. Price starts and struggles in opener
A.J. Price drew the start in Sunday's preseason opener and turned in a line of nine points (on 3-of-10 shooting), five assists and five turnovers in 25 minutes.
Jannero Pargo (abdominal) sat this one out for the Wizards. Shelvin Mack had the better day with three points, seven assists and no turnovers. We will need to keep an eye on this situation before it's time to decide on which player to take with your last pick in deeper formats.

Fri Oct 5 201217:36Price stands out in the point guard vacuum
A.J. Price stood out amongst the potential replacements for John Wall (patella) during Friday's practice.
If one of Price, Jannero Pargo (out, ribs), or Shelvin Mack could emerge with any fantasy value, it will be short-lived as Wall is expected to return to the court around the end of November. Jordan Crawford, who has run the team in the past, had trouble getting them into their sets on Friday and that is nothing new. Price, on the other hand, was credited with the scrimmage win and was singled out by beat writer Michael Lee in his writeup, and also praised by Trevor Ariza. It's not hard to see where this article was heading, but it's too early in the process to crown a replacement yet.

Tue Jul 24 201214:35Wizards officially sign PG A.J. Price
Wizards sign PG A.J. Price.
Price averaged 6.0 points and 2.0 assists during three seasons with the Pacers, and he's unlikely to play many minutes while John Wall is healthy. "A.J. is an experienced and dependable player," said Wizards president Ernie Grunfeld. "Adding him will help to bring depth to our backcourt rotation."

Tue Jul 24 201212:12Wizards agree to terms with G A.J. Price
The Wizards and unrestricted FA A.J. Price have agreed to terms, according to beat writer Michael Lee.
Details of the deal are not known at this time, but Price is expected to serve as a veteran backup point guard behind John Wall and Shelvin Mack. price spent the last three seasons with the Pacers, where he had career averages of 6.0 points and 2.0 assists on 37.5 percent shooting.

Sun Jul 8 201223:00Pacers renounce rights to A.J. Price
The Pacers have renounced their rights to restricted FA A.J. Price, making him an unrestricted FA.
The Pacers are set at PG with Darren Collison and George Hill under contract, they still have faith in backup guard Lance Stephenson, and they're said to be targeting SGs like O.J. Mayo and Courtney Lee in free agency. There's simply no space for a marginal guy like Price on the roster.

Fri Jun 29 201214:05Pacers restrict point guard A.J. Price
The Pacers have extended a qualifying contract offer to A.J. Price, making him a restricted free agent.
Indiana can now match any offer Price receives on the free agent market. Depending on what happens with fellow restricted free agent George Hill, Price may or may not be back with the Pacers.

Tue Mar 20 201218:43A.J. Price out of the rotation
A.J. Price is out of the Pacers' primary rotation thanks to the Leandro Barbosa trade.
Price was backing up Darren Collison, but George Hill will fill that role now. Barbosa steps into Hill's old role as the backup shooting guard behind Paul George. Price is headed for a bit gig and garbage time minutes.

Wed Feb 22 201222:27A.J. Price plays well in win
A.J. Price hit 4-of-7 shots and a 3-pointer for 11 points, four rebounds and six assists in Wednesday's win over Charlotte.
He got some extra run as the Pacers went with their bench for much of the game, but should have no fantasy value as long as Darren Collison is healthy.

Sat Feb 11 201221:58A.J. Price solid in 17 minutes off bench
A.J. Price made the most of his 17 minutes off the Pacers' bench on Saturday, scoring 13 points with two 3-pointers, two assists, two steals and one block.
The Nuggets were using some oddball lineups which may have caused the Pacers to mix-and-match, thus resulting in more action for Price. He's plenty talented and would be fun to watch in heavy minutes, but hadn't cracked 16 minutes in a game all season.

Thu Feb 2 201207:39A.J. Price to be backup to Darren Collison
A.J. Price will be Darren Collison's backup at point guard while George Hill (ankle) is out.
The Pacers will use Lance Stephenson to backup Paul George at shooting guard and Dahntay Jones behind Danny Granger at small forward. Frank Vogel said that Price will play between 12-16 minutes behind Collison, making him very unlikely to accumulate fantasy value in standard sized leagues.

Fri Jan 27 201223:21Price a DNP-CD on Friday against Celtics
A.J. Price (strep throat) was not listed on the injury report in advance of Friday's game, and is listed as a DNP-CD in the box score.
We're taking him off the injury report unless we get another report. Price has no value in fantasy leagues and his impact on the rotation is minimal.

Thu Jan 26 201207:41A.J. Price aiming to return on Friday?
A.J. Price (strep throat) will meet the Pacers in Boston for Friday's game.
Price has missed the last two games with strep throat, but this news should not have relevance in your fantasy league.

Wed Jan 25 201207:40A.J. Price misses Tuesday's game with illness
A.J. Price (illness) was unavailable for Tuesday's game against Orlando.
This news should not impact your fantasy league as Price hasn't seen more than 15 minutes in a game this year and is averaging 1.3 points per game.

Wed Apr 20 201109:22Price would start in place of DC
Coach Frank Vogel confirmed that A.J. Price will start Thursday if Darren Collison (ankle) can't go.
Collison is very questionable, and even if the starter plays he figures to be very limited. Price can't penetrate or knock down mid-range jumpers like Collison, but he would get 25-30 minutes. In 24 Game 2 minutes, Price had 13 points, one assist and two treys. T.J. Ford would also see significant time.

Tue Apr 19 201100:52Price could run show for Pacers in Game 3
A.J. Price had 13 points, three rebounds, one assist, one steal and two 3-pointers in Monday's loss to the Bulls.
Darren Collison went down with a severely sprained left ankle and might miss the rest of the series, meaning Price would start at point guard for the Pacers. If you're in a fantasy playoff league where you can make add/drops, Price is nearly a must-own at this point.

Thu Mar 24 201110:33Price gets back in the rotation
A.J. Price was back in the rotation Wednesday after being benching Monday for disciplinary reasons.
Price's return as Darren Collison's primary backup meant that Lance Stephenson played just two minutes of garbage time. Coach Frank Vogel clearly didn't hold a grudge against Price for missing Monday's shootaround.
