Fri Jan 24 201422:00Kelly scores 15 points with two threes
Ryan Kelly scored 15 points on 5-of-8 shooting (2-of-3 from deep, 3-of-3 from the line) with three rebounds, two assists and one block over 30 minutes in another start at power forward on Friday.
Kelly is custom-built for Mike D'Antoni and as long as he's not getting totally toasted on the defensive side and on the glass then he has a shot at sticking in his current role, for now. When Kobe Bryant and others return, all bets are off.

Thu Jan 23 201422:40Ryan Kelly gets 26 minutes vs. Miami
Ryan Kelly played 26 minutes in his third consecutive start at power forward on Thursday, scoring seven points with five boards, two assists, one steal and one 3-pointer on 3-of-10 from the field.
He brought the ball up a little bit tonight and he's seemed to gain some of coach Mike D'Antoni's trust. D'Antoni did give Jordan Hill a little more burn in the loss, but Kelly should still be able to hold fantasy value at around 26 minutes per night.

Mon Jan 20 201423:34Ryan Kelly scores 13 in another start
Ryan Kelly started at power forward again for the Pacers on Monday and had 13 points, seven rebounds and a 3-pointer on 4-of-9 shooting in 35 minutes.
It's impossible to guess how long Kelly will start for Mike D'Antoni, but as long as it's happening, Kelly is worth a look in many leagues.

Sun Jan 19 201415:43Ryan Kelly scores 17 points in 37 minutes
Ryan Kelly scored 17 points in 37 minutes of action against the Raptors on Sunday, adding five boards, two assists, two steals and one 3-pointer.
He made his first four shots from the field and was actually a nice complement to Pau Gasol. Kelly made a name for himself last year at Duke for some lights-out shooting, which is right up coach Mike D'Antoni's alley as a stretch four. Of course, Kelly has struggled a lot on the defensive end. D'Antoni changes his lineups more than he changes his socks, but Kelly is a decent pickup after a nice game like this one.

Sun Jan 19 201412:44Ryan Kelly likely to be getting more minutes
In a recent interview Mike D'Antoni was complimentary of Ryan Kelly's play and suggested that he's in line for more minutes.
"He'll have to get used to playing every night and more minutes," said D'Antoni. It's no secret that coach D'Antoni prefers stretch fours over the traditional big men, and quotes like this are encouraging to hear. Kelly is coming off a career high 20-point game, and makes for a decent speculative add. Just know that D'Antoni is anything but consistent with his rotations, and while Kelly had a nice outing in his last game, he is shooting just 38.5 percent on the season.

Sat Jan 18 201417:02Ryan Kelly starts at PF, Jordan Hill to bench
Lakers rookie Ryan Kelly will start at PF vs. the Raptors on Sunday, sending Jordan Hill back to the bench.
Hill played just 11 minutes on Friday, while Kelly blew up for a career-best 20 points, two 3-pointers, four rebounds and one block in 34 minutes off the bench. Fantasy owners should approach him warily, however, as Mike D'Antoni's lineup change with the wind and Kelly is shooting just 38.5 percent from the field this season (including 29.0 percent from downtown). Deep league owners may want to pounce on him but everyone else can take a wait-and-see approach.

Thu Jan 16 201401:35Kelly plays career-high 31 minutes in loss
Ryan Kelly played a career-high 31 minutes in Wednesday's loss, scoring nine points on 3-of-7 shooting (including a three) with seven rebounds, two steals and three blocks.
Obviously the defensive numbers stand out but it's hard to see him getting anywhere close to this much playing time or production if Nick Young isn't ejected. Add in all of the returning players over the next few weeks and there is very little to grab onto here, even if he is a good fit for Mike D'Antoni's offense and is somebody to watch with the Lakers out of contention.

Wed Jan 1 201401:25Ryan Kelly plays career-high 19 minutes
Ryan Kelly played a career-high 19 minutes against the Bucks on Tuesday, scoring six points with three boards, one assist and one 3-pointer on 2-of-6 shooting.
Coach Mike D'Antoni seems to be attracted to the idea of playing the rookie as the stretch four and he's played at least 17 minutes in three of his last four games. Kelly is still a long way from sniffing value in standard leagues, but he could wind up on the radar with the wily Mike D calling the shots.

Sat Dec 28 201301:49Ryan Kelly plays just 13 minutes vs. Jazz
Ryan Kelly (ankle) played 13 minutes against the Jazz on Friday with two points.
He played a shocking 17 minutes on Wednesday and it wouldn't have been a surprise to see Mike D'Antoni use the rookie again tonight with Pau Gasol out. Kelly can be left on the wire on most leagues.

Fri Dec 27 201314:06Ryan Kelly has minor ankle sprain
Ryan Kelly is expected to play through a mild left ankle sprain on Friday night against the Jazz.
He is coming off a career-high 17 minutes and played a lot of power forward on Wednesday, so he could clear 20 minutes against the Jazz with Pau Gasol (illness) out. The Jazz are dead last in defensive efficiency this year, so there could be plenty of stats to go around for the Lakers.

Wed Dec 25 201320:04Ryan Kelly plays 17 minutes vs. Heat
Ryan Kelly had career highs with 17 minutes and four points against the Heat on Wednesday to go with one assist and one 3-pointer.
He was guarding LeBron James in the fourth quarter in Kelly's "welcome to the NBA" moment. Coach Mike D'Antoni is as unpredictable as it gets, so Kelly is at least on the radar in very deep leagues. To be clear, we're talking very deep leagues for now.

Mon Dec 2 201321:18Lakers recall Ryan Kelly from D-League
The Lakers recalled Ryan Kelly from the D-League on Monday.
He played just seven minutes all season and he's just going to be another body for the team while Jordan Farmar is out. Kelly is a stretch four that can't defend yet, so he'll have no fantasy value. For what it's worth, he is playing well in the D-League with 25.0 points per game.

Tue Oct 15 201310:26Ryan Kelly (foot) makes preseason debut
Ryan Kelly (foot) made his preseason debut on Monday with six points and three rebounds in a loss to the Warriors.
L.A.'s second-round draft pick is a 6'11", 230 pound big man who played four seasons with Duke, averaging 12.9 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.6 blocks. He has 3-point range, which by itself should endear him to Mike D'Antoni, but fantasy owners can safely ignore him on draft day.

Fri Oct 4 201318:45Ryan Kelly (foot) a week away from drills
Ryan Kelly (foot) is a week away from participating in drills according to Mike D'Antoni.
Kelly is going to be a punching bag defensively at the NBA level, but he can shoot and the Lakers are not exactly deep at power forward. He's not on the fantasy radar in most formats until he can show something on the court.

Sun Sep 22 201313:40Ryan Kelly (foot) now running on treadmill
Lakers draft pick Ryan Kelly (foot surgery) is running at 75 percent of his body weight on a treadmill.
Trainer Gary Vitti said Kelly is "completely asymptomatic," so his rehab is progressing well, but even at full health he'll need an impressive training camp to make the Lakers' roster. His contract is fully unguaranteed.
