Tue Dec 5 202315:32Kyrie Irving, Tim Hardaway Jr. Questionable Wednesday
Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving (foot) and forward Tim Hardaway Jr. (back) are both questionable for Wednesday against the Utah Jazz. Dallas would appear to have a good chance to get Irving and Hardaway back from their respective injuries, after the two sharpshooters were also at Monday's practice. Irving couldn't go for Saturday's game versus the Oklahoma City Thunder due to right foot soreness, but his presence at practice would suggest he's on the right side of the questionable tag for Wednesday. Fresh off a mammoth 36-point, 18-assist, and 15-rebound triple-double last Friday, Luka Doncic would have less on his plate if his running mate returns. Back spasms have held Hardaway out of the Mavs' latest two matchups, on the other hand, but the sharpshooting Seth Curry (12 points in 36 minutes Friday) would be safe to discard back to fantasy waiver wires if THJ gets the green light against Utah.

Mon Dec 4 202316:07Kyrie Irving, Tim Hardaway Jr. Both Practicing Monday
Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving (foot) and forward Tim Hardaway Jr. (back) participated in practice on Monday. Though role players Grant Williams (knee), Josh Green (elbow), and Maxi Kleber (toe) were all out of Monday's session, Dallas would seem to have a good opportunity to get Irving and Hardaway back from their respective injuries. Irving couldn't suit up for Saturday's game versus the Oklahoma City Thunder with right foot soreness, but his presence at practice would suggest he's on the right side of questionable for Wednesday's tilt vs. the Utah Jazz. Back spasms have kept Hardaway out of the Mavs' latest two contests, on the other hand, but he'll hope to rejoin head coach Jason Kidd's lineup alongside Irving against the Jazz. It remains to be seen if the two offensive-minded contributors are able to continue practicing ahead of Wednesday's action, but we'll keep a close eye on their statuses up until then.

Sat Dec 2 202320:23Kyrie Irving Ruled Out On Saturday
Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving (foot) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The superstar guard will take a seat alongside teammates Josh Green (elbow) and Tim Hardaway Jr. (back) on Saturday. This will leave the Mavs extremely shorthanded, so expect Luka Doncic to carry the offense. Also, Seth Curry and Jaden Hardy should see more minutes and expanded roles in the rotation. Both should be worth looking at as streaming options for Saturday.

Wed Nov 15 202318:09Kyrie Irving Taking A Seat Wednesday
Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving (foot) is out for Wednesday's game against the Washington Wizards. A left foot sprain will cost Irving his third contest of the campaign on the second end of a back-to-back set for Dallas. The 31-year-old superstar now sets his sights on Saturday's showdown with the Bucks in Milwaukee for a possible return. Irving is providing second-round numbers in 12-team 9-category leagues with 22.3 points, 6.7 assists, 2.8 triples, and 1.2 steals per game during his first full year in Dallas. Josh Green was the primary fantasy beneficiary when Kyrie missed Oct. 30 and Nov. 1, joining head coach Jason Kidd's starting lineup on those occasions. Wednesday's setting in Washington easily offers the highest implied point total (241.5) of the eight-game slate, making Luka Doncic a convincing bet to go off for one of his vintage performances.

Wed Nov 15 202315:37Kyrie Irving In Limbo Wednesday
Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving (foot) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Washington Wizards. A right foot sprain is the culprit for Irving's appearance on the injury report, which probably won't be the last time we'll see him on the list this year. It's the second night of a back-to-back set for the Mavs, so Dallas could keep him out against Washington as a form of load management. Josh Green was the closest thing to a direct fantasy beneficiary when the 31-year-old eight-time All-Star sat out on Oct. 30 and Nov. 1, after Green moved into head coach Jason Kidd's starting group in those instances. Wednesday's date with the Wizards easily boasts the highest implied point total (244.5) of the eight-game slate, so Luka Doncic could go nuclear if he's without Irving in an environment pitting two of the NBA's highest-paced offenses against each other.

Sun Nov 12 202323:18Kyrie Irving Drops 35 Points Against Pelicans
Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving had a field day during the team's 136-124 win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday. The All-Star guard finished with 35 points, seven assists, six rebounds, one block, and one turnover while shooting 13-for-20 from the floor and knocking down seven triples in the process. Irving couldn't be stopped no matter who guarded him and he didn't get to the line much either as he only shot and made two free throws in this contest. Whenever he's healthy, Irving is a threat to drop big points against any opponent.

Mon Nov 6 202318:14Kyrie Irving Will Play Against Magic
Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving has been upgraded to available on Monday night after head coach Jason Kidd said that he and Luka Doncic will both suit up for their game against the Orlando Magic. Irving should be deployed back into every fantasy manager's lineup now that he'll be playing. Doncic and Irving will likely put up some big stat lines to beat an upstart Magic squad currently sitting at fourth in the East. Since the superstar backcourt will be healthy and on the floor, Jaden Hardy and Dante Exum probably won't see enough minutes to be fantasy-relevant in shallow leagues.

Sat Nov 4 202321:00Kyrie Irving Tagged As Probable For Sunday
Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving (foot) is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Charlotte Hornets. The superstar guard is back on the injury report after playing on Friday. It appears he's dealing with a sprained right foot, but he should be able to play through the issue. Otherwise, Josh Green would likely shift into the starting five if Irving is unable to play. Green isn't a great streaming option even as a starter, so fantasy managers can probably find better value elsewhere.

Fri Nov 3 202316:36Kyrie Irving Upgraded To Available Against Nuggets
Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving (foot) is now available for the team's Friday night game against the Denver Nuggets. The superstar combo guard was originally questionable due to a left-foot sprain, but it looks like it's on the mend and he's expected to play. With Irving back, Josh Green would likely move back to the bench, but he'll continue to get north of 25 minutes, even from a reserve spot. Seth Curry and Jaden Hardy will take the biggest fantasy hit, as they both become un-startable, even in deeper leagues.

Wed Nov 1 202319:06Kyrie Irving Out Again Wednesday
Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving (foot) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Chicago Bulls, per head coach Jason Kidd. Irving's left foot sprain will sideline him once more after being out for Monday's contest against the Memphis Grizzlies. The 31-year-old offensive wizard, who should be deemed day-to-day unless we hear otherwise, will try to return for Friday's meeting with the Denver Nuggets. Luka Doncic has paced Dallas in points per game (39.0) rebounds (11.7) and assists (9.7), so the counting-stat machine will require DFS players to pay top dollar for him without his sidekick on Wednesday. Tim Hardaway Jr. and Josh Green represent some cost-cutting options on the packed 13-game slate.

Wed Nov 1 202315:57Kyrie Irving Unlikely To Return Against Bulls
Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving (foot) is doubtful for Wednesday's game against the Chicago Bulls. Irving is tending to a left foot sprain that kept him out of Monday's contest against the Memphis Grizzlies, and he looks likely to be held out for another one. The 31-year-old superstar is off to a slow start in the initial two games of his first full year in Dallas, averaging 19.5 points (39.0% shooting), 6.0 assists, and 4.5 rebounds in 35.0 minutes. Assuming Irving is ultimately downgraded to out on Wednesday, we'd consider him day-to-day ahead of Friday's clash with the Denver Nuggets. Luka Doncic has led the Mavs in the points, boards, and dimes categories in each of their first three games, so look for similar ridiculousness out of him for however long his running mate remains out. Tim Hardaway Jr. and Josh Green were the primary beneficiaries of Irving's absence on Monday.

Tue Oct 31 202321:56Kyrie Irving Tagged As Questionable For Wednesday
Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving (foot) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Chicago Bulls. The star guard was forced to miss their last game due to a left foot sprain. As a result, Josh Green moved into the starting five for that contest. The assumption is Green would start again if Irving is unable to play. He'd be a decent streaming option with extended run for Wednesday's slate. Fantasy managers will have to check back for another update on Irving's status.

Mon Oct 30 202318:58Kyrie Irving Won't Suit Up On Monday
Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving (foot) woke up with soreness in his left foot after their contest against Brooklyn, which is how he popped up on the injury report in the first place. Now head coach Jason Kidd says that Irving won't play altogether on Monday night. Against the Memphis Grizzlies, Luka Doncic will probably see a sky-high usage rate, while Tim Hardaway Jr. will seemingly move up into the starting spot. Hardaway has had a hot start to the season and serves as a good streaming option for threes, points, and a handful of rebounds and assists.

Mon Oct 30 202315:40Kyrie Irving Iffy On Monday
Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving (foot) is considered questionable for Monday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies with a left foot sprain. Irving appeared to come away fine health-wise from Friday's 125-120 win over his former Brooklyn Nets team, scoring 17 points on 17 shots with seven rebounds and six assists. Monday's affair is neither the first nor second part of a back-to-back set, so perhaps the eight-time All-Star has a decent chance to suit up. There's no indication he's dealing with an extended absence at this point. If Irving can't go, Luka Doncic would embrace all the usage he can handle while Tim Hardaway Jr. and Josh Green would occupy more time on the wings as possible DFS budget options on Monday's 11-game slate.

Tue Oct 17 202316:17Kyrie Irving Practices In Full Again
Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving (groin) was once more a full participant in Tuesday's practice. That marks two straight full sessions for Irving, whose groin soreness appears to be getting behind him. The 31-year-old superstar could be gearing up for Friday's possible tune-up game and preseason finale versus the Detroit Pistons, having not played since Dallas' preseason opener on Oct. 5. Irving is bound to shoulder an enormous amount of offensive responsibility in 2023-24 alongside Luka Doncic (calf), who is nursing a calf strain ahead of the regular season. If Doncic cannot get right for Oct. 25's opener, expect Irving to handle an extraordinary level of usage. Irving is a late-first-round fantasy proposition for those bold enough to take on the potential games-played risk.

Mon Oct 16 202316:05Kyrie Irving Returns To Full Practice
Dallas Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd said guard Kyrie Irving (groin) returned to practice as a full participant Monday. This is a very encouraging development for Irving, who was deemed out indefinitely with groin soreness ahead of last Tuesday's preseason game. Irving, who hasn't appeared since Oct. 5's preseason opener, appears ready to rock for the regular season, if not Friday's preseason finale versus the Detroit Pistons. The eight-time All-Star carries some games-played risk, having participated in 60 games or fewer in each of the past three seasons, but Irving also totes top-10 per-game upside with that caveat. Treat Irving as a late-first-round pick in rotisserie leagues and more of a second-rounder in head-to-head settings in upcoming fantasy drafts.

Sat Oct 7 202311:58Kyrie Irving Won't Play On Saturday
Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving (groin) won't play in Saturday's preseason game against the Timberwolves. The multi-time All-Star had a rough showing on Thursday in the first of back-to-back exhibition meetings with Minnesota, finishing with two points off a rough 1-for-6 shooting from the field while committing two turnovers in 14 minutes. Irving's left groin soreness may have been the cause for his woes on the offensive end in that one. At any rate, head coach Jason Kidd will understandably remain overly cautious regarding the former Brooklyn Net, meaning he might also miss Friday's preseason finale versus the Pistons. But the bigger question is if this injury will extend into the regular season. Although nothing suggests it will, it's still something for fantasy managers to monitor over the next few weeks.

Thu Oct 5 202318:55Kyrie Irving Struggles In Preseason Play
Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving had a rough showing in Thursday's exhibition loss to Minnesota in Abu Dhabi. Luka Doncic scored a game-high 25 points in this one. However, Irving struggled, going 1-for-6 from the field to finish with two points. The 31-year-old was traded to the Mavericks ahead of last season's deadline and averaged 27.0 points, 6.0 assists, and 5.0 rebounds while shooting 39.2% from deep in 20 games in Dallas. But Irving and Doncic had trouble forming a cohesive unit on the court, resulting in the Mavs' omission from the playoffs. Without question, the 2011 No. 1 overall pick is arguably the most naturally gifted player in the league. Irving can do good things for fantasy managers, although he'll need to stay out of trouble and remain healthy, which have both been issues in the past.

Fri Jun 30 202319:00Kyrie Irving Decides To Stay In Dallas
Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving will re-sign with the team on a big three-year, $126 million deal with a player option in the third season. After the 31-year-old seemed to be set for multiple visits with other title-contending rosters, Irving quickly re-ups with Dallas on the open market. The perennial All-Star banked 27.0 points, 6.0 assists, 2.9 threes, and 1.3 steals across 38.2 minutes per game with the Mavs last year. Irving returns to maintain an electric tandem with fellow superstar Luka Doncic as Dallas pushes for championship contention in the 2023-2024 campaign. Irving should be a top-notch fantasy option once again.

Fri Jun 30 202315:42Kyrie Irving Set To Meet With More Teams Outside Of Dallas
Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving seemed as though he was heading in the direction that kept him alongside Luka Doncic. That could quickly change as Bill Reiter of CBS Sports reports that four more teams will join the bidding contest for Irving outside of just Dallas and Phoenix. The Lakers, Clippers, Rockets, and Heat are all set to meet with the 31-year-old veteran once free agency starts to see if they could potentially attain his services. Irving is still going to be a big-time fantasy asset no matter where he goes next season.
