Sat Dec 28 201301:09Beno rebounds to post 15-4-10 line vs. TOR
Beno Udrih rebounded from a terrible night to score 15 points on 6-of-11 shooting (including a three) with four rebounds, 10 assists and four steals in the Knicks' 95-83 loss to the Raptors on Friday.
Despite the big line Udrih is playing terrible basketball and that's going to carry with it his fair share of duds, but with the potential to go off like this on any given night and Raymond Felton's return a bit hazy he should be owned in most formats.

Thu Dec 26 201314:02Beno Udrih at odds with coach Mike Woodson?
Beno Udrih vented his frustration after Wednesday's loss to the Thunder with coach Mike Woodson's criticism.
Udrih's veiled post-game remarks ranged from strange to conspiratorial, "Sometimes I have a feeling like when I do a mistake, they have a feeling that I'm making the mistake on purpose. As weird as it sounds, that's how I feel." He never called Woodson out by name, but did add, "don't just be a coach, be a person." Woodson didn't sound excited about Udrih's post-game remarks at Thursday's practice, so it will be interesting to see how much Udrih plays during Friday's game against the Raptors.

Wed Dec 25 201317:48Beno Udrih stinks in start vs. OKC
Beno Udrih shot 1-of-6 from the field for two points with four boards, six assists and two turnovers in 30 minutes against the Thunder on Wednesday.
He was arguably the worst player on the court at Madison Square Garden and his first three shot attempts included one airball and two shots off the side of the backboard. As discouraging as this game is, Udrih should still have enough opportunity to get some chances to score and hit 3-pointers. He's worth a short-term look in deeper leagues.

Tue Dec 24 201300:37Beno Udrih scores 10 points off bench
Beno Udrih finished Monday's game on the court running the point, scoring 10 points with one rebound, six assists and one turnover in 23 minutes.
Raymond Felton heard a pop in his groin and it sounds like he'll be missing some time. Udrih just gave back the starting job to Felton because his hamstring healed, so he will likely be back in the saddle for Christmas' game against the Thunder. Udrih put up a four-point dud on Saturday, but his 21-point game from Wednesday will make him worth a look for owners wanting some short-term help at point guard.

Sat Dec 21 201315:23Beno Udrih stalls out in loss to Grizzlies
Beno Udrih, coming off a 21-point game, finished Saturday's loss with four points, six assists, two steals and one block in 31 minutes.
His defense was egregious and his offense wasn't making up the difference, so Mike Woodson benched him down the stretch and played a starting backcourt of J.R. Smith and Tim Hardaway Jr. With Raymond Felton (hamstring) targeting a return on Monday, Udrih should be unceremoniously dumped onto the waiver wire.

Thu Dec 19 201300:55Beno Udrih looks great in start for NYK
Beno Udrih excelled in his start for the Knicks on Wednesday, scoring 21 points with four boards, five assists, two steals and five 3-pointers in 40 minutes.
It was easily his best game as a Knick with season highs in points, treys and minutes. Udrih is a terrific fit for the Knicks with his range and he is decent at taking care of the ball, so it will be tough for coach Mike Woodson to take him out of the game with his lack of depth. Udrih will have some major issues on defense and did so tonight getting a front-row seat of Brandon Knight going for a career high, but he should be worth using in standard formats for at least the next two weeks.

Wed Dec 18 201318:44Beno Udrih is starting for Knicks vs. Bucks
Beno Udrih will start at point guard for the Knicks against the Bucks on Wednesday.
It is an expected move after Beno logged 30 minutes on Monday. The Knicks are going to be without Raymond Felton (hamstring) and Pablo Prigioni (toe) for most at least most of December, so Udrih figures to get quite a bit of playing time. They could look at Toure Murry and Iman Shumpert to help while newly-added Chris Smith will be at the end of the bench.

Mon Dec 16 201323:59Beno Udrih plays 30 minutes vs. Wizards
Beno Udrih played 30 minutes against the Wizards on Monday, scoring 12 points with two boards, five assists, one steal and one 3-pointer.
He played some pathetic defense on Bradley Beal on the last possession of the game for the Wizards and that'll be a concern for the Knicks. Udrih is the last man standing after Pablo Prigioni broke his toe and will miss at least two weeks, so he'll be worth a look in standard leagues. He can hit threes and it somewhat proficient in steals while adding some points and assists. Udrih will have to share some of the minutes with Toure Murry and Iman Shumpert, meaning he's far from a must-add player.

Thu Nov 28 201302:40Udrih returns to the bench on Wednesday
Beno Udrih returned to his bench role on Wednesday with Raymond Felton back, playing just three minutes with one assist to his credit.
Felton didn't look too great in the locker room after the game so Udrih could be right back in the saddle, where he would be a risky spot-play for any games that Felton misses.

Tue Nov 26 201302:48Udrih posts 13-5-5 line in loss to POR
Beno Udrih started for Raymond Felton again in Monday's loss to the Blazers, scoring 13 points on 5-of-7 shooting (including three treys) with five rebounds, five assists and one steal.
Owners got 'good Beno' tonight and it's anybody's guess what they'll get going forward, but it looks like there will be at least one more game on Wednesday without Felton around. Carmelo Anthony added 34 points on 13-of-25 shooting with 15 rebounds and a full stat line in the loss.

Sat Nov 23 201321:45Beno Udrih falls off in loss to Wizards
Beno Udrih wasn't effective in his third start of the season with two points on 1-of-7 from the field with four boards, five assists and two turnovers in 25 minutes.
He had a goose egg in the scoring department in his first start on Tuesday, then exploded for 19 points on Wednesday. Raymond Felton isn't expected to be out for too much longer and Beno just shares the point guard duties with Pablo Prigioni anyway. Udrih needs too many things to happen to pop up again as a fantasy asset in most leagues.

Sat Nov 23 201312:57Beno Udrih to start on Saturday
Beno Udrih will start in place of the injured Raymond Felton (hip, hamstring) on Saturday against the Wizards.
Udrih has been the definition of hit-or-miss in the two games since Felton went down, scoring zero points on Tuesday before tallying 19 points and eight rebounds on Wednesday. Use him tonight only if you must, and keep your fingers crossed.

Thu Nov 21 201302:42Beno Udrih plays better in OT loss to Indy
Beno Udrih made another start at point guard Wednesday with Raymond Felton (hip) out again and had 19 points, eight rebounds and four assists on 8-of-15 shooting, which included three 3-pointers.
He was awful on Tuesday with zero points and four assists, and will likely head back to the bench soon with Felton due back sooner than later. If you threw him into a lineup after Tuesday's disaster, the gamble probably paid off.

Tue Nov 19 201322:41Beno Udrih struggles in start for Knicks
Beno Udrih started at point guard for the Knicks on Tuesday and had zero points and four assists on 0-of-3 shooting in a loss to the Pistons.
Pablo Prigioni looked much better off the bench with eight points, five boards, five assists, two steals, a block and two 3-pointers in 23 minutes. Raymond Felton may sit out against the Pacers on Wednesday as well, meaning these two point guards should get plenty more minutes. They'll be risky fantasy plays though, as the Pacers are among the best defensive teams in the league.

Tue Nov 19 201311:55Beno Udrih may get the start Wednesday
Beno Udrih could get the start for the Knicks on Wednesday according to coach Mike Woodson.
The injury-riddled Knicks' rotation is a hot-mess right now and Udrih looks to be the beneficiary of the uncertainty surrounding Metta World Peace and Raymond Felton's availability. The ten-year veteran hasn't played in the Knicks' last three games, but he could be an interesting start in daily leagues if he does indeed get the start over Pablo Prigioni on Wednesday.

Mon Oct 21 201322:31Beno Udrih scores 19 points vs. Toronto
Beno Udrih was terrific in Toronto on Monday with 19 points, four boards, seven assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 34 minutes.
Raymond Felton rested and Pablo Prigoni (elbow) has a minor injury, so it was Beno's show tonight and he didn't disappoint. The Knicks picked him up cheap in the offseason and he'll provide some nice depth since he's capable of playing both guard positions.

Mon Oct 14 201312:27Beno Udrih day-to-day w/ strained left elbow
Beno Udrih sat out Saturday's game due to a left elbow strain, and his status for Thursday's road game is uncertain.
Pablo Prigioni has started a few games at SG during the regular season, and both Iman Shumpert and J.R. Smith could earn the job long-term. That leaves Udrih scrapping for backcourt minutes, and he's unlikely to hold value while Raymond Felton is healthy at PG.

Sat Oct 12 201318:29Beno Udrih getting rest on Saturday
Beno Udrih will not play in Saturday's contest against the Celtics.
He's fine and the Knicks are resting their veterans in a back-to-back set. Udrih will compete with Pablo Prigioni for minutes behind Raymond Felton and isn't worth drafting in fantasy leagues.

Thu Sep 5 201309:07Beno Udrih wanted to be on a winning team
Beno Udrih said he "wants to be on a winning team."
"I just want to be on a winning team," Udrih said. "The last couple of years I was with teams rebuilding. I was trying to bring them a winning mentality and it didn't happen. Now I'm actually on a team where I can play basketball and help a team win instead of teaching young guys how to win." He's going to share some backup duties with Pablo Prigioni and doesn't project to have much fantasy value.

Mon Aug 26 201314:47Beno Udrih not playing in EuroBasket tourney
Beno Udrih is not playing in the EuroBasket tournament for host country Slovenia.
Udrih has been injured while playing internationally in the past and decided to play it safe, but the Slovenian team is fortunate to still have Goran Dragic, Marco Belinelli and Bostjan Nachbar on their squad. Slovenia is 10-1 in preparation matches for the tourney, with their final warm-up coming vs. France on August 31.
