Mon Feb 7 2011 | 20:36 | Peja to start in his Mavs debut on Monday |
Peja Stojakovic will start at small forward in his Mavs debut on Monday. |
This may excite some owners, but he's really only worth a look if you are desperate for 3-pointers. A limited minute role will keep him from providing much value. |

Peja Stojakovic (knee) will make his Mavercisk debut on Monday vs. the Cavaliers. |
Stojakovic will probably start before long, but limited minutes and muted production are a safe bet. Don't cut anyone for him unless you're adamant about getting more 3-pointers. |

Thu Feb 3 2011 | 11:50 | Peja could be back next week |
Coach Rick Carlisle said that Peja Stojakovic (knee) is tentatively expected to make his Mavericks debut Monday against the Cavs. |
Stojakovic will return before Roddy Beaubois. The sharpshooter is still getting his conditioning back and working soreness out of his knee. Although he'll likely start, we're not expecting a big impact. |

Sun Jan 30 2011 | 09:35 | Peja Stojakovic won't join Mavs on road trip? |
Peja Stojakovic (knee) is not expected to join the Mavs on their upcoming three-game road trip. |
The Mavs have a home game on Monday and then leave Wednesday for the three-game East Coast swing. It looks like Stojakovic will take all that time to get his knee and wind back in shape. Peja is still the likely starter at small forward at some point down the line, but it's taking him awhile to get back in the swing of things. |

Thu Jan 27 2011 | 12:12 | Peja won't debut until Monday at earliest |
Newly acquired Peja Stojakovic will not play on Thursday or Saturday. |
Stojakovic hasn't appeared in a game since Nov. 26, so he's working his way back into shape. There should also be fear that his troublesome knee is going to give him problems once he does get back in games. Although Peja could start at small forward down the line, expectations should be very low. |

Wed Jan 26 2011 | 15:54 | Stojakovic not likely for Thursday |
Peja Stojakovic is not expected to make his Mavs debut on Thursday. |
"We're going to go day to day with him," Rick Carlisle said. "He's making gradual progress. ... Is he going to play tomorrow? It's very doubtful." Stojakovic could have some value in deeper leagues as a three-point specialist, but belongs on waivers in standard formats until he proves he's ready for a prominent role in the rotation. |

Tue Jan 25 2011 | 11:20 | Stojakovic won't play Tuesday |
Newly signed Peja Stojakovic will not play against the Clippers Tuesday and may not play on Thursday either. |
The red tape surrounding the deal caused Stojakovic to miss valuable practice time with his new team. Once he gets up to speed, however, he could very well end up starting at small forward and playing 18-22 minutes a night. It remains to be seen how his knees will hold up. |

Mon Jan 24 2011 | 18:02 | Peja Stojakovic officially traded to Mavs |
The Mavericks have officially signed Peja Stojakovic. |
The Mavericks dealt Alexis Ajinca to clear a roster spot for Peja, and he could even start at SF once his knee is healthy enough to allow it. Consider stashing him on your bench if you're in the market for 3s and points. |

Peja Stojakovic attended the Mavericks' practice on Monday, but did not participate as Dallas awaits approval of the Alexis Ajinca trade. |
Peja could start at SF for the Mavericks. His 3-point shooting makes him a potential fantasy stash, but he does little beyond scoring and the team feels his return from knee injuries will be "a process." |

Sun Jan 23 2011 | 12:31 | Peja could start for the Mavs at SF? |
Beat writer Eddie Sefko suggests that if healthy, Peja Stojakovic is "in line to collect a large portion of minutes at small forward and perhaps start there." |
Stojakovic is expected to officially become a Maverick on Monday. No one has any idea what the state of Peja's knees are, but we do know that Dallas' offense is really struggling. They don't have anyone that can truly spread the floor and Peja can certainly help there. Deep leaguers in need of a 3-point specialist can take a flier. |

Thu Jan 20 2011 | 17:29 | Report: Stojakovic agrees to sign with Mavs |
The Mavericks have secured a verbal commitment from Peja Stojakovic that he will sign with Dallas once he clears waivers, according to ESPN's Marc Stein. |
Stojakovic hasn't played since Nov. 26 and even then he was in and out of the Raptors' rotation thanks to knee woes. There is no guarantee that Peja is healthy or ready to play real minutes, but the Mavs are taking a cheap flier here. With Caron Butler (knee) out, they need some shooters. Still, we have very low expectations. Stojakovic is a poor bet to sustain health or defend well enough to play for Dallas. Only add him in the deepest of leagues. |

Raptors released F Peja Stojakovic. |
The Raptors have made it official, but haven't released the financial terms. The bottom line is that they are paying Peja to go away. As noted in previous posts, the Mavericks are currently considered the favorite to land the sharpshooter. |

The Mavericks are the favorites to land Peja Stojakovic, sources tell ESPN.com. |
Stojakovic is expected to be bought out by the Raptors as soon as this afternoon. At that point, he will be free to sign with any team and the Mavs are an interesting landing spot. With Caron Butler (knee) out and coach Rick Carlisle preferring Shawn Marion off the bench, they are in need of a small forward. Still, we are skeptical that Stojakovic will be an asset to the Mavs or fantasy teams at this point in his career. |

Thu Jan 20 2011 | 13:07 | Report: Raptors close to buyout of Stojakovic |
The Raptors are close to a buyout of Peja Stojakovic, according to ESPN's Marc Stein. |
According to Stein, the top three teams on Peja's list are the Mavs, Lakers and Hornets. At this point, he will have to prove that his knee is healthy enough for a team to take a flier on him. We wouldn't expect Stojakovic, 33, to hold any value in fantasy no matter where he lands. The constant knee woes have sapped any athleticism he once had. |

Peja Stojakovic has missed Toronto's last eight games because of swelling in his left knee and there is no timetable for his return. |
