Daniel Gibson, who is coming off of foot surgery, admitted that he's "very close" to being 100 percent healthy.
Gibson's final step will be clearing the mental hurdle as he's looked pretty healthy on the court during the preseason. He'll resume his traditional reserve role, but owners can find a player with much higher upside at the end of their draft.

The Cavs have denied that they're "shopping" Daniel Gibson.
Sources tell Hoopsworld that Gibson's name has come up in some trade talks, but it's difficult to read into just how far those conversations may have progressed at any point. Gibson (foot) is expected to be 100 percent for training camp, but the club could look to move him if comfortable with the backcourt rotation. Gibson's expiring contract is worth less than $5 million and wouldn't be too difficult to move in the right deal.

The Cavaliers aren't certain to pick up their team option for Daniel Gibson, whose $4.8 million salary is only guaranteed for $2.3 million.
Gibson seems worth $2.5 million more, and could have trade value, but Cleveland is dedicated to retaining restricted FA Alonzo Gee, and should get a rotation-ready rookie with the No. 4 pick. If they take a SG like Bradley Beal, that could be enough to paint Gibson out of the picture.

Although there are "no guarantees" in regards to him being ready, the assumption is that he'll be without restrictions when training camp rolls around. With Anthony Parker considering retirement, Gibson could be in for an increased role next season.
