Thu Nov 29 201202:27Alexey Shved scores 17 points in loss
Alexey Shved saw his name constantly butchered by Clippers broadcasters Mike Smith and Ralph Lawler on Wednesday, and came through with 17 points and three 3-pointers in 36 minutes.
Shved hit 5-of-12 shots and 4-of-4 free throws tonight, and played very well in the absence of Andrei Kirilenko. He came in having scored nine or less points in four straight games, but if you've still got him on your roster, you'll want to hang onto Shved after this performance.

Sat Nov 24 201202:22Alexey Shved plays just 16 minutes Friday
Alexey Shved saw just 16 minutes off the bench on Friday, finishing with four points, two boards and three assists on 1-of-5 shooting.
Malcolm Lee is starting at shooting guard and Josh Howard is starting to play well, both of which are bad news for Shved. Don't give up on him just yet, but unless the Wolves suffer another guard injury in the near future, he's going to struggle to produce with consistency.

Thu Nov 22 201200:37Shved scores eight points against Nuggets
Alexey Shved scored eight points off the bench on Wednesday against the Nuggets, hitting 3-of-9 shots (including two threes) with two rebounds and three assists in 21 minutes.
With Kevin Love's surprising return and the returns of J.J. Barea and Nikola Pekovic, Shved's production naturally took a hit. He still has a lot of upside playing in an injury-prone backcourt, but it looks like we've officially hit the 'stash period' in his timeline. If owners can get low-end production during that time, it will be nice surprise but not something to bank on.

Fri Nov 16 201222:06Shved w/ 18 points, six assists so far in Q4
Alexey Shved has 18 points on 6-of-11 shooting (including three treys) with two rebounds and six assists in 27 minutes halfway through the fourth quarter on Friday.
Shved is a solid player and, most importantly, he's not an injury risk amidst a backcourt full of them. It was also curious that Rick Adelman had an odd exchange in pregame in which he said that J.J. Barea would be out for "the year," and then corrected himself to say "the month" -- which is longer than the day-to-day designation Barea has had all week. Jerry Zgoda, the reporter that covered the exchange has declined to comment, which is strange because this seems like a bigger piece of news. If Barea misses any amount of time then Shved will almost certainly hold late-round value, and his upside is tremendous to go with a decent amount of risk.

Wed Nov 14 201223:47Alexey Shved scores 13 off bench
Alexey Shved came off the bench for 13 points, two rebounds, two assists and a 3-pointer in 23 minutes on Wednesday.
He's a popular fantasy pick up right now with Brandon Roy out with a knee injury, and could continue to see heavy minutes for the injury depleted Wolves. Give him a look if you've got a player you want to drop.

Tue Nov 13 201202:59Shved steps up for injury riddled backcourt
Alexey Shved scored 16 points off the bench for the Wolves' injury-riddled backcourt on Monday, hitting 3-of-12 shots (1-of-6 from deep, 9-of-11 from the line) with four rebounds, five assists, and three blocks in 33 minutes.
We have no doubt about his ability to play or put up numbers if given the minutes, but that's the rub. As a short-term play he might have some legs even with Brandon Roy and J.J. Barea set to return Wednesday, because Roy is a total question mark and Barea might be eased in, too. Over the long haul, a pickup of Shved represents that owners think the injury-risk group of Luke Ridnour, Roy, Ricky Rubio, and to some degree Barea is going to hit the infirmary. That makes Shved a stash for those taking a calculated risk.

Sat Nov 10 201222:42Alexey Shved may be in line for heavy minutes
Wolves rookie Alexey Shved logged 26 minutes off the bench vs. Chicago, finishing with seven points, five rebounds and six assists.
Shved wouldn't typically be worth a mention, but he warrants some attention this week -- the Wolves are running out of healthy guards with Brandon Roy, J.J. Barea and Chase Budinger all uncertain to play in Dallas on Monday.

Sat Nov 10 201204:47Shved runs the pick-and-roll well on Friday
Alexey Shved scored 11 points on 4-of-8 shooting (0-for-3 from deep) with three rebounds, seven assists, and one block in 21 minutes off the bench on Friday.
Shved is an interesting character after displaying his skills during the Olympics, his recent strong play, and Brandon Roy's somewhat mysterious knee status. With J.J. Barea (ankle) also out, Shved is working in a pretty optimal environment right now, and owners should consider what things will look like if and when the Wolves are at full strength before making an add. In the long-term, we're pretty sure we'll be calling Shved's name at some point.

Tue Nov 6 201200:16Shved helps key comeback win for Wolves
Alexey Shved helped key the Wolves' late comeback win on Monday, scoring 10 points on 3-of-8 shooting (including two threes) with two rebounds, three assists, and a steal in 18 minutes off the bench.
We've long had our eye on Shved but a clogged backcourt will make it difficult for him to have any consistent fantasy value. In a very deep league, he could be worth a stash, but for now owners can just consider this to be a positive notch on his belt.

Sun Nov 4 201220:43Alexey Shved looks good in extended run
Alexey Shved stepped into a bigger role after J.J. Barea's concussion on Sunday, finishing with eight points, four rebounds, four assists and one steal in 22 minutes.
Barea's concussion is considered "mild" and we don't expect him to be out very long, but Shved should at least get more playing time on Monday.

Wed Oct 24 201208:22Alexey Shved to get 'significant' SG minutes
Alexey Shved "figures to get significant minutes" at SG behind Brandon Roy.
Shved has great size and can play either guard position, and Roy's long-term health is still a question mark at this stage of his comeback. Shved will need to put on some weight to defend bigger guys at the SG position, and he knows it. "For sure, I need to up my kilos."
