Sun Jan 30 201103:31Brown pieces together decent game in loss
Kwame Brown hit just 2-of-8 shots from the field on Saturday, scoring seven points with 12 rebounds and one block in 28 minutes.
Compared to his teammates he actually came through for owners tonight, and still deserves to be owned for the time-being.
Thu Jan 27 201101:07Kwame double-doubles again in win
Kwame Brown had 12 points and 10 boards on 4-of-5 shooting as the Bobcats won for the fourth time in five games on Wednesday.
He didn't have a block, but this was his fourth double-double in seven games and he's worth owning in most leagues until he turns back into Kwame Brown at midnight.
Wed Jan 26 201100:23Kwame ties franchise rebounding record at SAC
Kwame Brown (illness) started Tuesday's game against the Kings, and currently has 13 points on 3-of-8 shooting with 17 rebounds, two assists, and a block with five minutes to play in the fourth quarter.
If he was dropped in your league go ahead and pick him up as he's found a new lease on life under Paul Silas. His 11 third quarter rebounds tied a franchise record previously held by Emeka Okafor.
Mon Jan 24 201112:48Kwame Brown practices after illness
Kwame Brown returned to the Bobcats' practice on Monday after missing one day with an illness.
Brown has a new lease under coach Paul Silas, and is worth a look if you need a low dose of rebounds and high FG%.
Thu Jan 20 201121:34Kwame starts, does little
Kwame Brown started on Thursday, scoring six points and grabbing nine rebounds. He seemed primed to play big minutes since the team was without forward Tyrus Thomas (knee), but foul trouble limited him to 23 minutes.
Nazr Mohammed split the minutes at center and finished with 15 points and seven boards. Neither player did anything else, which is why their fantasy value is so limited. Unless you are desperate for help with rebounds and field goal percentages, stay away for now.
Wed Jan 19 201100:49Brown slows down against small Bulls
Kwame Brown played just 15 minutes against the Bulls on Tuesday, scoring six points on 3-of-5 shooting with four rebounds and a block.
The Bulls went small all game, but it highlights a shortcoming in Kwame's game that makes him less reliable. He has been playing great (for him) lately, but he still lacks the productivity that can sustain these types of nights. This isn't instant drop territory if you're using him, but it's close.
Tue Jan 18 201112:52Silas allowing Kwame to shoot
Kwame Brown says Paul Silas is the first NBA coach he has ever had that has not discouraged him from shooting.
Brown is playing motivated basketball and is locked in as the starter ahead of Nazr Mohammed. The problem is that Kwame still struggles to score with his back to the basket and therefore is attempting just 5.7 shots a game as a starter. Without any blocks upside, Kwame is just a low-end center option for deep leaguers.

Mon Jan 17 201116:52Kwame Brown racks up 15 & 16 vs. 76ers
Kwame Brown posted 15 points and 16 rebounds for another double-double vs. the 76ers.
He shot 5-of-9 from the field and 5-of-5 from the line in a whopping 41 minutes, as coach Paul Silas has simply turned him loose. He added a steal and a rare block this afternoon and is worth checking out if you need low-level center production.
Sat Jan 15 201123:09Kwame posts 12 points, 14 boards in loss
Kwame Brown started and posted a double-double on Saturday against the Hornets, scoring 12 points on 5-of-6 shooting with 14 rebounds, one steal, and no blocks in 30 minutes.
Nazr Mohammed played eight minutes off the bench and is probably going to be eased back into action one way or another, but make no mistake, Kwame is proving he can be useful for points and boards. He doesn't block the ball at all, however, which is unacceptable for a fantasy center.
Thu Jan 13 201111:50Kwame Brown to start permanently?
Owner Michael Jordan has previously suggested that Kwame Brown start at center permanently.
Brown, who Jordan selected with the No. 1 overall pick in Washington, has been starting the last five games due to Nazr Mohammed's knee injury. But Brown has impressed defensively, which could lead to the full-time starting gig. Over the last five games, Brown is averaging 8.0 points, 7.2 rebounds and 0.2 blocks in 26 minutes a night.

Mon Jan 10 201121:49Kwame posts low-end production vs. Memphis
Kwame Brown started again at center for injured Nazr Mohammed (knee) on Monday, and scored eight points on 2-of-3 shooting with six rebounds and a block in 34 minutes.
He's worth a look if you're desperate for a big man, so long as Mohammed remains out. Just don't expect anything but low-end production from him.
Wed Jan 5 201123:56Kwame Brown suddenly relevant for Cats
Kwame Brown, who hasn't done anything in years, had 12 first-half rebounds and finished with eight points and 14 boards in another start at center for the Bobcats, who actually won, on Wednesday.
Yeah, they beat the Timberwolves in overtime, but basically start a D-League team right now given all their injuries. There's no timetable on Nazr Mohammed's return and DeSagana Diop is out for the year, meaning Kwame may actually be worth owning in fantasy leagues. Pick him up and start him at your own risk, but he at least desreves a look due to the fact there is no one else to play center in Charlotte.
Wed Jan 5 201109:20Brown expected to start again
Kwame Brown is expected to start once again in Wednesday's game against the Wolves.
With Gana Diop and Nazr Mohammed both down, Brown is stepping in at center. He had just five points and seven rebounds when he started on Monday and there's not much reason to think he'll fare any better tonight. The former No. 1 overall pick is just a desperation play at best.

Mon Jan 3 201123:51Brown limited to 23 minutes in loss to Heat
Kwame Brown started for injured Nazr Mohammed (knee) on Monday against the Heat, but managed just five points on 1-of-4 shooting with seven rebounds, no assists, one steal, and no blocks in 23 minutes of action.
There is no timetable for Nazr's return, and while it's sometimes worthless to evaluate players against the Heat due to the lopsided scores the games produce, tonight's result isn't surprising. Brown has shown some better aggression this year, but he's only worth a look if you're desperate.
Mon Dec 27 201018:29Nazr back in starting five over Kwame
Nazr Mohammed will start at center for the Bobcats on Monday, sending Kwame Brown back to the bench.
Kwame somehow started on Tuesday, but will now come off the bench behind DeSagana Diop, who will back up Mohammed.

Tue Dec 21 201023:00Brown quiet in start for Nazr
Kwame Brown was moved into the starting lineup on Tuesday, finishing with nine points on 3-of-4 shooting with five rebounds, one assist, and one block in 31 minutes.
His time was augmented tonight by the fact that Nazr Mohammed left with a hamstring injury, and what you're looking at is a fairly normal night for Brown when given this type of run. If this gets your motor running, give him a look, but for most formats it's simply not good enough.
Tue Dec 21 201019:14Brown, Carroll to start vs. Thunder
Kwame Brown and Matt Carroll will start in place of Nazr Mohammed and Dominic McGuire on Tuesday against the Thunder.
Neither are particularly good options in a spot start, though Kwame has been flirting with some value in very deep leagues with his production off the bench. Given the recent struggles of the Bobcats, Larry Brown is doing what he can to shake things up.

Fri Dec 17 201023:59Kwame Brown had 8 & 5 in loss
Kwame Brown had eight points and five rebounds in Friday's loss.
He's had five or more rebounds in five straight games and might be worth a look in very deep leagues.
Sat Dec 11 201023:48Kwame starts the second half on Saturday
Kwame Brown started the second half of Saturday's game against the Celtics, and finished with five points on 2-of-7 shooting with nine rebounds, one steal, and two blocks in 26 minutes of action.
Strangely, he replaced Nazr Mohammmed who was the Bobcats' leading scorer at the half and finished with 14 points on 7-of-11 shooting with five rebounds, two steals, and two blocks, and there was no word of an injury. Both of these guys' lines aren't reflective of a normal outing, so stay away for the most part.
Sat Dec 4 201022:21Kwame scores 12 points with seven boards
Kwame Brown scored 12 points on 4-of-6 shooting with seven boards and one assist in 21 minutes off the bench.
He had some aggressive moves to the hoop and instead of bagging on him like we normally do we thought we'd point out his good outing. That said, he still has a ways to go before he has any fantasy value.
