Wed Jan 29 201420:37Kendrick Perkins benched to start second half
Kendrick Perkins did not start the second half of Wednesday's game vs. the Heat in favor of Perry Jones III.
He only played five minutes in the first half and saying he was terrible in that stretch might be putting it nicely. Perkins remains one of the worst players based on stats, which is saying something considering how most of his teammates have terrific numbers on basis and advanced statistics. Fantasy owners shouldn't be looking to grab Jones or anything and this news is more about coach Scott Brooks making a shocking, yet overdue decision.

Sat Jan 18 201401:26Kendrick Perkins grabs 12 boards vs. GSW
Kendrick Perkins grabbed 12 boards against the Warriors on Friday with six points, two assists and two steals in 24 minutes.
His 12 boards were a season high. Perkins is still one of the least effective players from a statistical standpoint, so that might be a problem in fantasy basketball.

Sun Jan 5 201421:48Kendrick Perkins scores season-high 12 points
The Thunder got a rare offensive boost from Kendrick Perkins on Sunday, as he scored 12 points with six rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block.
Perk made 5-of-9 shots in 26 minutes of action, marking season-highs in both points and FG attempts. The Celtics have been reasonably good defending opposing centers this season and there was no way to see Perkins' nice game coming. Leave him on the waiver wire.

Kendrick Perkins is expected to be fine from his dislocated finger injury and should start, according to coach Scott Brooks.
He suffered the injury in the first half of Friday's game and did not return. It was to his left ring finger, which is the same digit he injured in the preseason. Continue to ignore Perkins in all leagues. Meanwhile, those that speculatively added Steven Adams can think about letting him go.

Kendrick Perkins suffered a dislocation to his left ring finger and will not return on Friday.
This is the same finger he dislocated back in October and he might have to miss time. Steven Adams started the second half of Friday's game and picks up some value as a pick up for owners looking for some help in boards and blocks. Perkins isn't worth owning in almost any league.

Sun Nov 17 201300:49Kendrick Perkins invisible in return
Kendrick Perkins returned from a personal absence and had two points, five rebounds and zero blocks in 19 minutes in a start on Saturday.
Perkins didn't even do us the courtesy of blocking a shot, but back up Steven Adams wasn't all that much better, finishing with two points, seven rebounds and two blocks. It could change at some point in the next few weeks, but as of now, neither center in OKC is worth owning in most leagues.

Mon Nov 4 201301:41Kendrick Perkins not happy in OKC
Kendrick Perkins said on Twitter that he thinks it might be time for a change.
"I'm sitting here thinking and it might be time for a change," Perkins said. Of course, this could have meant anything, but since he did delete it moments later, it indicates he regretted saying it for whatever reason. He did play just 16.5 minutes per game over his last two outings while rookie Steven Adams has exhibited some impressive rebounding skills and Nick Collison played 21 minutes Sunday. To be clear, there's really nothing to this story yet.

Wed Oct 23 201300:44Kendrick Perkins returns to action Tuesday
Kendrick Perkins returned from a finger injury on Tuesday and had two points and two rebounds in 10 minutes.
He's no longer worth owning in most fantasy leagues, but could be worth a flier in two-center leagues if he can stay healthy and produce. But the bottom line is that you want a better center than Perkins for your fantasy team this season.

Mon Sep 30 201314:08Kendrick Perkins still dealing with knee pain
Kendrick Perkins (knee) said he still has knee soreness on Monday.
He went through practice and he sounds like he'll be ready for the preseason action. Perkins mentioned that rookie Steven Adams was a steal in the draft, but Adams is unlikely to usurp Perk's minutes off the bat. Statistically speaking, he was one of the worst player in the NBA, so he's not exactly fantasy material

Mon Aug 12 201309:15Kendrick Perkins motivated to turn it around
Kendrick Perkins said he's working harder this offseason on shot and explosiveness.
"I've been working, man," Perkins said. "Been in the gym and basically just working more in the weight room on my explosiveness and touch around the basket, hook shots and stuff like that. I've been shooting a lot of jumpers, making sure I make 300 a night. I'm just trying to prepare." He added that he was back on the court just two weeks after his knee scope on July 9, so he'll have most of the offseason to get it going. Last year was a disaster for Perkins. Among players seeing at least 25 minutes per night, he ranked dead last in the NBA in player efficiency rating while shooting a career-low 45.7 percent. Obviously, he'll need a bit of a miracle to get back in our good graces for fantasy.
