Tue Jul 9 201318:14Kendrick Perkins has right knee scoped
Kendrick Perkins had arthroscopic surgery on his right knee Tuesday morning.
He had some right knee issues in February, but didn't miss any time. There has always been talk of Perkins being amnestied with the $18.5 million he's owed over the next two seasons, but with the free agency period almost over, it's less likely. He is hoping to be ready to resume basketball activities in two weeks.

Tue Jun 25 201319:30Thunder tried to move up into the top five
Oklahoma City was interested in packaging its two first-round picks and Kendrick Perkins for a top-five pick, per ESPN.com.
Even though it's a weak draft class, NBA teams would be foolish to even consider trading for Kendrick Perkins. Perk was a liability in the lineup and financially for the Thunder this past season, so don't expect OKC to be able to offer much more outside of their 12th and 29th picks to try and move up.

Fri Jun 21 201308:50Kendrick Perkins 'embarrassed' by playoffs
Kendrick Perkins said he was "embarrassed" with how he played in the playoffs and is motivated to retool his game.
Perkins posted a nightmare PER in the playoffs, but it didn't take that metric to prove how badly he was struggling. Perkins was a disaster for OKC, and the Thunder simply need him to be better. "I'm working out with the young guys and I'm acting like I don't even have a contract," Perkins said. He should be an amnesty candidate, but the Thunder have said that's not a route they're considering.

Tue May 28 201309:12Kendrick Perkins had worst year of his career
Kendrick Perkins had the worst season of his career in 2012-13.
OKC owes Perkins approximately $19 million over the next two seasons, and although GM Sam Presti has said the Thunder won't amnesty him, Perkins' value is no longer what it used to be. He finished the regular season with averages fo 4.2 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.1 blocks on just 45.7 percent shooting.

Sat May 18 201312:30Presti says amnesty not something Thunder use
Thunder GM Sam Presti said the amnesty exemption is not something Oklahoma City has considered using.
Presti was asked the question in relation to Kendrick Perkins, who is due $18.63 million over the next two seasons. Presti said the Thunder believe Perkins has "a lot of value to our team," which certainly didn't seem to be the case in OKC's second-round loss to Memphis. We'll just have to wait and see if Presti is true to his word.

Thu May 16 201316:38Kendrick Perkins 'pretty sure' he'll be back
Kendrick Perkins said Wednesday he's "pretty sure" he'll still be with the Thunder next season.
It's good Perk is so sure of his return because we're definitely not. Perkins is a candidate for OKC's amnesty clause given the $18.63 million left on his contract over the next two seasons. Perkins also hasn't played like he deserved anywhere close to that sort of payday in quite a while. Given OKC's need for a legit third scorer and a budget already crunched by Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and Serge Ibaka's big deals, it wouldn't be surprising if Perkins finds himself a free agent.

Mon May 13 201320:26Kendrick Perkins could play more in Game 4
Scott Brooks said he anticipates Kendrick Perkins playing more in Game 4 on Monday.
Well, Perk certainly hasn't earned his possible extra playing time. He's made a pathetic 2-of-14 from the field in the first three games of this series and this could be another head-scratching lineup decision by Scott Brooks. We'd guess "desperate times call for desperate measures" applies here.

Sat May 11 201320:10Perkins, Thabo shoot a combined 0-of-8 FGs
Kendrick Perkins shot 0-of-4 from the field in 16 minutes on Saturday, while Thabo Sefolosha also shot 0-of-4 in 18 minutes.
Perk is a combined 2-of-14 from the field vs. Memphis in the second round. Kevin Durant had his usual 25 points tonight, with 11 rebounds, five assists and three steals in 46 minutes, but his teammates shot a combined 33.3 percent from the field. The only other players in double-figures were Serge Ibaka (13 points), Kevin Martin (13) and Reggie Jackson (16). With Russell Westbrook injured OKC's lack of offensive options is quickly catching up with them.

Mon Apr 22 201300:15Kendrick Perkins quiet in return from injury
Kendrick Perkins played through a hamstring injury on Sunday and had four points, four rebounds, three steals and a bock in the easy win over the Rockets.
Perk will provide solid defense, but he's not good enough on the offensive end to be used in most fantasy playoff leagues. He should play a ton of games, but won't do a whole lot in them.

Sun Apr 21 201309:40Kendrick Perkins expected to play in Game 1
Kendrick Perkins (hamstring) is fully expected to start in Game 1 vs. Houston on Sunday.
We never really doubted Perkins' availability, but it's worth noting considering he missed time to end the season. Nevertheless, Perkins will be back in action vs. the Rockets and should see the typical 20-25 minutes that he saw all season long.

Tue Apr 16 201319:34Kendrick Perkins will not play in finale Wed.
Kendrick Perkins (hamstring) will not play against the Bucks on Wednesday.
Nick Collison is also likely to sit that one out and Hasheem Thabeet may get to prove that he was indeed worth the second pick of the 2009 draft, which was one pick before James Harden. Kidding aside, Thabeet may be worth a look in fantasy leagues as the Thunder rest most of their team on Wednesday.

Tue Apr 16 201308:15Kendrick Perkins not expected to play Weds.
Kendrick Perkins (hamstring) is not expected to play on Wednesday vs. the Bucks.
OKC has sewn up the top spot out West, so there is little reason for Perkins to rush back. He'll prepare himself for the postseason and Hasheem Thabeet should close out the regular season as the Thunder's starting center.

Mon Apr 15 201312:20Kendrick Perkins ruled out once again Monday
Kendrick Perkins (hamstring) will not play against the Kings on Monday.
Perkins is trying to get to full strength before the playoffs start. Hasheem Thabeet will likely start again with Nick Collison seeing a boost in minutes off the bench.

Fri Apr 12 201320:42Kendrick Perkins out with his hamstring issue
Kendrick Perkins (hamstring) will not play against the Blazers on Friday.
The Thunder simply won't be the same without Perkins. Thanks to him, they led the NBA in offensive efficiency and it has nothing to do with Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant. In case you're illiterate when it comes to reading sarcasm, this shouldn't have any negative impact on OKC's offense. Nick Collison should get more playing time.

Fri Apr 12 201309:36Kendrick Perkins doubtful to play on Friday
Kendrick Perkins (hamstring) is doubtful to play on Friday against the Blazers.
According to beat writer Darnell Mayberry, it "doesn't sound likely" Perkins will play. His absence should open up some extended minutes for Serge Ibaka, Nick Collison and possibly Hasheem Thabeet.

Fri Apr 12 201300:38Kendrick Perkins out for game with hamstring
Kendrick Perkins is dealing with hamstring tightness on Thursday and he will not return.
Perkins ranks 12th on the Thunder in player efficiency rating on the season, but Scott Brooks has been playing him 25.2 minutes per game. The trade for Jeff Green that took place back in 2011 would be pretty silly these days, too.

Sat Feb 23 201302:40Perkins (knee) returns to action
Kendrick Perkins (knee) returned to action on Friday against the Wolves, scoring 10 points on 4-of-6 shooting with seven rebounds, one steal and one block in 25 minutes.
This will be one of his better lines of the year, which needless to say means he has no real fantasy value.

Fri Feb 22 201319:24Kendrick Perkins will play Friday
Kendrick Perkins (knee) will play against the Timberwolves on Friday night.
He is dealing with a minor strain to his knee and he went through shootaround Friday morning. Perkins has little to no fantasy value and he has become a bit of a liability on both ends of the floor for the Thunder.

Fri Feb 22 201312:04Kendrick Perkins a game-time call on Friday
Kendrick Perkins (knee) went through shootaround on Friday and will be a game-time decision.
If Perkins is forced to sit out again, Hasheem Thabeet will likely draw another start in his place. Obviously, Thabeet is not an option in fantasy leagues.

Thu Feb 21 201313:23Kendrick Perkins (knee) iffy to play Friday
Kendrick Perkins (sprained knee) remains day-to-day, leaving him uncertain to play in Friday's game vs. the Wolves.
Perkins said the injury is "minor" but it already forced him to miss Wednesday's game, in which Hasheem Thabeet started at center but played only 11 minutes, while Nick Collison logged 17 minutes off the bench.
