He is dealing with a foot injury, but is believed to be asymptomatic. Kelly will join the Lakers at training camp and will attempt to make the final 15. The Duke product is more of a stretch four and can shoot, but his defense needs work. He's off the fantasy radar. |

He has continued to have problems with his right foot since his surgery in April. Kelly's slow recovery may have been the catalyst for the Lakers recently signing both Marcus Landry and Shawne Williams. When he was drafted, he looked like a good fit for D'Antoni's offense, but this foot injury should give fantasy owners reason to be skeptical of his value. |

Lakers rookie Ryan Kelly has been slow to recover from multiple foot surgeries and the Lakers don't expect him to be ready for the start of training camp. |
They are also reportedly "discouraged" with his progress this summer, which is important because the Lakers are already so thin at small forward. That raises the question of whether or not they'll go after Michael Beasley, who was waived by the Suns earlier on Tuesday. Either way, it appears that Kelly's NBA career has gotten off on the wrong foot (literally), and we see no reason to draft him this year, even in deeper formats. |

Ryan Kelly is still dealing with a foot injury and has started working on his dribbling and shooting. |
He was taken with the 48th pick in the draft and doesn't project to see many minutes with the Lakers. Kelly has legitimate NBA range, but he'll likely have to develop other areas of his game this year. |
