Tue Apr 12 201110:05Arenas headed for MRI on right knee
Gilbert Arenas expected to have a precautionary MRI on his right knee Tuesday.
It's important to note that Arenas' left knee is the one that has had three surgeries and thus ruined his career. The fact that he is now having problems with his other, allegedly healthy knee is very concerning. Arenas is unlikely to have a real impact on the playoffs.

Mon Apr 11 201121:54Arenas (knee) misses Orlando's game on Monday
Gilbert Arenas (knee) did not play in Monday's win at Philadelphia.
He hasn't been worth a roster spot all season for fantasy owners and has been a massive disappointment since being acquired from Washington earlier this year.

Mon Apr 11 201112:59Arenas' status in doubt due to soreness
Gilbert Arenas' status for Monday night's game is in doubt due soreness.
There's no word as to where the soreness is but we're assuming it's in his knee which has been bothering him all year. Orlando's playoff position is locked so these kind of moves are to be expected.

Sun Apr 10 201115:51Gilbert Arenas cools down after big start
Gilbert Arenas returned to the bench on Sunday and had a disappointing five point performance on 2-of-8 shooting.
This comes after a monster 25 point performance in Wednesday's game against Charlotte. With Jason Richardson (knee) back in the lineup it's safe to downgrade any expectations for Arenas in the final games of the season.

Tue Apr 5 201122:43Gilbert Arenas returns and plays 16 minutes
Gilbert Arenas (flu) returned to action in Tuesday's win and logged 16 minutes off of the bench, scoring six points to go along with a steal and no other statistics.
If this doesn't highlight how useless he is on fantasy rosters these days, nothing will.

Tue Apr 5 201117:29Gilbert Arenas to play on Tuesday vs. Bucks
Gilbert Arenas (flu) is set to return to action on Tuesday night against Milwaukee.
The backup point guard was feeling better and will be available off of the bench in his normal role, but that's not saying much for fantasy owners. He's been pretty much useless since he was moved to the Magic and doesn't even deserve to be anywhere near a fantasy roster right now

Sat Apr 2 201114:10Flu sidelines Gilbert Arenas again on Sunday
Gilbert Arenas (flu) won't travel with the Magic to play the Raptors on Sunday.
This shouldn't impact fantasy lineups, though it does thrust more responsibilities onto Jameer Nelson and Hedo Turkoglu. Arenas remains day-to-day.

Fri Apr 1 201112:30Gilbert Arenas (flu) unlikely to play Friday
Gilbert Arenas (illness) missed shootaround and is doubtful to play on Friday.
Chris Duhon and J.J. Redick are both still out, which leaves ballhandling duties to Jameer Nelson and Hedo Turkoglu -- asked who would handle the ball if they get into foul trouble, Stan Van Gundy said Jason Richardson would likely take over.

Thu Mar 31 201110:13Arenas plans to train with Tim Grover
Gilbert Arenas says he plans on working out with noted trainer Tim Grover this summer.
Grover is known for getting the most out of athletes (like Michael Jordan), but we fear Arenas is a lost cause. His rapidly declining health plus loss of confidence as a bench player has sapped all his productivity.

Mon Mar 28 201123:51Arenas brutal in start for Nelson (knee)
Gilbert Arenas started for Jameer Nelson (knee) on Monday, and hit just 2-of-11 shots from the field (including a three) with 10 rebounds, five assists, three steals, and five turnovers in 43 minutes.
This has to be among the worst looking, but usable fantasy line we've seen in a while, as he was brutal by most standards. With Nelson coming back at some point this week, Arenas isn't worth anything but a spot-start or two, and owners in that case have to hope one of his late threes sparks some confidence.

Mon Mar 28 201101:18Arenas practiced with first team Sunday
Gilbert Arenas practiced with the first team on Sunday as Jameer Nelson (doubtful, knee) sat.
If Nelson misses Monday's game against the Knicks, we fully expect Arenas to get the nod. However, expectations should be held in check. Arenas has been a shell of himself all season, dragging his surgically-repaired leg around and looking downright slow. He's too risky to be considered much more than a desperation spot-start.

Fri Mar 25 201122:31Arenas could benefit if Nelson injury serious
Gilbert Arenas got extra playing time after Jameer Nelson (knee) was knocked out of Friday's game in the second quarter, but hit just 1-of-12 shots from the field for two points, three rebounds, two assists, two steals, and two blocks in 27 minutes.
He has either lost all of his confidence, all of his ability, or both -- but if Nelson's knee injury is at all serious he could be thrust into a role with starter's minutes. Stan Van Gundy said that he would know more about Nelson's injury on Sunday, and until we know about it, adding Arenas is a risk-reward scenario that isn't helped by his recent struggles.

Wed Mar 23 201110:28Magic want Arenas to challenge Jameer
Magic GM Otis Smith said he wants Gilbert Arenas to challenge Jameer Nelson for the starting point guard job next season.
This is wishful thinking from Smith, whose infatuation with Arenas has gone overboard. No longer able to play thanks to crippling knee injuries, Arenas has no shot of overtaking Nelson as a starter. Smith is just going to have to accept that the three years and $60 million left on Arenas' contract will be served as a backup.

Tue Mar 22 201100:32Arenas (calf) returns to action on Monday
Gilbert Arenas (calf) returned to action on Monday, scoring five points on 2-of-8 shooting (including a three) with two rebounds, two assists, four turnovers, and a steal in 18 minutes.
Nothing he did tonight suggests that he can turn his miserable season around, and he should be left on waivers in most formats.

Mon Mar 21 201118:55Arenas (calf) expected to play on Monday
Gilbert Arenas (calf) is expected to play on Monday against the Cavs.
He isn't guaranteed to see his normal assortment of minutes, but any minutes he does get will come at the expense of Jameer Nelson and Jason Richardson, and owners should adjust accordingly.

Mon Mar 21 201113:08Reasons for knee trouble abound for Arenas
Gilbert Arenas (calf) has cited a variety of reasons for his injury plagued season with his most recent being a lack of activity.
"I sit so much; it's all I do," Arenas said. "So, the days I don't really stretch it, and then I start running on it, it just kills back here." There's no denying that his knee and calf have been very temperamental. Similarly Arenas can't be trusted to produce on a consistent basis. Arenas remains questionable for Monday's game.

Sun Mar 20 201121:08Arenas questionable for Monday
Gilbert Arenas (calf) didn't practice Sunday and is listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Cavs.
The calf tightness is related to the knee issues Arenas has been dealing with for years now. This constant soreness is the main reason the man formerly known as Agent Zero is a shell of himself.

Sat Mar 19 201110:22Arenas intends to return Monday
Gilbert Arenas intends to play Monday after missing Friday's game with tightness in his left calf.
Arenas couldn't get loose and said he wouldn't even have played if it were the playoffs. Orlando's mid-season trade to acquire him isn't looking too great, especially considering he's owed truckloads of money through 2013-14.

Fri Mar 18 201119:08Gilbert Arenas a late scratch with sore knee
Gilbert Arenas was a late scratch on Friday with a sore knee.
He's been useless in Orlando so this shouldn't have many fantasy ramifications, although Jason Richardson should log heavy minutes in his (and J.J. Redick's) absence tonight.
