Thu Feb 20 201423:55Mozzy looks great vs. Bucks on Thursday
Timofey Mozgov was outstanding in his 23 minutes of action against the Bucks during a 101-90 win on Thursday, scoring 14 points with nine boards and three blocks.
He shot 3-of-6 from the field and 8-of-10 from the line because he just manhandled the Bucks inside. Mozgov hasn't been too effective in February, averaging 5.3 points, 3.3 boards and 1.0 blocks in his previous seven games, so he's not a very strong pickup based on this line and even with JaVale McGee (leg) out for the year.

Thu Feb 13 201401:11Timofey Mozgov goes for 9-6-3 in loss
Timofey Mozgov played 32 minutes off the bench and had nine points, six rebounds, a steal and three blocks in Wednesday's loss to the Wolves.
He hasn't done much lately, but got some run tonight as the Nuggets appeared to want some size to match up with the Timberwolves. Kenneth Faried was benched in favor of Tinafey, but we doubt that trend will continue going forward. In other words, don't expect Mozgov to see these kind of minutes, or this kind of production on a regular basis.

Thu Jan 30 201400:12Timofey Mozgov double-doubles vs. Bobcats
Timofey Mozgov logged a double-double against the Bobcats on Wednesday with 15 points, 14 boards and one steal in 27 minutes.
He's put up three solid games in a row and coach Brian Shaw has made good on his claim to play Mozgov more. Mozzy is shooting 56.9 percent from the field and 74.6 percent from the line, which will help buoy his fantasy value. Still, he's not a slam-dunk player to own in standard leagues for falling off the map numerous times.

Sun Jan 26 201400:47Timofey Mozgov scores 15 points vs. Indy
Timofey Mozgov scored 15 points with seven boards, three assists and two blocks in 24 minutes against the Pacers on
It was Bizarro World at Pepsi Center with Mozgov outplaying Roy Hibbert and putting him in foul trouble tonight. Mozgov has a couple blips on the radar this season, but he's still not really worth owning until he can string together a few games.

Fri Jan 24 201413:06Shaw wants to get Timofey Mozgov more touches
Coach Brian Shaw said he wants to get Timofey Mozgov more touches.
Mozgov has performed surprisingly well this season, especially offensively. Over the last 11 games, he's averaging 9.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks while shooting a ridiculous 66.1 percent from the field. "We're actually going to come back around to getting the ball inside, because what's been a pleasant surprise has been Timo inside," Shaw said. "When we do get the ball inside to him, he's shown the ability to finish and do things with it, with his back to the basket."

Sat Jan 18 201400:54Timofey Mozgov blocks season-high five shots
Timofey Mozgov blocked a season-high five shots against the Cavs on Friday with 10 points, 11 boards and two assists in 26 minutes.
He's more well known for failing on block attempts than anything else, but the Cavs attacked quite a bit while playing at a fast pace. Mozgov is playing much better than expected after the Nuggets signed him to a surprisingly-expensive deal over the summer, but he's not too strong of a pickup following this game.

Tue Jan 14 201402:04Mozgov grabs just three boards and one block
Timofey Mozgov had just three rebounds and one block over 19 minutes in Monday's loss to the Jazz.
With the Jazz scoring a season-high 64 points in the paint tonight one would think Mozgov might have helped in that department, but it just wasn't in the cards tonight. Even with tonight's stinker he's still holding 14-16 team value over the last week and over the last two weeks he has been a solid late-round value. Still, limited minutes make his production tenuous from night-to-night.

Wed Jan 8 201403:04Timofey Mozgov cools off in easy win
Timofey Mozgov came off the bench for nine points, six rebounds and two blocks in just 18 minutes on Tuesday.
He came in hot, averaging 18 points, seven boards, a steal and two blocks over his last two games. He was solid in his limited run tonight, but starters J.J. Hickson and Kenneth Faried both played very well, meaning that Tinafey's presence simply wasn't required for heavy minutes tonight.

Mon Jan 6 201400:31Timofey Mozgov scores 20 points off bench
Timofey Mozgov scored 20 points against the Lakers on Sunday with seven rebounds, one assist, two steals and two blocks in 21 minutes.
He shot 8-of-10 from the field and 4-of-5 from the line in his second-best game of the season. This didn't come completely out of the blue with Sunday's showing as his second productive game in a row after his 16-point, seven-board, two-block game on Friday night. Mozgov's minutes are still all over the place and he had just 11.0 per game over his previous two before this recent outburst, so fantasy owners shouldn't really be looking to jump on the empty Mozgov bandwagon just yet.

Sat Jan 4 201402:23Mozgov goes for 17 and seven with two blocks
Timofey Mozgov scored 17 points off the bench on Friday, hitting 7-of-9 shots with seven rebounds and two blocks in 24 minutes.
Mozgov has been a late-round value over the last week or two, averaging 9.6 points with 6.0 rebounds, 1.0 blocks, 60.9 percent field goal shooting, 73.3 percent foul shooting and 1.0 turnovers in 23.4 minutes over seven games. If you're in need of a big man it's worth keeping an eye on his progress or even making a desperation pickup.

Sat Dec 28 201301:28Mozgov nears double-double with Faried out
Timofey Mozgov scored eight points on 4-of-8 shooting with nine rebounds, one steal and one block in 28 minutes with Kenneth Faried (ankle) out on Friday.
Mozgov is going to put up usable numbers anytime he gets the minutes, but chances are he'll return to the bench whenever Faried returns and he'll have a tough time holding standard league value at that point.

Tue Dec 24 201303:05Mozgov double-doubles in start vs. GSW
Timofey Mozgov started at center and scored 14 points on 6-of-11 shooting with 11 rebounds and two blocks over 32 minutes in the Nuggets' 89-81 loss to the Warriors on Monday.
Mozgov stepped into a significant role with Kenneth Faried (ankle) out and it didn't hurt that the Warriors have their own hoss in Andrew Bogut. With a stat set that simply needs minutes in order to return value, owners should be willing to plug him in while the Manimal is out and beyond that he's a total crapshoot.

Sun Dec 22 201302:09Timofey Mozgov goes for 15 & 9 in loss
Timofey Mozgov played 26 minutes on Saturday and had 15 points and nine rebounds on 6-of-9 shooting off the bench.
Kenneth Faried went down with a sprained ankle and is day-to-day, which allowed Mozgov to get some extra minutes tonight. If Faried's injury will keep him out for multiple games, Tinafey will be worth a close look by owners in desperate need of a center.

Fri Dec 6 201323:57Timofey Mozgov stays cold on Friday
Timofey Mozgov played 19 minutes off the bench on Friday with 10 points, six boards and one steal during a 106-98 loss to the Celtics.
This is his second lackluster game in a row after his eight-point, three-board game on Wednesday. It was fun to see him get it going for a couple games, but his lead feet will make it tough for him to be a consistent piece in Denver's rotation.

Wed Dec 4 201322:02Timofey Mozgov cools off Wednesday
Timofey Mozgov cooled off after a couple monster games on Wednesday, finishing with just eight points and three rebounds on 4-of-6 shooting in 17 minutes.
Mozgov came into this one averaging a ridiculous 16.5 points, 17.5 rebounds and 2.0 blocks over his previous two games, but the run is over. He'll have more explosions this season, but as long as he's coming off the bench, he'll be an unreliable fantasy option.

Tue Dec 3 201323:06Timofey Mozgov goes off for 17 & 20
Timofey Mozgov scored 17 points and hauled in a career-high 20 rebounds to go along with a steal and two blocks on 6-of-9 shooting as the Nuggets beat the hapless Nets on Tuesday.
It's usually the opposing big men having their way with the Nuggets, but the Nets are so bad right now that the tables were turned. Mozgov did all his damage in just 21 minutes, and despite not starting, is averaging an incredible 16.5 points, 17.5 rebounds and 2.0 blocks over his last two games. If he can keep it going, it's going to be bad news for J.J. Hickson, but keep in mind that Tinafey had totaled just six points and 14 rebounds in his previous three games. If you're desperate for a center, take a flier on Mozgov and hope this wasn't just a two-game thing.

Sun Dec 1 201316:31Timofey Mozgov has big double-double
Timofey Mozgov had a career-high 15 boards against the Raptors on Sunday to go with 16 points, one assist, two steals and two blocks in 31 minutes.
He had seven offensive boards and was a tremendous presence in the paint on both ends today. Mozgov absolutely stuffed Rudy Gay on a would-be dunk attempt in the win, which is surprising since he's usually on the other end of those. He's coming off a scoreless game on Friday and hasn't done much since his 23-point outburst back on Nov. 13, so it's hard to get too excited about picking him up.

Sat Nov 16 201323:29Mozgov goes for 9 & 10 in limited action
Timofey Mozgov played just 17 minutes on Saturday but still managed nine points, 10 rebounds and a block in a loss to the Rockets.
Mozgov went nuts on Wednesday with 23 points and nine rebounds, had 10 points and five rebounds on Friday and played well tonight. The minutes are a big concern, but he's playing well enough to be given a close look in deep, two-center leagues.

Sat Nov 16 201301:59Timofey Mozgov cools off in 17 minutes
Timofey Mozgov came off the bench on Friday with 10 points, five boards and one block in 17 minutes.
This line is more his speed and not the shocking 23-point game from Wednesday. Mozgov doesn't have the athleticism to play enough minutes, plus his per-minute numbers aren't great anyway. He has a better chance of being put on a poster than producing reliable fantasy value.

Fri Nov 15 201319:26Timofey Mozgov will start vs. Wolves
Timofey Mozgov will start at center against the Wolves on Friday night.
He had his best game in ages on Wednesday with a 23-point, nine-board against the Lakers. The Wolves are going to be running up and down the court, so it should be interesting to see how he'll hold up at that speed. J.J. Hickson will come off the bench.
