Sat Mar 26 201100:51Brown scores 12 points with seven boards
Kwame Brown scored 12 points on 3-of-6 shooting with seven rebounds, one assist, and one steal in 39 minutes on Friday.
With the Bobcats stretched so thinly in their frontcourt, he could be staring at a heavy workload to finish the year. If you're desperate for a big man, give him a look, as he may be ready to produce again.

Wed Mar 23 201123:20Kwame Brown has nice line in loss
Kwame Brown had 16 points, nine rebounds, a steal and a block in 35 minutes of Wednesday's loss to the Pacers.
The Bobcats playoff dreams were dashed tonight so it remains to be seen what Kwame's role will be going forward. But Tyrus Thomas left with a rib injury, Stephen Jackson is ready to be shutdown with a hamstring injury and Boris Diaw didn't attempt a shot in 25 minutes. It looks like Brown will continue to play, but don't expect this kind of production on most nights.

Sun Mar 20 201102:36Kwame struggling for the Bobcats
Kwame Brown continued to struggle for the Bobcats on Saturday, scoring three points on 1-of-5 shooting with seven rebounds and no other statistics in 25 minutes.
He has not eclipsed double-digit points or rebounds since a March 9 game against the Bulls, and he should be left on waivers in most formats.

Wed Mar 9 201123:07Kwame Brown double-doubles in loss
Kwame Brown had 11 points and 11 rebounds in a loss to the Bulls.
This was an impressive line against Joakim Noah and company, and it's possible that Kwame was energized by being given a vote of confidence by Paul Silas recently. He should continue to start at center, but had been struggling. Only grab him if you're desperate at center.

Mon Mar 7 201111:31Silas stands behind Brown as starting center
Bobcats coach Paul Silas shared that Kwame Brown will remain as the team's starting center despite his poor play of late.
There's pressure to switch out the struggling Brown for the incoming Joel Przybilla. With the kind of stats Brown is putting up we wouldn't blame him if he made the change.

Sat Mar 5 201104:40Kwame Brown's struggles continue vs. Lakers
Kwame Brown's struggles continued against his old Lakers squad on Friday, as he scored six points on 3-of-6 shooting with seven rebounds, two assists, and one steal in 25 minutes.
He has scored no more than six points in his last three games, and gotten no more than seven rebounds over that span, either. He can safely be dropped, as the Bobcats are also getting decent play from Joel Przybilla, who had four points and eight boards in 16 minutes tonight.

Fri Feb 25 201123:44Kwame hits his ceiling in win over Kings
Kwame Brown scored 12 points on 4-of-13 shooting with 13 rebounds, one assist, and two blocks in a whopping 45 minutes on Friday.
With Nazr Mohammed on his way to Oklahoma City and Joel Przybilla still in Portland, he got as much run as he could handle. Aside from the poor shooting total, this is pretty much his ceiling, but with the performance he should be owned in most formats.
Wed Feb 23 201100:03Brown plays 21 minutes in blowout win
Kwame Brown played 21 minutes in Tuesday's blowout win, scoring eight points on 3-of-6 shooting with four rebounds and a block.
Nazr Mohammed (24 minutes, eight points, 14 boards) has been gaining on him, but it's tough to assess when tonight's game was over early. Either way, Brown has been pretty poor lately and can be dropped because of his very low upside. Just don't be surprised if he's getting starter's minutes in a few games.
Wed Feb 16 201100:19Brown posts shaky night against the Bulls
Kwame Brown scored just two points on 1-of-1 shooting with four rebounds and one block in 21 minutes on Tuesday.
We don't think his role has changed so much, but his production is down whichever way you slice it. And since he wasn't exactly breaking down walls when he was productive, it stands to reason that he can be dropped when he starts to falter.
Sat Feb 12 201100:03Kwame (family) returned to action on Friday
Kwame Brown (personal) returned to action on Friday, scoring eight points on 3-of-6 shooting with eight rebounds and no other statistics in 30 minutes.
He's back to what he was before he left -- a double-double threat every night that doesn't get near enough steals or blocks.
Fri Feb 11 201111:15Kwame Brown to play Friday
As expected, Bobcats big man Kwame Brown will play vs. the Nets on Friday after missing Wednesday's game due to a death in the family.
Brown has surfaced with a bigger role under coach Paul Silas, but still only offers meager fantasy value in rebounds and FG%.

Thu Feb 10 201114:51Brown will be back in time for Friday's game
Coach Paul Silas confirmed that Kwame Brown (personal) will be back in time for Friday's game against the Nets.
Brown is safe to use as a rebounding specialist. He's averaging 8.5 boards a night in 21 starts this season.

Thu Feb 10 201112:46Kwame expected back Friday
Kwame Brown (personal) is expected to return for Friday's game against the Nets.
The Bobcats thought Brown would be available last night, but he called coach Paul Silas in the afternoon and said it wouldn't be possible. Barring another unexpected development, Brown should be safe to use in lineups tomorrow.

Wed Feb 9 201118:06Kwame Brown not playing on Wednesday
Kwame Brown will miss Wednesday's game due to a death in his family.
Nazr Mohammed gets the start, and the Bobcats will likely go with a smaller lineup for plenty of the game featuring Boris Diaw at center. Eduardo Najera should also see some additional run off the bench.

Tue Feb 8 201113:01Kwame, Carroll miss practice
Kwame Brown (death in family) and Matt Carroll (family emergency) both missed practice Tuesday but are expected to play against the Pacers Wednesday.
Barring any surprises tomorrow, use Kwame as you normally would. He's averaging 9.0 points, 8.6 rebounds and 0.6 blocks over the last 10 games.

Mon Feb 7 201123:30Kwame Brown gets tough against the Celtics
Kwame Brown got tough against Kendrick Perkins and the Celtics on Monday, finishing with four points on 1-of-9 shooting with 12 rebounds, one assist, two steals, and two blocks in 29 minutes.
Sure, the shooting sucks, but the fire he showed getting into Perkins' face may be the best news that originated from this outing. Maybe assistant coach Charles Oakley is getting through to him, and if so, it wouldn't be surprising to see him advance his game, as crazy as that sounds.
Sat Feb 5 201123:10Kwame bounces back against the Mavs
Kwame Brown bounced back from a small-ball dud on Friday, scoring 10 points on 2-of-7 shooting (6-of-6 from the foul line) with nine rebounds, one assist, and no steals or blocks in 25 minutes on Saturday.
We use the term bounce back a bit liberally here, but this is what owners using Kwame are expecting on a nightly basis. When he faces teams that go small like Miami did on Friday, he invariably will take a hit. Plan accordingly.
Fri Feb 4 201122:25Brown has off-night agains the Heat on Friday
Kwame Brown had an off-night against the Heat on Friday, scoring six points on 3-of-3 shooting with three rebounds, one assist, and no steals or blocks in just 19 minutes of action.
The Heat play a small, athletic lineup that doesn't mesh with Brown's lumbering style, so tonight's result doesn't represent a change in value.
Thu Feb 3 201100:27Kwame double-doubles against Pistons
Kwame Brown had 14 points, 10 rebounds and a block on 6-of-9 shooting Wednesday, racking up another double-double.
He's double-doubled in four of his last 11 games and actually looked like a skilled offensive player tonight. It looks like the Bobcats are going to stick with him at center, and while there are other big men we like more, he deserves a look in most leagues as long as he keeps playing at this level. He had just five points and four boards in his last game, but was likely fired up to show up his former team. Mission accomplished.
Mon Jan 31 201123:58Kwame Brown quiet in loss to Jazz
Kwame Brown had just five points, four rebounds and zero blocks in Monday's loss.
Al Jefferson shut him down tonight, and while Kwame has been hot, he's still Kwame Brown. He'll fare better against lesser center, but there are likely better big men available on your waiver wire.
