Thu Nov 29 201214:27Daniel Gibson (elbow) back at practice
Daniel Gibson (elbow) was back at practice on Thursday.
He had an X-ray and an MRI to be sure everything was fine structurally and they came back clean. He should produce some 3-pointers at the very least with Kyrie Irving (finger) not close to a return and is worth a look in deeper formats. Owners should consider Boobie as probable to play Friday.

Gibson's fantasy line was passable at best, but the team ran better when he was on the floor. Given Kyrie Irving's finger injury, he stands a good chance of being useful over the next few weeks and he'll have a bit of upside, too.

Wed Nov 21 201219:02Daniel Gibson won't play against Sixers
Daniel Gibson (elbow) will sit out Wednesday's game against the 76ers.
Gibson was an option for the Cavs at PG with Kyrie Irving (finger) out, but, at least for Wednesday, Byron Scott will have to turn elsewhere. Expect Dion Waiters to have a very big role against the Sixers, while Jeremy Pargo is starting and is worth a speculative add with Boobie out. If he does well, he could cement a future role for the next few weeks. The same thing can be said for Donald Sloan, but he'll have to make an impression coming off the bench.

Tue Nov 20 201209:22Daniel Gibson could start at PG for Irving
Daniel Gibson could start at PG while Kyrie Irving (finger) is out, but Byron Scott has not yet decided who will start.
The Cavs could use Gibson, but that would weaken an already pathetic bench. Dion Waiters will undoubtedly do more ball-handling, and if the team doesn't start Gibson, the options are either Jeremy Pargo or Donald Sloan. Waiters should be owned in all formats with Irving on the shelf, and Gibson's fantasy appeal would rise in a starting role.

Daniel Gibson scored 16 points on 6-of-12 shooting vs. the Thunder on Sunday, adding five rebounds and one steal in 29 minutes.
Gibson is a nice 3-point specialist when healthy, which hasn't been very often in the past few seasons. Sat Nov 10 201205:11Gibson scores 19 points off the bench
Daniel Gibson scored 19 points off the bench on Friday against the Suns, hitting 7-of-9 shots (including five threes) with two rebounds and one steal in 22 minutes.
Gibson has inched up to borderline value in 12-team leagues on the strength of this performance, and while this line has some obvious issues with outliers it's also true that Byron Scott appears to be shortening up his rotation. Gibson is on the right side of that equation, so give him a look in 14-16 team formats.
