Wed Mar 21 201208:11Daniel Gibson unlikely for next two games
Daniel Gibson (ankle) "probably won't play" on Wednesday against the Hawks or Friday against the Magic.
Gibson has been in a pretty bad shooting slump of late, shooting just 34.9 percent in March, and now his bum ankle will likely keep him out of action over the next two games. Anthony Parker will see his minutes increased with Gibson sidelined, but he just doesn't have enough upside to be worthy of fantasy consideration in standard-sized leagues.

Tue Mar 20 201209:37Daniel Gibson day-to-day with ankle sprain
Daniel Gibson (ankle) is day-to-day after x-rays taken after Monday's game were negative.
Gibson's status should be considered questionable going forward. If he is forced to miss any time, Anthony Parker should see a slight increase in minutes but won't be worth consideration in the majority of fantasy formats.

Mon Mar 19 201221:42Gibson leaves game with undisclosed injury
Daniel Gibson left Monday's game in the second half due to an undisclosed injury, finishing with four points on 1-of-5 shooting, two rebounds, and one assist in 17 minutes.
We'll pass along the injury information as soon as it becomes available. Anthony Parker could get some extra run if Gibson misses any time, as could undrafted newcomer Donald Sloan. Neither will be worth fantasy consideration in most formats.

Sun Mar 18 201218:59Gibson starts the second half on Sunday
Daniel Gibson started the second half on Sunday, but finished the game with just three points (on 1-of-6 shooting), eight rebounds and two assists.
Starter Anthony Parker was benched in favor of Gibson to start the second half and finished with six points in 33 minutes of action. Gibson would be more of an attractive option if he was moved into the starting lineup permanently, but it remains to be seen if coach Byron Scott will make that move. As it is, unless you are in need of a three-point specialist, it's best to find other options.

Thu Mar 15 201216:55Daniel Gibson to see some backup PG minutes
Cavs GM Chris Grant named Daniel Gibson as a candidate to pick up backup point guard minutes.
The Cavs unloaded Ramon Sessions and didn't acquire another point guard. Gibson was already playing 24.4 minutes as the backup shooting guard and is now line for a little boost. There's some upside here for deep-leaguers in need of 3-pointers.

Thu Mar 15 201200:19Daniel Gibson catches fire in loss to Bucks
Daniel Gibson hit 8-of-16 shots and five 3-pointers on his way to 18 points, two rebounds, a steal and a block on 6-of-11 shooting in Wednesday's loss to the Bucks.
Gibson simply got hot tonight and couldn't miss from downtown. He's always worth keeping an eye on, but isn't worth grabbing unless he starts performing well consistently.

Sat Mar 3 201204:38Gibson scores eight points with seven assists
Daniel Gibson scored eight points off the bench on Friday, hitting 3-of-7 shots from the field (including two threes) with seven assists and two blocks in 30 minutes.
Gibson had the extra assists because he played backup point guard with Kyrie Irving (illness) out, but the reason to watch him is Byron Scott's dissatisfaction with the current lineup and rotation. Anthony Parker will probably hold his starting job, but if he doesn't then Gibson is the favorite to step in.

Tue Feb 21 201218:00Daniel Gibson active, starting at off guard
Daniel Gibson (ankle) is starting at shooting guard in Tuesday's game against the Pistons.
Gibson will be backed up by Alonzo Gee, Ramon Sessions and Manny Harris. In five starts earlier this year, Gibson averaged 11.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.8 3-pointers per game. Owners looking for a spot-start in this short week could certainly do worse. Just note that Anthony Parker (back) is expected to return after the All-Star break.

Wed Feb 15 201223:12X-rays on Daniel Gibson's ankle negative
X-rays taken on Daniel Gibson's sprained left ankle returned negative, but he left the arena in a walking boot and is being called "day-to-day."
"We'll know more (Thursday)," said Byron Scott, and some beat writers said after the game that the injury "didn't look good." If we had to guess he'll be a game-time decision for Friday's game against the Heat, which may or may not provide incentive to play. But with the Cavs looking to showcase Ramon Sessions, they might not be in a rush to bring Boobie back on a bad wheel.

Sat Feb 11 201201:05Gibson posts 17-6-8 line; Sesh has 16 assists
Daniel Gibson scored 17 points on 7-of-12 shooting (including two threes) with six rebounds and eight assists in Friday's overtime loss to the Bucks.
Gibson has turned it on and is well worth a short-term add right now, but when Kyrie Irving returns it's possible he dips below low-end value when he's not hitting his 3-point shot. As long as Anthony Parker (back) is out, there are probably enough minutes for him to stay above that line. Ramon Sessions added 12 points, five boards, and a season-high 16 assists while shooting 4-of-16 from the field.
