Wed Dec 18 201311:21Michael Beasley (hamstring) out vs. Indiana
Michael Beasley (hamstring) will miss his sixth consecutive game on Wednesday.
The Heat are 4-1 in his absence and they have enough depth that they won't bring him back if there's any risk of aggravating the injury. The Heat play another home game on Friday vs. the Kings.

Mon Dec 16 201311:37Beasley (hamstring) out again on Monday
Michael Beasley (hamstring) will sit out again on Monday.
The Heat are being very cautious with Beasley's return, which makes sense since it's an easy injury to aggravate and they have enough depth and versatility to win games without him.

Fri Dec 13 201312:53Michael Beasley ruled out for Saturday's game
Michael Beasley (hamstring) has already been ruled out for Saturday's game vs. the Cavs.
The fact that Beasley has already been ruled out a day in advance tells us where he is with his hamstring injury. Beasley has the ability to score in bunches, but as long as Miami's Big Three is still intact, Beasley has very little fantasy appeal.

Tue Dec 10 201317:52Michael Beasley out again w/ sore hamstring
Michael Beasley will miss his third straight game on Tuesday as he recovers from a strained hamstring.
"We want to get him back to Miami and build and make sure he's ready to go for the weekend," said Erik Spoelstra, referring to Miami's next game on Saturday vs. the Cavaliers. Rashard Lewis and Chris Andersen figure to gain extra playing time off the bench with Beasley unavailable vs. the Pacers.

Mon Dec 9 201313:44Beasley (hamstring) remains day-to-day
Michael Beasley (hamstring) sat out Sunday's game as a precaution, according to coach Erik Spoelstra.
"Michael feels like he can go but hamstrings can be a little bit tricky," Spoelstra said. "We just want make sure to continue to strengthen and heal them and then reevaluate him [Monday]." We're considering him questionable to return vs. the Pacers on Tuesday. Beasley was averaging 19.0 points in the two games prior to his injury, but Miami's two-game schedule this week makes him a risky option.

Sun Dec 8 201316:40Michael Beasley will not play vs. Pistons
Michael Beasley will not play against the Pistons on Sunday due to a left hamstring strain.
It's his second game on the sidelines and he has no timetable to return. Beasley would have actually been a key piece in the rotation today with his 15-point game on Thursday and Dwyane Wade out, but the team will have to look to guys like Rashard Lewis, Norris Cole and Ray Allen to step up.

Sat Dec 7 201319:06Michael Beasley (hamstring) out vs. Wolves
Michael Beasley won't play on Saturday vs. the Wolves due to a strained left hamstring.
The injury doesn't sound too serious and Beasley is listed as day-to-day, so there's a chance he can return for Sunday's road game in Detroit. His minutes will be dispersed between guys like Shane Battier, Chris Bosh, Udonis Haslem and Rashard Lewis.

Fri Dec 6 201300:36Michael Beasley playing playing like a pro
Michael Beasley had another effective game in a loss to the Bulls on Thursday, scoring 15 points with seven boards, two assists, one steal and two blocks in 23 minutes.
He's coming off a 23-point game on Tuesday and he's been the main beneficiary of Dwyane Wade missing time. Beasley has been solid in every game in which he's played at least 20 minutes, scoring a minimum of 14 points in all six of those games. If Dwyane Wade every gets shut down for rest -- a highly-possible outcome -- Beasley might be a somewhat hot pickup.

Tue Dec 3 201323:00Beasley scores 23 points in Heat loss to DET
Michael Beasley almost solely topped the Heat in scoring on Tuesday, finishing with 23 points, four rebounds, a steal and three 3-pointers, but LeBron James also scored 23 to share the title of team's leading scorer as the Heat fell to the Pistons.
Beasley had scored a total of 11 points in his previous two games and benefitted from Dwyane Wade getting the night off for rest, so don't race to pick him up after tonight's big line. LeBron had five rebounds and six assists to go along with the points, and is surely not happy with tonight's outcome.

Sat Nov 30 201301:01Beasley scores seven points on Friday
Michael Beasley scored seven points with three rebounds in 13 minutes off the bench on Friday.
Beasley's line leaves a bunch to be desired but Erik Spoelstra gave him crunch-time minutes tonight and that's probably the best indicator in his overall development. Owners can simply watch this social experiment from afar and if Beasley steps into a significant role we'll let you know.

Sat Nov 16 201322:00Michael Beasley scores 15 points
Michael Beasley turned in his best game of the season in Saturday's 97-81 win over the Bobcats with 15 points, threee boards, one assist, one steal and one 3-pointer in 23 minutes.
He got a little extra playing time with Chris Bosh in foul trouble and Udonis Haslem not playing. Beasley doesn't see much playing time on a regular basis and he'll only be worth using on those nights in which the Heat rest their stars.

Wed Nov 13 201303:12Michael Beasley scores 19 in easy Heat win
Michael Beasley came off the Heat bench and hit 8-of-12 shots and two 3-pointers for a season-high 19 points, an assist and three rebounds in 20 minutes of Tuesday's blowout win over the Bucks.
Beasley actually looked like a player tonight and probably earned some trust from coach Erik Spoelstra with this impressive line. He got some extra burn due to the blowout, while it didn't hurt that Udonis Haslem (back spasms) and Ray Allen (flu) were both out for the Heat. Just keep an eye on Beasley, as we're guessing you would have to play in a 20-team league for him to be worthy of consideration for a pickup right now.

Thu Nov 7 201318:53Michael Beasley scores six points in debut
Michael Beasley scored six points in four minutes during his season debut on Tuesday, but he is not part of Erik Spoelstra's regular rotation.
Beasley cracked the lineup due to Chris Bosh's one-game absence during the birth of his child. He has a long way to go before being a reliable contributor, but Spoelstra did allow that Beasley "could receive extended minutes in due time."

Sun Nov 3 201321:53Michael Beasley picks up another DNP-CD
Michael Beasley picked up his fourth consecutive DNP to begin the season on Sunday.
He sprained his arm last week and was briefly sidelined, but his inactivity has been of the 'Coach's Decision' variety and we're taking him off the injury list. His role in the rotation is not guaranteed, just like his contract, and fantasy owners have no reason to hope that he'll emerge as a contributor.

Sun Oct 27 201319:28Michael Beasley (arm) practices on Sunday
Michael Beasley (arm) participated in Sunday's practice.
It's not clear how intense the practice was, but at least Beasley is back on the court after dealing with an infection in his left arm. Making the Heat roster is a victory in itself for Beasley after his disappointing summer, but he's still fighting for reserve minutes in the rotation.

Thu Oct 17 201318:40Michael Beasley sitting out again on Thursday
Michael Beasley (arm) will not play in Thursday's preseason game.
He has an infection on his left arm, and in true Beasley fashion he's been disappointing so far this preseason. The mercurial forward is far from a lock to remain on the 15-man roster for the regular season.

Tue Oct 15 201321:58Michael Beasley sits with infection in arm
Michael Beasley sat out Tuesday's preseason loss with an infection in a cut on his left arm.
The cut reportedly was not related to him punching himself in the head the other night, but you never know. Consider him day-to-day for now.

Sat Oct 12 201301:56Beasley posts solid line in limited minutes
Michael Beasley posted a solid line in limited minutes during Friday's 86-75 preseason win over the Bobcats, scoring 13 points on 5-of-11 shooting with five rebounds, one steal and a 3-pointer in just 19 minutes.
Maybe we should have had him on the fantasy radar since he's a capable, albeit often-troubled player on a squad with very little depth. It's going to take more than one good preseason game to get our recommendation to draft Beasley in standard formats, but word around the league is that he cares a little bit too much right now and that's better than the lackadaisical attitude we've seen in the past.

Fri Oct 11 201301:04Michael Beasley punches himself in the head
Michael Beasley punched himself in the head so hard on Thursday that he needed treatment.
Well, so much for an uneventful evening for Beasley. He played nine minutes in his preseason debut this year and didn't do anything noteworthy until doing something silly like this. He's off the radar in fantasy leagues.

Thu Oct 10 201322:43Michael Beasley makes Heat return
Michael Beasley made his 2013-14 preseason debut on Thursday with nine points, two boards, one assist and one block in nine minutes.
It must have felt good for Beasley to get back on the court after being cut by the Suns this summer. He doesn't have much of a defined role with the team and isn't worth drafting in standard leagues.
