Fri Apr 1 202209:17Cameron Johnson Probable For Friday
Phoenix Suns forward Cameron Johnson (quad) is listed as probable ahead of Friday night's game against the Memphis Grizzlies. The 26-year-old missed nearly the entire month of March due to a right quad contusion, but it looks like he'll be back on the court on Friday. The third-year pro is averaging 12.8 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.7 three-pointers per game on the year while shooting 47.5% from the field and 87.3% from the line. His return will likely lead to fewer minutes for Torrey Craig, who has been the team's primary forward off the bench while Johnson has been sidelined.

Wed Mar 16 202215:18Cameron Johnson To Remain Sidelined Versus Rockets
Phoenix Suns guard Cameron Johnson (quad) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Houston Rockets. This marks the seventh game in a row that Johnson has missed due to a quad contusion. The Suns haven't given a timetable on Johnson, so it's beginning to be tough to hang onto him in most formats. Jae Crowder, Landry Shamet, and Torrey Craig should all benefit with Johnson sidelined. Out of the three, Crowder is the only player worth rostering in standard formats.

Mon Mar 14 202218:12Cameron Johnson Continues Absence For Tuesday’s Game
Phoenix Suns small forward Cameron Johnson (quad) has been ruled out for Tuesday's contest against New Orleans, his sixth consecutive absence due to a right quad contusion. Johnson last played on March 4, when he dropped a career-best 38 points in just 28 minutes. Torrey Craig has largely stepped into his minutes for the time being, with Aaron Holiday seeing an elevated offensive role among the second unit. When healthy, Johnson still carries appeal in deeper season-long formats due to his long range shooting ability, which has him second in the league in three-point percentage (44.8%). His next chance to take the floor comes Wednesday vs. the Rockets.

Sun Mar 13 202218:17Cameron Johnson To Remain Out On Sunday
Phoenix Suns forward Cameron Johnson (quad) will miss his fifth consecutive game on Sunday when the Suns square off against the Los Angeles Lakers. Johnson is dealing with a right quad contusion and it's a bit unclear when he'll be back on the court at this point. Johnson was fantastic in the last game he suited up for. Facing the New York Knicks on March 4, he scored a season-high 38 points while shooting 11-for-16 from the field, including 9-for-12 from beyond the arc. Injuries have really hit the Suns hard lately and as a result, the team has had an extremely thin bench. Expect the team's starters to play heavy minutes once again on Sunday.

Thu Mar 10 202221:32Cameron Johnson Ruled Out Versus Raptors
Phoenix Suns guard Cameron Johnson (quad) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Toronto Raptors. He'll miss his fourth game in a row due to a quad contusion. His absence should open up additional minutes for players such as Torrey Craig, Aaron Holiday, and Landry Shamet. Out of the three, Shamet appears to have the most upside and has been playing well lately. He's worth a look as a low-end streaming option with Johnson sidelined.

Wed Mar 9 202214:51Cameron Johnson Ruled Out For Wednesday
Phoenix Suns guard Cameron Johnson (quad) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Miami Heat. He sat out on Tuesday, which resulted in Landry Shamet playing heavy minutes. The return of Devin Booker could possibly damage the playing time and usage of Shamet. Although, there should still be decent streaming value for Shamet since Johnson is sitting out another game. Fantasy managers should take advantage of Shamet's value before it goes away.

Mon Mar 7 202221:51Cameron Johnson Not Available On Tuesday
Phoenix Suns guard Cameron Johnson (quad) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Orlando Magic. This marks the second game in a row that Johnson has missed due to a quad injury. Cameron Payne, Landry Shamet, Torrey Craig and Aaron Holiday should all see a boost with Johnson sidelined. Payne and Shamet are the only consistent fantasy options out of the bunch. Both are worth rostering while Johnson is out and Devin Booker sits out due to COVID-19 protocols.

Sat Mar 5 202223:22Cameron Johnson Ruled Out Against Milwaukee
Phoenix Suns guard Cameron Johnson (quadriceps) won't play on Sunday versus the Bucks. The 26-year-old erupted for a career-high 38 points against the New York Knicks on Friday night. However, he's now dealing with a right quad contusion, so his next opportunity to see the floor will come on Tuesday evening in Orlando. Devin Booker isn't available against the defending champs either due to COVID-19 health and safety protocols, so Mikal Bridges, Jae Crowder, Cameron Payne, and Deandre Ayton should handle most of the work on both sides of the court.

Sat Mar 5 202209:03Cameron Johnson Drops Career-High 38 Points
Phoenix Suns small forward Cameron Johnson has stepped into a larger offensive role with Devin Bookerand Chris Paul (thumb) sidelined, with Friday's performance marking the best scoring performance of his professional career. After getting into a tussle with the Knicks' Julius Randle, Johnson would go on to score 21 of his career-high 38 points in the fourth quarter, including knocking down a buzzer-beating three that delivered the Suns the victory. The nine made triples across just 28 minutes also set a new career best for Johnson, who has averaged 23.4 points per game while shooting 60.3% overall and 58.5% from behind the arc over his last five games.

Mon Jan 24 202220:50Cameron Johnson Will Start On Monday
Phoenix Suns forward Cameron Johnson will move into the starting five for Monday's game against the Utah Jazz. He'll join Chris Paul, Devin Booker, Mikal Bridges and JaVale McGee in the starting unit for this game. Jae Crowder (wrist) is sitting this one out, so Jalen Smith should see more playing time as well. Both Johnson and Smith should be worth looking at as streaming options on Monday. Johnson is the slightly better fantasy option, but both should have value here.

Mon Jan 17 202218:11Cameron Johnson Likely Returning Against Spurs
Phoenix Suns guard Cameron Johnson (ankle) is listed as probable for Monday's game against the San Antonio Spurs. He has missed each of the last three games due to a left ankle sprain. The Suns are expected to ease him back into his role. That being said, it's unlikely that Johnson has much fantasy appeal during his first game back. Landry Shamet should take a hit in playing time and won't be much of an option with Johnson returning. Possibly, Cameron Payne loses a few minutes, but he should still have a significant role in the rotation.

Thu Jan 13 202218:53Phoenix Tags Cameron Johnson As Questionable For Friday
Phoenix Suns small/power forward Cameron Johnson (ankle) has been deemed questionable to suit up for Friday's game vs. Indiana due to a sprained left ankle. The ailment caused Johnson to miss Tuesday's outing, his first absence of the year. Without him in the mix, Jae Crowder played a larger offensive role, although no member of the rotation saw noticeably more minutes. Johnson has emerged as a scoring dynamo no matter his role, having knocked down multiple triples in 22 straight contests, 21 of which have seen him score in double figures. He will have a particularly stingy matchup if he does play, as the Pacers yield the fewest made threes (10.8) by the opposition on a nightly basis.

Fri Dec 31 202119:52Cameron Johnson Impresses Against Boston
Phoenix Suns small forward Cameron Johnson closed out 2021 with a very good performance on Friday, recording 20 points, five rebounds, one assist and two steals in a 123-108 loss to Boston. He shot 8-for-15 from the field and 4-or-9 from downtown, while logging 34 minutes as a starter. The Suns have lost a couple of their starters to health and safety protocols, which has given Johnson an opportunity to log back-to-back starts. A couple of really juicy spots are now coming up for Johnson against Charlotte and New Orleans. These are two poor defensive teams and the Hornets also like to push the pace.

Mon Nov 22 202115:58Cameron Johnson Sets New Career-High With 22 Points
Phoenix Suns forward Cameron Johnson did enough damage in 23 minutes to set a new career-high in points on Sunday. In a 126-97 win over the Denver Nuggets, Johnson scored 23 points on 9-for-15 shooting to accompany four three-pointers, two assists, a rebound, and a steal. It was the first time Johnson scored more than 13 points all season, so there's not a lot to see here until a significant injury occurs in Phoenix. However, in the right matchup, the third-year player may be worth a stream at the end of a week to make up the difference in rebounding or threes. The new career-high is nice, but fantasy managers shouldn't jump on Johnson until he can consistently do this.
