He will not make the trip to Brooklyn and is likely looking at missing multiple games. Boobie has really struggled to stay healthy this year and owners in even very deep leagues can probably cut him.

Fri Dec 21 201223:25Daniel Gibson returns from ankle injury
Daniel Gibson returned to action from his ankle injury and had eight points, two rebounds and two 3-pointers in Friday's 99-89 loss to the Pacers.
Gibson hasn't been very reliable due to his propensity to wind up on the injury report. Dion Waiters has struggled mightily this year, but the Cavs are likely to give him a long leash. Gibson can be left on the waiver wire in most formats.

Wed Dec 19 201211:41Daniel Gibson game-time call Wednesday
Daniel Gibson (ankle) is a game-time decision on Wednesday.
Since he's got swelling in the ankle after injuring it on Tuesday, it would be a mild surprise to see him play on Wednesday. Dion Waiters and C.J. Miles are locked into minutes at the shooting guard spot.

Tue Dec 18 201222:18Daniel Gibson sprains right ankle
Daniel Gibson sprained his right ankle and did not return to Tuesday's game.
He is dealing with swelling and is not sure he'll be able to play on Wednesday. Gibson isn't exactly a warrior, so those in deep leagues should prepare not to have him. Dion Waiters and C.J. Miles figure to pick up the slack.

He walked to the bench under his own power and not much is known at this point. Dion Waiters made his return tonight and should see as many minutes as he can handle.

Sat Dec 15 201201:42Gibson scores 11 points with three treys
Daniel Gibson scored 11 points and hit three 3-point shots on Friday against the Bucks.
Gibson hit 4-of-10 shots and played 27 minutes off the bench, but managed just two rebounds and one steal to go with his four turnovers. If this is a sign that Gibson is healthy he could have some opportunity on a shallow Cavs squad, but we need to see him back this up before recommending him in most formats.

Fri Dec 14 201209:09Daniel Gibson (elbow) game-time call Friday
Daniel Gibson (elbow) is a game-time decision on Friday against the Bucks.
C.J. Miles is lighting the world on fire over his last couple of games in place of Dion Waiters (ankle), so Gibson is more of a deep league option for those who are desperate for 3-pointers.

Wed Dec 12 201222:40Daniel Gibson plays through elbow injury
Daniel Gibson played through his elbow injury on Wednesday and had eight points and two 3-pointers in the loss.
As long as C.J. Miles is this hot (28 points in two straight) and with Dion Waiters coming back, there's no reason to own Gibson right now.

Wed Dec 12 201218:40Daniel Gibson will play Wednesday night
Daniel Gibson (hyperextended right elbow) will play Wednesday night against the Pacers.
Gibson had been hopeful he would be able to go Wednesday. Still, it remains to be seen how effective he can be given the amount of pain he was in Tuesday against the Lakers. With Omri Casspi (illness) also out against the 76ers, C.J. Miles is worth a look as a short-term option.

Tue Dec 11 201222:53Daniel Gibson says he'll play on Wednesday
Updating a previous report, Jason Lloyd reports that Daniel Gibson plans on playing through his hyperextended right elbow on Wednesday.
We've also seen reports that he has already been ruled out, but given the amount of pain he was in tonight, we aren't expecting much from him against the Pacers. C.J. Miles, who had 28 points on Tuesday, looks like a much safer fantasy option for owners looking for short-term help.

Tue Dec 11 201222:16Daniel Gibson ruled out for Wednesday
Daniel Gibson has been ruled out for Wednesday's game due to suffering a hyperextended right elbow in Tuesday's win.
This should mean another big opportunity for C.J. Miles, who looks like an excellent pick-and-play option in daily leagues, at least while he's hot. He scored 28 points with five 3-pointers in Tuesday's win.

Tue Dec 11 201220:04Daniel Gibson leaves with right elbow injury
Daniel Gibson left Tuesday's game in the second quarter after hyperextending his right elbow.
Signs don't look good for him to return tonight and while he's had issues with the same elbow all season. C.J. Miles has an early 13 points as a starter. And once Dion Waiters returns from his sprained ankle, Gibson will be an afterthought, even when healthy.

Sat Dec 8 201201:04Gibson scores five points in start at SG
Daniel Gibson started at shooting guard for injured Dion Waiters (ankle) on Friday, scoring five points on 2-of-7 shooting (including a three) with four assists and four steals in 27 minutes against the Wolves.
The Cavs are a really bad team without their top-two playmakers in the backcourt, and Gibson is nothing more than a desperation play best suited for deeper formats.

Fri Nov 30 201223:14Gibson (elbow) returns to action on Friday
Daniel Gibson (elbow) returned to action on Friday against the Hawks, scoring nine points on 3-of-10 shooting (including three treys) with one rebound, three assists, and two steals in 28 minutes.
Some variation of this line is what owners should expect while Kyrie Irving (finger) is out. Just keep an eye on that elbow and make sure he appears healthy when deploying him in the near future.
