Sat Nov 17 201221:43Jordan Crawford scores 20 pts in start at SG
In the battle of new-look starting lineups, Jordan Crawford scored 20 points with eight assists and two turnovers -- he made 7-of-18 FGs and 5-of-5 FTs in a team-high 35 minutes.
Bradley Beal moved to the bench and it's anyone's guess if he'll retake the job this season, making Crawford a nice pickup for those in need of points and 3-pointers.

Sat Nov 17 201218:28Jordan Crawford starts, Beal to the bench
Jordan Crawford will start at shooting guard for the Wizards against the Jazz on Saturday.
Bradley Beal will head to the bench and deservedly so since he's shooting just 32 percent from the field. Crawford logged 35 minutes and scored 21 points against Dallas on Wednesday, so he could move up the fantasy ranks quickly with a nice game. Beal is on thin ice in standard leagues.

Thu Nov 15 201201:23Jordan Crawford breaks out with 21 points
Jordan Crawford came off the bench and got hot when A.J. Price suffered an sprained ankle (and didn't return), to finish with a season-high tying 21 points, four rebounds, seven assists, a steal and three 3-pointers on 6-of-11 shooting.
Crawford played a lot of point guard after Price left and if he's going to miss time, Crawford is going to be a hot add off fantasy waiver wires. We'll need more information on Price's condition before announcing Crawford as a must-own player, as he had scored nine or less points in four straight games. But tonight probably boosted his confidence and he's worth a flier if you have someone to drop.

Sat Nov 10 201221:38Jordan Crawford plays through sore ankle
Jordan Crawford played through his lingering ankle issue on Saturday, notching nine points on 3-of-6 shooting from beyond the arc.
Crawford's ankle is slowing him down and he doesn't have much fantasy upside while he's stuck in a bench role behind rookie Bradley Beal. Look elsewhere for points and 3-pointers.

Jordan Crawford was a game-time decision due to a lingering ankle injury on Friday, and he managed to play 13 minutes on his way to eight points, one rebounds, two assists, and a steal.
We're going to keep him on the injury report until we get a clear indication that he will play in the Wizards' upcoming game on Saturday. He needs to be on benches or the waiver wire until he can get back on track.

Thu Nov 8 201217:46Jordan Crawford (ankle) a game-time call Fri.
Jordan Crawford (sprained ankle) is a game-time decision for Friday.
Randy Wittman says that Crawford's ankle is still sore, but when asked how he felt, Crawford told beat writer Michael Lee "Gravy. Gravy." It sounds like Crawford has a good shot to play, but he's a risky option after only seeing 15 minutes of action on Wednesday.

Jordan Crawford returned from a sprained ankle, but hit just 1-of-6 shots in 15 minutes of Wednesday's OT loss to the Celtics.

Wed Nov 7 201216:59Jordan Crawford set to return Wednesday
Jordan Crawford (sprained ankle) will play Wednesday night against the Celtics.
Crawford had been adamant he would return against Boston and Randy Wittman confirmed the news Wednesday afternoon. Crawford led the Wizards with 21 points the night he was injured and could be a useful weapon for fantasy owners this season if he shows more consistency.

Tue Nov 6 201208:42Jordan Crawford (ankle) uncertain for Wed.
Jordan Crawford (sprained ankle) did not practice on Monday and his status for Wednesday's game against the Celtics is uncertain.
Crawford said on Monday that he intended to play, but Randy Wittman wasn't sure he'd be available after the volume shooter sat out of practice. "It's got some swelling," Wittman said. "It's a concern, but it's gotten a lot better from Saturday." However, Crawford was confident he'll play. "I'm going to play," he said. Wittman also said he has no plans to move Crawford out of his sixth man role. If Crawford can't play, Bradley Beal and Martell Webster would both see a bump in minutes.

Mon Nov 5 201209:51Jordan Crawford vows to play Wednesday
Jordan Crawford, who sprained his ankle on Saturday, plans to play on Wednesday against the Celtics.
"I love playing Boston," he said. Crawford returned to the game on Saturday after sustaining the sprain, so we're not concerned, and he should be ready to go by Wednesday.

Sat Nov 3 201221:47Jordan Crawford scores 21 pts, tweaks ankle
Jordan Crawford briefly left Saturday's game after spraining his left ankle, but he returned to finish with 21 points, two 3-pointers, four rebounds and three assists in 25 minutes.
The good news is that his ankle injury doesn't seem like it will cause him to miss any games. The even better news is that he managed to shoot 8-of-14 from the field, flipping the script on his career 39.4 percent shooting. We'll need to see him do this again, and again, before we're convinced that his shooting woes are behind him.

Tue Oct 30 201221:52Jordan Crawford scores 11 in loss
Jordan Crawford came off the bench and hit just 4-of-13 shots to finish with 11 points, three rebounds, five assists, a steal and a block in Tuesday's loss to Cleveland.
He was 0-for-6 from downtown and his poor shooting percentage is one of the reasons he's coming off the bench. He will have some big games when he gets hot this season, but remains a borderline fantasy own in most leagues.

Sat Oct 20 201223:02Jordan Crawford scores 17 pts w/ three 3s
Jordan Crawford finished Saturday's game with 17 points, three 3-pointers, three rebounds, five assists and two steals in 20 minutes.
Can Crawford catch fire at any given moment? Yes, but he's also prone to extended cold spells, as exemplified by his career 39.4 percent shooting. And despite his voluminous 3-point attempts, he's even worse from deep, shooting 27.9 percent for his career. With Bradley Beal in town to challenge him for minutes and shots, there's not a lot to like about Crawford's role once John Wall returns in roughly late November.

Fri Oct 19 201213:53Wizards pick up Jordan Crawford's option
Wizards exercised the fourth-year option on Jordan Crawford's contract.
Crawford is going to have the green light to shoot it for the Wizards this season, and he's already earned the endorsement of Randy Wittman. However, he's got to improve both his shot selection and efficiency to mature as a player. He'll split time at SG with rookie Bradley Beal while also seeing some time at PG while John Wall is out.

Fri Oct 5 201215:17Jordan Crawford getting some time at PG
Jordan Crawford has been seeing some time at point guard during training camp.
Crawford is a natural gunner, not a point guard. But with John Wall (knee) sidelined, the Wizards are desperate. Getting Crawford and rookie Brad Beal on the floor together for stints will give them some much-needed scoring punch. Crawford, who has drawn heavy praise from coach Randy Wittman already, is a threat for 30 minutes per game early in the season.

Wed Sep 26 201220:50J. Crawford is ahead of Beal for starting job
Coach Randy Wittman said Jordan Crawford is ahead of Bradley Beal for the starting shooting guard job.
"Obviously Jordan has been here, has got a little bit of an advantage right now," Wittman said. Beal made the all-Summer League team with his 17.6 points per game and is a threat to take Crawford's starting gig to say the least. Both players have nice fantasy upsides since they shoot the three and should help in other categories as well. We'll keep an eye on this one.

Wed Apr 25 201218:14Jordan Crawford out Wednesday w/ sore ankle
Jordan Crawford (ankle) will not play on Wednesday.
Crawford made just 1-of-8 shots in 20 minutes on Monday, and he might as well rest with the Wizards bound for the draft lottery. In his absence, expect to see more of Shelvin Mack, Cartier Martin and even Morris Almond.

Mon Apr 23 201221:52Crawford hits 1-of-8 shots in blowout win
Jordan Crawford hit just 1-of-8 shots in the Wizards' 101-73 blowout win over the Bobcats on Monday, scoring two points with one assist and two steals in 20 minutes.
This is the danger of starting players against the Bobcats, but it's one that owners will have a hard time protecting against, nonetheless. The Wizards simply didn't need Crawford tonight, and John Wall picked up the slack accordingly with 16 points, five rebounds, 14 assists, and a block.
