Fri Dec 20 2013 | 19:22 | Caron Butler out, Raduljica starting |
Caron Butler (knee) will not play against Cavs on Friday. |
He tried to warm up for the game and could not give it a go. Butler has missed his last 12 games, but it sounds like he could be back soon. The Bucks are starting Brandon Knight, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, John Henson and Miroslav Raduljica tonight. |

Thu Dec 19 2013 | 14:57 | Caron Butler (knee) travels, may play Friday |
Caron Butler (knee) traveled for Friday's game in Cleveland and he intends to play if his knee doesn't swell up during the flight. |
We have minimal faith in Butler's continued health, but there are plenty of minutes available in the Bucks' injury-ravaged lineup. He's been a borderline value in 30 minutes per game this season, averaging 13.2 points, 2.0 triples, 5.6 rebounds and 1.0 steals, with limited assists and a brutal 38.5 percent FG average. |

Tue Dec 17 2013 | 14:45 | Caron Butler (knee) still not practicing |
Caron Butler (swollen knee) did not practice on Tuesday. |
He was with the team but Larry Drew didn't mention him as a possibility for Wednesday's game, so we're considering him out unless a positive update surfaces in the next 24 hours. Milwaukee is simply decimated by injuries and Giannis Antetokounmpo is set up for another game with heavy minutes on Wednesday. |

Mon Dec 9 2013 | 13:40 | Caron Butler (knee) out at least another week |
Caron Butler (swollen left knee) will miss at least one more week. |
Butler's absence is awful news for the bruised and battered Bucks, but it's good news for any fantasy owners relying on Khris Middleton in Milwaukee's four-game week. |

Sat Dec 7 2013 | 19:03 | Caron Butler (knee) sits out sixth straight |
Caron Butler (knee) will sit out a sixth consecutive game on Saturday. |
We're at the end of his initial one-week timetable, so his absence is worth mentioning. There is still no clear sense when he'll return to the lineup, which is good news for anyone with Khris Middleton in their active lineups. |

Sat Nov 30 2013 | 19:35 | Caron Butler expected to miss one week |
Caron Butler (left knee) is expected to miss one week of action, according to coach Larry Drew. |
He has swelling in his left knee, so it's not a surprise that the team will want the 33-year-old forward on the sidelines until he's healed. Khris Middleton has been arguably the best player on the Bucks and will continue to start. Given how frequently Butler is hurt, Middleton seems like a better player to own in most leagues right now. |

Fri Nov 29 2013 | 19:15 | Caron Butler (swollen left knee) out Friday |
Caron Butler will not play against the Bobcats due to a swollen left knee. |
In traditional Bucks fashion, this news didn't break until the game started. Butler has dealt with a slew of knee injuries in previous seasons and should be considered questionable for Saturday against the Celtics. Khris Middelton should get all the minutes he can handle at small forward tonight and is picking up steam as an add with how fragile Butler has been this season. |

Thu Nov 28 2013 | 01:12 | Caron Butler stays quiet off Bucks bench |
Caron Butler came off the bench for five points, three rebounds, two assists and a 3-pointer on 2-of-7 shooting in 20 minutes on Wednesday. |
Yuck. Since his 38-point explosion a week ago, Butler has been benched and scored a total of 18 points in his last three games. He'll get hot again and is worth hanging onto, but is not a great starting option in fantasy as long as owners have other weapons to choose from. |

Sun Nov 24 2013 | 00:02 | Caron Butler comes back to Earth |
Caron Butler couldn't carry the momentum over from his big Friday night with just five points on Saturday to go with two rebounds, one steal and one 3-pointer in 20 minutes. |
The Bucks were horrible and could only score 51 points in the first three quarters of this game. Butler busted out for 38 points on Friday night, so that positive is more than enough to give him a pass with Saturday night's negative. He is still worth holding in all leagues. |

Sat Nov 23 2013 | 00:14 | Caron Butler scores season-high 38 points |
Caron Butler scored a season-high 38 points on 13-of-22 shooting (4-of-8 3PTs, 8-of-11 FTs) with eight rebounds, three assists and three steals over 36 minutes in Friday's overtime loss to the Sixers. |
The opponent should be noted here and this is all-but guaranteed to be Butler's best line of the year. He was brought to Milwaukee to be the team's No. 2 scorer, so as long as he is healthy he should be owned in all formats, regardless of whether or not he can actually be what the Bucks think he is. |

Thu Nov 21 2013 | 02:55 | Caron Butler quiet in return to action |
Caron Butler returned from a shoulder injury Wednesday but hit just 4-of-10 shots and a 3-pointer for nine points, seven rebounds and one assist in 29 minutes. |
He was heating up before the shoulder injury and it shouldn't take him long to get hot again. He's not the most exciting player to own, but was averaging 14 points, 6.4 rebounds, one steal and 2.2 3-pointers in his previous five games before the injury. |

Wed Nov 20 2013 | 18:30 | Caron Butler is back in the lineup vs. POR |
Caron Butler will return to the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Blazers. |
He missed two games with his left shoulder injury, but the Bucks leaned on him heavily before that issue. Butler played a whopping 42 minutes on Nov. 13 and scored 20, so he should be a big part of the scoring puzzle. He should be owned in standard leagues. |

Tue Nov 19 2013 | 14:05 | Caron Butler (shoulder) probable for Weds |
Caron Butler (shoulder) is probable for Wednesday's game against the Trailblazers. |
Butler is averaging over 31 minutes per game this season, but his stat lines have been frustrating for fantasy owners as he's only averaged 13.3 points and 6.0 rebounds per game. With Ersan Ilyasova expected to return Wednesday, Butler's situation could get even stickier as Larry Drew attempts to integrate Ilyasova into an already murky rotation that includes Khris Middleton and John Henson. Butler is worth holding due to the amount of minutes he plays, but we may have already seen his high-water mark this season. |

Mon Nov 18 2013 | 13:22 | Caron Butler (shoulder) back at practice Mon. |
Caron Butler (shoulder) practiced on Monday and could return to action vs. the Sixers on Wednesday. |
The Bucks dodged a bullet, as Butler's shoulder injury wasn't serious, but his return will be a mixed blessing for fantasy owners. Despite playing 32 minutes per game, Butler is scoring 13.3 points on 36.0 percent shooting, with 2.1 triples, 6.0 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 2.6 turnovers per game. |

Sat Nov 16 2013 | 13:12 | Caron Butler likely to return next week |
Caron Butler's shoulder injury isn't considered serious and he should be able to play next week. |
There was some concern Butler would miss all of next week, so this is encouraging news. The earliest Butler could return is next Wednesday against the Blazers. The Bucks also have games next Friday and Saturday. Butler is averaging 13.3 points and 6.0 rebounds per game. |

Fri Nov 15 2013 | 10:20 | Butler ruled out, Middleton, Henson starting |
Caron Butler's shoulder injury will keep him out of Friday's game against the Pacers, while Khris Middleton and John Henson are slated to start at forward for the Bucks. |
Henson has been coming off the bench for Larry Drew, but the Bucks are finally so beat up that he has no choice but to start Henson against the undefeated Pacers. Of course, Drew could change his mind before tip off, but as of now, the starting five looks like Nate Wolters, O.J. Mayo, Middleton, Henson and Ekpe Udoh. As for Butler, he's expected to miss "a couple" games, which could mean anywhere from one more after this one, or leave him out all of next week. |

Thu Nov 14 2013 | 15:20 | Caron Butler diagnosed w/ sprained shoulder |
An MRI revealed that Caron Butler has a mild left shoulder sprain, and beat writer Gery Woelfel says Butler is "likely to miss a couple of games." |
Butler's probable absence thrusts even more minutes onto Khris Middleton and Giannis Antetokounmpo, as Larry Drew may be forced to use a seven-man rotation on Friday due to injuries. The Bucks' injury report is unbelievable -- Butler is joined by Carlos Delfino (foot), Luke Ridnour (back), Larry Sanders (thumb), Ersan Ilyasova (ankle), Zaza Pachulia (foot), Brandon Knight (hamstring), and Gary Neal (foot). Ilyasova won't play on Friday but Zaza, Knight and Neal are day-to-day. |

Wed Nov 13 2013 | 22:54 | Caron Butler to get an MRI on left shoulder |
Caron Butler will get an MRI on Thursday for his injured left shoulder. |
There has been no diagnosis given at this time or if the team opted to give him an X-ray to check for a shoulder separation. The Bucks will play again on Friday and they'll need Butler back badly. If he misses the start, he will be the fifth opening-night starter to miss a start -- on top of Ersan Ilaysova missing time. Khris Middleton is a great add in most leagues on a speculative basis. |

Wed Nov 13 2013 | 21:28 | Caron Butler (shoulder) goes to locker room |
Caron Butler suffered an apparent left shoulder injury and went to the locker room. |
He was in some pain and the Bucks could definitely not afford to lose another body. They were only playing with eight guys tonight and will have to count on Giannis Antetokounmpo to help fill the void for now. Stay tuned for an update. |
