Fri Nov 29 201323:23Biyombo grabs 14 rebounds in win
Bismack Biyombo grabbed 14 rebounds in 20 minutes off the bench on Friday, and also chipped in with seven points and a block.
Biyombo wasn't the only one rebounding, as Al Jefferson had 12 of his own against a reeling Bucks squad. As long as Big Al is healthy, owners can treat this as a fluke and continue to ignore Biyombo.

Wed Nov 27 201322:45Biyombo returns, plays 11 minutes off bench
Bismack Biyombo returned from a DNP-CD to finish Wednesday's ugly loss with four points and four boards in 11 minutes.
He may have been a DNP-CD again had the score not gotten out of hand, and he's a fantasy-league pariah as long as Al Jefferson is healthy.

Fri Nov 15 201323:16Bismack Biyombo grabs 12 boards vs. Cavs
Bismack Biyombo failed to score against the Cavs on Friday, adding 12 boards and three blocks in 32 minutes.
The knock on him is that he doesn't have an offensive game, so the Bobcats gave him just one shot tonight. Biyombo could get another start on Saturday and owners that are looking for some blocks and boards in a pinch can think about spot-starting him.

Sat Nov 9 201302:33Biyombo grabs 11 rebounds in start
Bismack Biyombo started for injured Al Jefferson (ankle) in Friday's loss, scoring three points on free throws with 11 rebounds and a block in 26 minutes.
Biyombo has shown a small amount of improvement this season but he will lose the vast majority of his fantasy value when Jefferson returns.

Wed Nov 6 201322:30Bismack Biyombo nearly double-doubles
Bismack Biyombo had eight points, 11 rebounds and three blocks in another start for Al Jefferson (ankle) on Tuesday.
Biyombo is impossible to figure out, as he had a double-double last Friday and backed it up without a shot attempt in his next one. And with Al Jefferson certainly getting closer to a return, it's hard for us to recommend grabbing Biyombo in most leagues.

Sat Nov 2 201323:23Bismack Biyombo doesn't attempt a shot
Bismack Biyombo, who went off for 11 points and 10 boards on Friday, didn't attempt a shot on Saturday and finished an ugly loss with zero points, six rebounds and one block.
He's simply not an offensive player and Friday's game now looks a bit like a fluke. He started in place of injured Al Jefferson, but shouldn't be counted on for more than a few boards and blocks per night as long as Jefferson is in street clothes.

Fri Nov 1 201322:33Biyombo double-doubles in start for Big Al
Bismack Biyombo double-doubled in his start for injured Al Jefferson (ankle) on Friday, scoring 11 points on 5-of-6 shooting with 10 rebounds and two blocks in 37 minutes.
Biyombo showed off a few cool post moves and he has been a demon on the glass this season, giving the Bobcats some optimism about their depth down low. Once Jefferson returns, he will go back to a limited role off the bench but it will be interesting to see if he can steal away a minute or two from Big Al.

Thu Oct 31 201317:07Bismack Biyombo to stay w/ CHA through 2015
Bismack Biyombo had his 2014-15 contract option picked up by the Bobcats on Thursday.
Biyombo played 17 minutes in Wednesday's opener and is likely to see a reduced role with Al Jefferson in town, but Charlotte sees enough potential in their former No. 7 pick to pay him $3.9 million next year.

Fri Oct 25 201322:32Bismack Biyombo hauls in 20 rebounds
Bismack Biyombo hit just 2-of-10 shots for five points and didn't block a shot, but also racked up 20 rebounds against the Knicks in Friday's preseason finale.
Biyombo can rebound and block shots, but his offensive game is, well, offensive. He's been getting some serious run with Al Jefferson in street clothes, but will struggle to do much once Big Al is back in business. And he's expected to play on opening night.

Tue Oct 15 201321:49Bismack Biyombo plays well in another start
Bismack Biyombo started again for Al Jefferson (ankle) Tuesday and had five points, 11 rebounds and two blocks in 28 minutes.
This wasn't as good as his 21-rebound performance on Saturday, but is just another reminder that if Jefferson misses time in the regular season, Biyombo should be a decent source of boards and blocks.

Sat Oct 12 201323:00Biyombo grabs 21 rebounds in start at center
Bismack Biyombo started at center in Saturday's exhibition, snaring 21 rebounds to go along with nine points, two blocks and five turnovers.
He logged 37 minutes while Al Jefferson was absent with his sprained ankle in a protective boot. Biyombo would certainly have a big role if Jefferson misses regular season games, but his averages in 65 starts last year should make fantasy owners pause -- 5.0 points (including 51.6 percent FT shooting), 7.7 rebounds, 0.5 assists, 0.4 steals and 1.8 blocks. There should be blocks-specialists with a touch more upside late in most drafts.

Sat Oct 12 201301:45Biyombo could be needed if Big Al is hurt
Bismack Biyombo played 12 minutes in Friday's preseason loss, scoring six points with four rebounds and two blocks.
Biyombo missed his only field goal attempt but made all six of his free throws, but the story of the night for Charlotte was Al Jefferson's ankle injury. We're not entirely sure that Biyombo would be the direct beneficiary of any missed time, but if you're in a deeper league it's something to watch out for.

Tue Oct 1 201318:59Bismack Biyombo doesn't feel pressure
Bismack Biyomobo said he doesn't feel pressure from the team adding Al Jefferson and Cody Zeller this offseason.
"My job is the same as it was last year - be a defender, protect the paint, rebound, block shots. Nothing is going to change," Biyombo said. Well, he probably should feel a little pressure. Al Jefferson is going to get all the minutes he can handle while Zeller has been impressing enough to be considered as the starting power forward. The Bobcats knew that Biyombo was going to be a huge project, so hopefully they allow him to grow with the second unit.

Sat Apr 13 201321:55Bismack Biyombo grabs 17 rebounds in win
Bismack Biyombo tied his career-high with 17 rebounds in Saturday's rare victory, and he knocked down 6-of-9 field goals for 13 points.
BB also blocked two shots, but as usual his game had some glaring flaws -- he went without any assists or steals, he turned the ball over three times, and he was 1-of-5 at the FT line. The book on him hasn't changed all year, and he remains a viable option if you're solely targeting boards and blocks.

Tue Apr 9 201323:57Bismack Biyombo grabs 12 boards, 3 blocks
Bismack Biyombo hit just 1-of-7 shots for three points, but also had 12 rebounds and three more blocks in Tuesday's loss to the Grizzlies.
If you recently picked him up, you were simply looking for boards and blocks, and that's what you got. He should continue to put up solid numbers in both cats the rest of the way, and could be a valuable pickup if you need big-man stats.

Sat Apr 6 201322:40Bobcats fall despite Biyombo's double-double
The Bobcats fell on Saturday despite a solid game from Bismack Biyombo, who had 10 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks.
Biyombo finished with five fouls in 33 minutes. Anyone using him should be solely interested in boards and blocks, and tonight's line represents his statistical ceiling in 2012-13.

Sat Mar 30 201323:41Bismack Biyombo logs 42 minutes in defeat
Bismack Biyombo scored eight points, grabbed nine rebounds and blocked three shots in 42 minutes of action vs. the 76ers.
Playing time hasn't been an issue for Biyombo over the past few weeks, but he's still only worth a look for deep-league owners hunting boards and blocks. Everywhere else, his value is muted by minimal scoring, horrible FT percentages, and limited assists or steals.

Wed Mar 27 201322:36Bismack Biyombo coming on for Bobcats
Bismack Biyombo had 11 points, seven rebounds, a steal and three blocks in Wednesday's win over the battered Magic.
Biyombo gave up a career game to rookie Kyle O'Quinn, but appears to be coming on. In addition to tonight's solid line, Biyombo had 12 points, 10 boards and two blocks in his previous game, and two points, 11 boards and a block in the one prior to that.

Wed Mar 27 201308:20Bismack Biyombo feeling more comfortable
Bismack Biyombo is feeling more comfortable with his game and playing in the NBA.
"I'm patient with myself," he said. "From the starting point to where I am now, I'm a lot better," he said. Biyombo is still only 20 years old and has shown noticeable improvement from his rookie season despite shooting just 43.7 percent from the field. Biyombo has raised his free throw percentage 6.3 percent since last season, is rebounding at a higher clip and is fouling less frequently. "It's going to pay off. I can't project when, but I know it's going to happen."

Sat Mar 23 201322:53Bismack Biyombo notches 12 & 10 vs. Pistons
Bismack Biyombo racked up 12 points, 10 rebounds, one steal and two blocks in 35 minutes vs. the Pistons, marking his fourth double-double of the season.
Biyombo also made 3-of-3 FGs and 6-of-6 FTs, adding a surreal vibe to his impressive evening. He has a long way to go offensively, to be kind, but he's shown incremental improvement while playing in all but two games this season. With 6.8 rebounds and 1.7 blocks in 26 minutes per game, the Bobcats' 20-year-old big man still has tantalizing upside.
