Thu Feb 7 201300:31Reggie Evans double-doubles in win
Reggie Evans had 10 points, 14 rebounds and a block on 3-of-5 shooting in 30 minutes of Wednesday's win over the Pistons.
This was just his second double-double of the season, mainly because he's only hit double figures in scoring twice this season. Evans is averaging 4.4 points, 9.6 rebounds, a steal and 0.4 blocks over his last five games, and we doubt most fantasy owners are in a position to start a player scoring four points per game.

Sat Jan 26 201300:37Reggie Evans double-doubles on Friday
Reggie Evans had his first double-double of the season with 11 points and 10 boards in Friday's loss to Memphis.
He's not exactly the most talented offensive big man since this was his first game with double-digit scoring. Evans shot 1-of-4 from the line and is now shooting 52.3 percent from the line on the season. He's a one-trick pony for boards and isn't worth owning in most formats.

Sat Jan 19 201300:49Reggie Evans grabs 20 boards Friday
Reggie Evans pulled down 20 boards against the Hawks on Friday to go with two points, one assist and two steals in 29 minutes.
It was his second 20-board game on the year, but he also scored just two points in that game. Evans missed all four of his attempts from the line on Friday and dropped his season percentage to 53.8 percent. He's a one-trick pony for rebounds, so he's not really worth owning in standard leagues.

Sat Jan 12 201300:00Reggie Evans cleans the glass again
Reggie Evans scored seven points to go with 15 boards and one steal in 35 minutes against the Suns on Friday.
He's coming off a 23-board game on Wednesday and is one of the most dominant players in crashing the boards. In fact, Evans leads the league in total rebounding rate this season. He's worth a look for owners that seek rebounds, but just remember that he won't provide much else.

Tue Jan 8 201321:27Reggie Evans hauls in 23 rebounds in win
Reggie Evans had two points and 23 rebounds in 27 minutes of Tuesday's easy win.
Evans had 12 rebounds in his previous game and has hit double digits in boards 14 times this season. Unfortunately, he hasn't hit double digits in scoring a single time, which is why he's still floating around on waiver wires. But if you're desperate for rebounds and are in good shape scoring-wise, Evans is worth a look, as it appears P.J. Carlesimo likes him compared to Kris Humphries, who played just 10 minutes tonight.

Wed Jan 2 201319:10Reggie Evans to start Wednesday vs. OKC
Reggie Evans is back in the starting lineup Wednesday against the Thunder.
Evans has moved in and out of the starting lineup so far this season, often switching with Kris Humphries. Evans' value is strictly that of a rebounding specialist. Meanwhile, Humphries' value continues to ping pong nightly based on his minutes and it's hard to tag him as anything other than a liability with a high upside.

Tue Dec 18 201211:15Reggie Evans to come off bench Tuesday
Reggie Evans will come off the bench on Tuesday.
Evans had moved into the starting lineup in place of Kris Humphries, but that plan was short-lived and he'll return to his usual reserve role effective Tuesday. From a fantasy perspective, Evans is a strict rebounding specialist.

Fri Dec 14 201219:13Reggie Evans gets the start at PF again
Reggie Evans started at PF on Friday despite the return of Brook Lopez to the lineup.
The Nets plan to evaluate Lopez's status going forward after Friday's game, but this would appear to mean Kris Humphries is officially on bench duty for the time being. Still, Evans' fantasy value is basically limited to how many rebounds he can grab and he could return to a reserve role at any time. We wouldn't recommend him in most formats.

Wed Dec 12 201222:00Reggie Evans goes for 9 & 11 in another start
Reggie Evans started again at power forward for the Nets and had nine points and 11 rebounds on Wednesday.
He's been playing well and racking up a ton of boards, but we'll have to see if he keeps his starting job once Brook Lopez is back in action later this week. We wouldn't be surprised to see Kris Humphries stay on the bench, along with Evans, with Andray Blatche just sliding over to power forward.

Tue Dec 11 201223:17Reggie Evans starts again, grabs 18 boards
Reggie Evans made another start over a healthy Kris Humphries on Tuesday and finished with five points, a season-high 18 rebounds, a steal and a block in the loss to the Knicks.
There's little doubt that Evans can still crash the boards, but he just won't do much else to help your team. He's also a candidate to go back to the bench soon, either for the struggling Humphries, or when Brook Lopez returns later in the week from his foot injury.

Mon Dec 10 201209:36Reggie Evans started on Sunday for defense
Avery Johnson said that Reggie Evans started over Kris Humphries on Sunday because he wanted to pair Evans with Andray Blatche.
Blatche and Evans had played together in the second unit when Brook Lopez (foot) is healthy, so Johnson may have just wanted some continuity as well as find a way to spark the defense. "We've been struggling defensively to start games," he said. When Lopez returns, it will be interesting to see if Evans still holds the starting spot over Humphries.

Sun Dec 9 201220:56Reggie Evans starts at PF on Sunday
Reggie Evans made a surprise start at PF vs. the Bucks on Sunday, scoring five points with nine rebounds, four steals and five turnovers in 27 minutes.
Evans' start sent Kris Humphries to the Nets' bench. Humphries and Brook Lopez make a terrible defensive frontcourt, so this could have been a preemptive move by Avery Johnson -- either way, Reggie only has value as a rebound specialist.

Sun Dec 9 201209:54Reggie Evans leads NBA in rebounding rate
Reggie Evans leads the NBA by grabbing 25.2 percent of all available rebounds when he's on the court.
Evans sample size is smaller than that of guys like Anderson Varejao and Kevin Love, but he is still a beast on the glass (especially offensively) and even at 32 years old his hustle is infectious.

Sat Dec 8 201205:38Evans plays 18 minutes with the flu
Reggie Evans (flu) played on Friday against the Warriors, scoring two points with three rebounds in 18 minutes.
Evans is a rebounding specialist in fantasy leagues and that's it.

Fri Dec 7 201210:21Reggie Evans good to go on Friday
Reggie Evans (flu) will play on Friday, as expected.
Brook Lopez (foot) will not play, as expected. Evans will return to his usual role, while Andray Blatche will continue to start in place of Lopez.

Thu Dec 6 201211:36Johnson expecting Reggie Evans for Friday
Avery Johnson is hopeful that Reggie Evans (flu) can play on Friday.
It would be a surprise to see Evans sit out two consecutive games with the illness, but stranger things have happened. We think he'll be back in the lineup, which should mean Andray Blatche and Kris Humphries will play slightly less.

Tue Dec 4 201210:42Reggie Evans has flu, won't play Tuesday
Reggie Evans (flu) will not play on Tuesday.
With Evans and Brook Lopez (foot) both sidelined, Andray Blatche is poised to play a major role on Tuesday. If you're an owner in a daily league who needs a big man, give Blatche a look.

Wed Nov 28 201223:19Reggie Evans picks up the slack on Wednesday
Reggie Evans started the second half of Wednesday's game against the Celtics and finished with five points, 10 boards, and two steals in 34 minutes.
Evans is relentless on the glass and he is leading the league in total rebounding rate this year by a fairly wide margin. Since Kris Humphries is likely to be suspended, we can expect Evans to see 30-plus minutes again on Friday against the Magic. If you're looking for some boards, Evans might be your guy in a spot-start.

Tue Nov 27 201201:28Reggie Evans grabs 14 rebounds vs. NYK
Reggie Evans grabbed 14 rebounds on Monday against the Knicks, and also chipped in with four points in 18 minutes off the bench.
Evans is averaging 8.5 rebounds per game, but his overall value is in the 20-team range. If you're hunting a specialist, this is a guy whose sole purpose in life is to clean the glass and flop a lot.

Wed Nov 21 201217:24Report: Reggie Evans earns 1st flopping fine
The NBA has handed Reggie Evans a $5,000 fine for his second flopping offense, a league source told Adrian Wojnarowski.
The fine is the first one handed out under the NBA's anti-flopping guidelines. The fine has little impact on a player who already has no fantasy value, but we're sure the news will make Metta World Peace feel better.
