Wed Jan 29 201410:2776ers coach second-guessing rotations
76ers coach Brett Brown admitted that his rotations might be different "if this weren't the year of development and trying to uncover things."
"Mine might not be the best way of doing things," Brown said. "The rotations are always a mystery. I'm always second-guessing it ... I'm going to end [games] with the best players who are playing well that night - whether that's Lavoy [Allen] or Tony [Wroten], or whatever." The Sixers defense has been particularly bad and it's not clear that they have the personnel to drastically improve, so we can expect more and more experimentation from Brown in the second half of the season.

Sat Jan 25 201422:32Tony Wroten back in action for Sixers
Tony Wroten returned from an ankle injury on Saturday and had nine points and two assists in 17 minutes.
The ankle injury, which kept him out for three games, really derailed him and we see no reason to own him currently. But if he gets hot, or Michael Carter-Williams goes down, be ready to pounce.

Sat Jan 25 201418:45Tony Wroten (ankle) ready to go vs. Thunder
Tony Wroten (ankle) will return to action vs. the Thunder on Saturday.
Elliot Williams should see his role decline with Wroten back in action, but this won't have significant fantasy implications while Michael Carter-Williams is healthy.

Fri Jan 24 201417:27Tony Wroten (ankle) out for couple more days
Coach Brett Brown said on Friday Tony Wroten (ankle) is going to be out for a couple more days.
That would rule him out for Friday and likely Saturday against the Thunder. According to Brown, Wroten did "a few things" at Friday's shootaround. The Sixers will give his minutes to James Anderson, Elliot Williams and Hollis Thompson, but Anderson is really the only player worth using in most formats.

Fri Jan 24 201411:37Tony Wroten a game-time call Friday
Tony Wroten (ankle) is a game-time decision for Friday's matchup against the Raptors.
The swelling is down in Wroten's ankle and he's out of his walking boot. If he returns, James Anderson's minutes figure to take a hit. Coach Brett Brown had been experimenting with playing Wroten and Michael Carter-Williams together some before the sprain.

Wed Jan 22 201418:16Tony Wroten won't play vs. the Knicks Wed.
Tony Wroten (ankle) will not play against the Knicks on Wednesday night.
He was unlikely to go and this will be his second game out of the lineup. Elliot Williams and Hollis Thompson should get some extra minutes, but neither are on the radar in almost any fantasy league.

Wed Jan 22 201412:07Tony Wroten (ankle) doubtful on Wednesday
Tony Wroten (ankle) is "highly unlikely" to play vs. the Knicks on Wednesday.
He already said that he won't return until he's 100 percent recovered, and owners can safely assume that he's out vs. the Knicks. With Michael Carter-Williams running out of steam in recent games, Lorenzo Brown may get solid minutes as Philly's reserve PG.

Tue Jan 21 201410:53Tony Wroten not rushing ankle injury
Tony Wroten (ankle) isn't planning on rushing back.
Wroten is feeling better, but doesn't want to rush back after injuring his ankle during Saturday's loss to Chicago. "I don't want to rush any injury," Wroten said. "It's a long season. A sprained ankle, if you don't take care of it, it can go on long in your career. So I'm just taking my time and waiting until I'm back 100 percent." Wroten is still wearing a walking boot and getting repetitive treatment, so it could be at least a few days until we see Wroten on the court again. Hollisa Thompson, Elliot Williams, and Lorenzo Brown will pick up more minutes in his absence.

Mon Jan 20 201418:45Tony Wroten doesn't have a timetable
Tony Wroten said after Monday's game that he doesn't have a timetable to return from his ankle sprain.
He could barely put weight on his right leg as he exited the game against the Bulls on Saturday. The Sixers almost never play their guys at less than 100 percent, and Wroten backed that up with his statement after Monday's game. "An ankle is something you don't want to rush," Wroten said. "I just want to take my time & wait till it's 100 percent." Elliot Williams and Hollis Thompson will pick up some extra playing time.

Mon Jan 20 201411:07Tony Wroten (ankle) doubtful on MLK Day
Tony Wroten (right ankle) is listed as doubtful for Monday's game in Washington.
He turned his ankle badly on Saturday and needed two teammates to help him into the locker room, so this update comes as no surprise. Elliot Williams and Lorenzo Brown will each pick up more minutes until Wroten is ready to return.

Sat Jan 18 201420:46Tony Wroten exits with ankle injury vs. CHI
Tony Wroten suffered an apparent left ankle sprain in the second quarter of Saturday's game.
He had the training staff look at his foot after stepping on Nazr Mohammed's foot. Wroten attacks the basket a lot and puts himself at risk and hopefully he'll be fine. If he can't go, Elliot Williams and Hollis Thompson might pick up some extra playing time.

Fri Jan 17 201422:23Tony Wroten scores a team-high 13
Tony Wroten scored a team-high 13 points off the bench on Friday with three boards, three assists, two steals, one block and one 3-pointer in 26 minutes.
In usual Wroten fashion, he shot 4-of-13 from the field and 4-of-8 from the line. Wroten took a tumble in this game during the fourth quarter, but did not miss time. His terrible percentages make it tough to own him in standard leagues.

Mon Jan 13 201409:5276ers bench a concern for coach Brett Brown
76ers coach Brett Brown pointed to his inexperienced bench as a cause of Philly's current four-game losing streak.
"You look at the age and the resum‚ of our bench, and let's just start there," Brown said. "That's not an insult. That's just the truth ... We have inexperienced players. We're trying to identify and polish up our key players, and apply resum‚, experience and payroll to our bench, and you see that's always a challenge." Tony Wroten leads all of Philly's reserves, scoring 11.0 points as a reserve this season, and no cavalry is coming beyond big men Lavoy Allen (calf) and Arnett Moultrie (ankle).

Fri Jan 10 201421:45Tony Wroten returns, plays 21 minutes
Tony Wroten played 21 minutes in his return from an illness on Friday with five points, two boards, three assists, one steal, two blocks and four turnovers.
He shot 1-of-6 from the field and 3-of-6 from the line in a very inefficient offensive game. The Sixers made a change to their rotation tonight with James Anderson joining the starting unit, but Wroten's role should remain the same. He's only worth owning in deeper leagues until he can shoot better percentages or Michael Carter-Williams misses time.

Fri Jan 10 201417:24Tony Wroten is available for Friday
Tony Wroten (illness) is available to play against the Pistons on Friday.
He sat out two games earlier this week due to an illness, but was back at practice on Thursday. Wroten has been logging a lot more playing time next to Michael Carter-Williams and could maintain a secondary role off the bench while the Sixers are healthy. His inefficiency at the line and from the floor keep his fantasy upside low, though.

Thu Jan 9 201414:37Tony Wroten (illness) back at 76ers' practice
Tony Wroten resumed practicing on Thursday after missing a few days with migraines and an illness.
His return prompted Philly to send reserve PG Lorenzo Brown to the D-League, and it seems as though Wroten will be ready to roll vs. the Pistons on Friday.

Tue Jan 7 201418:01Tony Wroten (flu) didn't travel for Tue. game
Tony Wroten (flu) did not travel with the 76ers to Cleveland for Tuesday's game.
Lorenzo Brown figures to play more in his absence, as will James Anderson and starting SG Hollis Thompson. Wroten should be recovered in time for Friday's home game vs. the Pistons.

Mon Jan 6 201417:28Tony Wroten (illness) won't play on Monday
Tony Wroten will not play against the Wolves due to flu-like symptoms and a migraine.
He has been getting more minutes and even playing more shooting guard next to Michael Carter-Williams, so this is a little disappointing to see he won't be able to carry his momentum in a home game after a four-game road trip. The Sixers will likely use more James Anderson and Hollis Thompson tonight. Wroten should be considered questionable for Tuesday's game vs. the Cavs.

Sun Jan 5 201401:41Tony Wroten plays 26 minutes vs. Blazers
Tony Wroten played 26 minutes against the Blazers on Saturday, scoring 12 points with three boards, three assists, one steal and two turnovers.
The Wroten-Michael Carter-Williams backcourt is building up some momentum after Wroten's 31-minute game on Thursday. The only problem is Wroten can't shoot the ball well, making only 42 percent from the field and 58 percent from the line on the season, so he'll have a tough time becoming a real fantasy asset in standard leagues. Although, Michael Carter-Williams had a head injury and Wroten's prospective owners would get a little bonus.

Fri Jan 3 201402:45Tony Wroten scores 21 off Sixers bench
Tony Wroten came off the bench to hit 6-of-13 shots and a 3-pointer on his way to 21 points, four rebounds, three assists and a steal as the Sixers beat the Kings for their third straight win.
Wroten had scored eight or fewer points in three of his previous four games and got some extra opportunity with Michael Carter-Williams struggling tonight. He's not worth starting in fantasy right now, but holding him as MCW insurance makes a ton of sense.
