Morris was hot early and it was clear they saw all they needed from him in this meaningless game. With the departures of Gerald Green and Maurice Morris, Markieff will likely have to carry more of the offensive load and that should be no problem for a player of his ability. Foul trouble kept him from reaching his full potential from last season and he could become even better this year.

Morris will play in Wednesday's preseason opener, Paul Coro of AZ Central reports.

Morris has been hampered by a nagging hip issue for the last few days, and he missed Saturday's intrasquad scrimmage. The embattled forward returned to practice Tuesday, however, and has been given full clearance to play Wednesday night.

At Monday's media day, Morris declined to talk about his issues with the Suns' front office this offseason, Paul Coro of AZCentral.com reports. "I want to be here," Morris told reporters.

It's difficult to discern whether Morris' comments were genuine, especially considering the vehement nature of his trade demands over the summer. As recently as earlier this month, Morris was adamant that he wouldn't play for Phoenix this season, tweeting on September 4 that his "future will not be in Phoenix." Upset with the team's decision to trade his twin brother, Marcus, to the Pistons earlier this offseason, Morris apparently felt betrayed by the organization. It's unclear whether the two sides have made amends, but at this point it appears Morris will be present when training camp gets underway.

Morris took to Twitter Thursday to reiterate his desire to be out of Phoenix by the start of the season. "My future will not be in Phoenix", Morris tweeted.

The long-winded battle between Morris and the Suns continues, which all stemmed from the Suns' trade of Markieff's twin brother, Marcus, to the Pistons. Morris, Markieff that is, is upset that the Suns traded Marcus without his consent. The twins took less-than-market-value contracts with the Suns just last year in order to remain together. Now that Marcus is gone, Markieff has vowed that he will not be in Suns' uniform this season. He is under contract through the 2018-19 season with Phoenix, and the Suns have yet to show any interest in granting a trade. This means things could get ugly and definitely more bizarre once the season gets underway. Morris averaged 15.3 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.2 steals, and 0.7 three-pointers in 32 minutes per game for 82 regular season games last season. He was a solid fantasy option last season, but if he does move from Phoenix his value could go down.

Morris is demanding a trade out of Phoenix, the Philadelphia Inquirer's Keith Pompey reports. "One thing for sure, I am not going to be there," Morris said Tuesday.

Of course, the Suns do not have to trade Morris, who signed a four-year, $32 million extension with the Suns last September, but he sounds pretty motivated to get dealt. This all stems from his twin brother, Marcus, being traded to the Pistons without his consent after the twins each took less than market value to remain on the same team. It's all very bizarre, and another aspect of the shaky relationship between player and team is that the twins are accused of two counts of felony aggravated assault stemming from an incident at a Phoenix recreation center in January. It is hard to envision a better fantasy situation for Morris than the one in Phoenix, where he would be the go-to option in the frontcourt, so any trade would probably slightly hurt his value.

Morris averaged 15.3 points (47% FG, 32% 3Pt, 76% FT), 0.7 three-pointers, 2.3 assists, 6.2 rebounds, and 1.2 steals in 32 minutes per game for 82 regular season games in 2014-15.

Morris was a solid fantasy option in 2014-15, finishing as the 40th ranked player in eight-category leagues. Owners should keep an eye on his offseason situation, though, as he and his brother Marcus are in the midst of an aggravated assault charge. If the court finds the Morris brothers guilty, then both could face suspensions, which would certainly impact their respective fantasy values for 2015-16.

Morris and his twin brother have both been charged with felony aggravated assault stemming from an incident at a Phoenix recreation center in January, ESPN reports.

The twins, along with three other men, allegedly assaulted a 36-year-old man who had apparently sent "inappropriate text messages" to the Morris' mother. At this point, it's too early to speculate what may become of this situation, but the brothers' first court day is scheduled for May 7, at which point more information should be available.

Morris grabbed a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds in 29 minutes of action Friday against the Pelicans.

Morris is averaging 13.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 3.8 assists over the last five games. He hasn't been getting many steals -- just 0.6 spg compared to his season average of 1.3. This shouldn't worry owners though, as Morris has been known to be a streaky player. He should be owned in most leagues.

Morris scored 19 points (7-16 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 5-5 FT) with six rebounds, seven assists and one steal in 39 minutes during Wednesday's loss to the Mavericks.

Owners will take that line from Morris after a couple of quiet games. He has not quite lived up to his pre-season hype and will be a mid-round option again going into next season.

Morris posted 15 points, nine rebounds, one assist, and one steal in 37 minutes of action Friday against the Blazers.

Morris is averaging 18.4 points, 8.4 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.2 steals over the last five games. He's been a solid fantasy player all season, and his heightened performance of late could be a result of synergy co-starting with his win brother. That being said, both are worth owning in most leagues at this point.

Morris scored 24 points (9-16 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 5-6 FT) with seven rebounds, four assists, one block and two steals in 38 minutes during Wednesday's loss to the Kings.

After a mid season slump, Morris has picked up his scoring to 17.1 points per game during March, his highest monthly split. Unfortunately, his value is still capped by his lack of rebounds and average field goal percentage.
