Sat Mar 8 201422:32Tony Wroten blows up for 30 points in loss
Tony Wroten got hot and hit 12-of-15 shots for 30 points, one assist and four steals off the bench on Saturday.
Wroten is hot again, despite coming off the bench, averaging 16.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.8 steals on 47 percent shooting over his last five games. However, he's gone cold from downtown, hitting just 1-of-9 3-pointers over that stretch.

Sat Mar 1 201422:44Tony Wroten scores team-high 19 points
Tony Wroten scored a team-high 19 points during Saturday's 122-103 loss to the Wizards to go with three boards, two assists, one steal and one block in 27 minutes.
Wroten's style had won over the heart of coach Brett Brown because he will attack the basket no matter what the defense looks like. It's led to Wroten taking 12.6 shots per game over his last five, averaging 17.2 points, 3.4 boards, 2.0 assists, 0.6 blocks and 0.8 steals on 46.0 percent from the field and 70.0 percent from the line in that stretch. If he can hold those percentages, he would become a must-own player. Of course, that's a big if.

Fri Feb 28 201411:09Brett Brown doesn't like Wroten's defense
Coach Brett Brown ripped into Tony Wroten's defense Thursday.
"You've been AAU, and that's not a good thing," Brown told the 20-year-old Wroten. It's one of the reasons he's not going to start at shooting guard as the Sixers turn to a bigger lineup featuring Michael Carter-Williams, James Anderson, Hollis Thompson, Thad Young and Henry Sims. Wroten is a scorer off the bench. "I don't see him having that foundation, and it's up to me to create that," Brown said on Wroten's defense. Look for him to hover around 24-28 minutes the rest of the way.

Wed Feb 26 201421:59Tony Wroten scores 15 off Sixers bench
Tony Wroten hit 4-of-9 shots and 7-of-9 free throws for 15 points, five rebounds and two blocks in 26 minutes off the Sixers bench on Wednesday.
He had been starting but the Sixers mixed up their lineup tonight. Wroten is still worth holding, as he's one of their best scorers, while Eric Maynor (13 points) and Elliot Williams (4 points) also came off the bench and each played 18 minutes.

Wed Feb 26 201418:18Tony Wroten coming off the bench on Wed.
Tony Wroten will come off the bench on Wednesday vs. the Magic.
The move makes sense for the Sixers because Wroten's skill set translates nicely to being a sixth man. Wroten looks like a lock for about 30 minutes per night, which should allow him to score in the teens with some steals and treys. If you don't care much about percentages, he's worth owning in all standard leagues.

Mon Feb 24 201422:50Wroten scores 19 points with five assists
Tony Wroten scored 19 points on 9-of-15 shooting with two rebounds, five assists and one steal in Monday's blowout loss to the Bucks.
Wroten hit 1-of-1 free throws and that's a huge win for him. When blessed with a high workload like the 30 minutes he got tonight, he has been able to turn around a late-round value based on solid popcorn numbers and terrible shooting percentages.

Mon Feb 24 201419:13Update: Tony Wroten is starting on Monday
Tony Wroten is starting on Monday night vs. the Bucks,
They had Elliot Williams listed as the starter and made the switch at tip. Wroten could have himself a nice game tonight, but he's a dicey play in standard leagues for his sub-par shooting percentages.

Mon Feb 24 201417:34Tony Wroten to play more minutes at SG
Tony Wroten will be used off the ball on Monday night vs. the Bucks.
This is actually an encouraging sign for Wroten's playing time. Before Friday, he rarely played next to Michael Carter-Williams and now he might get most of his minutes in that role. He's an interesting add in some league as long as his potential owners are aware of his troublesome percentages.

Fri Feb 21 201422:46Tony Wroten takes 14 shots for Philly
Tony Wroten shot 6-of-14 from the field for 21 points with four boards, two assists, one steal and five turnovers in 29 minutes against the Mavericks on Friday.
He was very aggressive tonight and got to the 13 times, making nine of them. While Wroten is going to get more playing time, he has one of the ugliest free throw strokes in the NBA and it's led to him shooting 62 percent from the line on the year. He's also going to shoot more of those, so he might be the worst guard for free throw percentage. If you don't care about that, he's worth owning in standard leagues.

Fri Feb 21 201418:02Tony Wroten coming off the bench
Tony Wroten is expected to come off the bench on Friday.
There are some conflicting reports on the starting lineups right now and the probables have Elliot Williams in there. It makes a little more sense to put Wroten in as a backup to Michael-Carter Williams, but coach Brett Brown could use Lorenzo Brown in that role. We'll add another update once the official starters are named.

Thu Feb 20 201417:51Tony Wroten's playing time with MCW a bit low
Of Tony Wroten's 21.5 minutes per game in his last 12 games, 7.3 of them have been next to Michael Carter-Williams.
Wroten returned from an ankle sprain back on Jan. 25 and coach Brett Brown has kept his minutes next to MCW fairly consistent, putting the pair on the court for 7.4 minutes per game on the season. Carter-Williams is a worse shooter next to Wroten and isn't really better in any other area, so it's looking a little unlikely for Brown to alter how he uses the two even with the loss of two of his starters on Thursday. Plus, Wroten is not a very good shooter from the field or from the line, which means there's not enough upside to add him in most formats.

Thu Feb 13 201402:13Tony Wroten fails to score in loss to Jazz
Tony Wroten played 18 minutes and failed to score on Wednesday.
Most of his teammates were actually productive tonight, and Wroten took a back seat to MCW and James Anderson, who both played very well in another loss. Wroten scored a team-high 21 points on Sunday, but has struggled since. And as long as the two starting guards are hot, it will be tough for Wroten to break through.

Mon Feb 10 201400:15Tony Wroten scores team-high 21 points
Tony Wroten scored a team-high 21 points off the bench during Sunday's ugly loss, making 7-of-11 field goals and 7-of-9 free throws.
He added three rebounds, two assists and three steals in 23 minutes of action. Wroten is averaging just 27 minutes in February yet he's compiled impressive averages of 18.2 points on 54.2 percent shooting, 3.6 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.2 steals. Just as important is his improved shooting at the FT line, as the slashing guard is 38-of-46 from the stripe since returning from an ankle injury. Unfortunately, as long as Michael Carter-Williams is healthy it's hard to recommend Wroten as more than a deep-league option.

Fri Feb 7 201422:49Wroten scores 16 points with four boards
Tony Wroten scored 16 points off the bench on Friday, hitting 6-of-9 shots (including a 3/4 court three) with four rebounds and four turnovers in 18 minutes.
Wroten had goose eggs everywhere else and even his 3-pointer was fluky so this was not a good game from a fantasy standpoint. He has to put up big popcorn numbers to offset his shooting issues, primarily.

Wed Feb 5 201422:29Tony Wroten stays hot against Celtics
Tony Wroten scored 18 points for the third straight game on Wednesday, adding four assists, a steal and a 3-pointer on 5-of-13 shooting.
Wroten is hot again and was helped by James Anderson playing limited minutes with a back contusion tonight. It sounds like Anderson is OK, but Wroten is playing well enough to be owned in most leagues right now.

Mon Feb 3 201422:31Tony Wroten scores 18 points off bench
Tony Wroten scored 18 points off the bench against the Nets on Monday with six boards, three assists one steal and four turnovers in 25 minutes.
He was up to his usual attacking ways tonight and went right at the Nets in transition. Wroten has been effective off the bench for the most part and seems to be improving, but his sub-par shooting percentages basically negate his output in points, assists and steals. He's only an option in deeper leagues while Michael Carter-Williams is healthy.

Sat Feb 1 201422:43Tony Wroten plays well in start for MCW
Tony Wroten started in place of injured Michael Carter-Williams (shoulder, day-to-day) on Saturday and had 18 points, three rebounds, five assists and a steal on 8-of-19 shooting Saturday.
He's no longer worth starting on nights when MCW is playing, mainly due to James Anderson getting a lot of minutes at shooting guard, but any time MCW is out, Wroten is a nice (cheap) option at point guard.

Sat Feb 1 201418:48Tony Wroten getting the start for MCW
Tony Wroten will get the start against the Pistons on Saturday.
He will take over for Michael Carter-Williams (shoulder). Wroten has been very active in his 11 starts this season, averaging 18.4 points, 4.8 boards, 5.3 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.1 triples. He's not exactly a percentage dynamo, but he's worth owning in all standard leagues while MCW is out of the lineup.

Sat Feb 1 201414:4176ers hope Tony Wroten can improve PG skills
The 76ers are hopeful that Tony Wroten can improve his point guard skills and mentality.
"We know he can get to the rim, but you have to grow to make other people better," said coach Brett Brown. "We challenge him always. You're more than just an attack guy at the rim." Wroten's ankle isn't 100 percent healthy and he's in the midst of a slump, shooting just 8-of-33 from the field in the past four games, and there's no reason to approach him in standard fantasy formats.

Sat Feb 1 201400:15Wroten hits just 1-of-13 shots in blowout
Tony Wroten hit just 1-of-13 shots (4-of-4 FTs) for six points, one rebound, three assists and one steal in 19 minutes off the bench on Friday.
Wroten might have been a speculative add earlier in the week but he has really hit a wall and owners can do better at this time. He won't be this bad going forward, but he needs to at least ascend to the level of sixth man to provide any real value.
