Fri May 23 201410:20Timofey Mozgov could wind up starting
Timofey Mozgov could end up starting at center to begin the 2014-15 season, according to the Denver Post.
JaVale McGee broke his leg and J.J. Hickson tore his ACL to end their seasons, but Mozgov may have earned his way into the first unit even when those two come back healthy. At best, he'll likely be in a timeshare, so he'll only be worthy of a pick in the late rounds of fantasy drafts.

Wed Apr 16 201401:23Timofey Mozgov with 18 & 11 after injury
Timofey Mozgov left Tuesday's game briefly with a right knee injury, but returned to finish with 18 points, 11 rebounds and a block in a loss to the Clippers.
He's really turned it on over the last few weeks and his injury is no big deal. All indications are that he'll get solid minutes again in Wednesday's finale against the Warriors.

Tue Apr 15 201422:58Timofey Mozgov to locker room w/ knee injury
Timofey Mozgov left Tuesday's game early with a right knee injury and went to the locker room.
Since this game means nothing to the Nuggets, it would be surprising to see Mozzy return to action.

Sun Apr 13 201400:36Mozgov double-doubles, but a quiet one
Timofey Mozgov, who had 23 points, 29 rebounds and three blocks on Friday, double-doubled again on Saturday, but had just 11 points, 10 rebounds and zero blocks.
It's hard to be disappointed with a double-double, but he wasn't nearly as fun to own tonight as he was 24 hours ago. He should finish up strong, so keep rolling him out there and hope for the best.

Fri Apr 11 201401:21Mozgov'd: Timofey grabs 29 boards in win
Timofey Mozgov set an NBA season-high 29 boards against the Warriors on Thursday to go with 23 points, three assists, one steal and three blocks.
The Nuggets owned the glass and won the battle of the boards 63-38, including 25-6 on the offensive ends. Mozgov played a season-high 43 minutes tonight, which was a bit of a surprise since a lot of teams have gone small against the Warriors. Tonight's game might change that strategy, but the Nuggets are actually playing well with big wins over the Warriors and Rockets in a road back-to-back set. As for Mozgov, he's a must-own player the rest of the way with six nice games in a row.

Tue Apr 1 201402:23Mozgov erupts for 23 and 10 vs. Grizzlies
Timofey Mozgov (illness) tied a career-high with 23 points in the Nuggets' 94-92 loss to the Grizzlies on Monday, hitting 9-of-15 shots (5-of-7 FTs) with 10 rebounds and one block in 32 minutes.
Mozgov has been a must-own player for a bit now, though explosions like this aren't necessarily in the cards on most nights. Ty Lawson was quiet with eight points, five boards and six assists, Randy Foye scored 13 points with nine boards, four assists, two steals and a three, and Kenneth Faried posted 17 points, eight boards, three steals and a block in the loss.

Sat Mar 29 201404:43Timofey Mozgov (illness) plays
Timofey Mozgov (illness) played 21 minutes against the Spurs on Friday with seven points, eight boards, one steal and one block.
He was reported out of the lineup during shootaround and felt well enough to play. Mozgov is really the only true center on the roster, but he's still only playing around 20 minutes per night. He's a solid player to own in standard leagues for his blocks and solid percentages.

Fri Mar 28 201419:23Update: Timofey Mozgov will play Friday
Timofey Mozgov (illness) will play against the Spurs on Friday.
The team had him listed as out back at morning shootaround and now they seem to have changed their minds. Of course, they are absolutely gutted as far as frontcourt depth goes, so Mozgov might just be giving all he can in this game. He'll likely start with guys like Jan Vesely, Darrell Arthur and Anthony Randolph also helping out.

Fri Mar 28 201414:09Timofey Mozgov (illness) listed as out Friday
Timofey Mozgov is listed as out for Friday's game vs. the Spurs due to an illness.
He came down with his illness yesterday and it doesn't sound like the Nuggets are going to have him. That spells big trouble for them with J.J. Hickson (knee) out for the year, so it'll be a small-ball lineup. Wilson Chandler is also listed as out and Jan Vesely is doubtful. In other words, it it going to be a lot of Ty Lawson, Aaron Brooks, Randy Foye, Evan Fournier, Kenneth Faried, Darrell Arthur and Anthony Randolph tonight vs. the Spurs. Randolph or Mozgov are expected to start.

Tue Mar 25 201401:16Mozgov nears double-double in loss
Timofey Mozgov neared a double-double in Monday's blowout loss, scoring 12 points on 5-of-8 shooting with nine rebounds and one block in 32 minutes.
With J.J. Hickson out for the year this is in the ballpark of what owners can expect on most nights. That's good enough for low-end late-round value with a hint of upside so give him a look if you need a big. Kenneth Faried bounced back with 11 and 11 to go with two steals in the loss.

Sat Mar 22 201401:59Mozgov plays 14 minutes on Friday vs. DAL
Timofey Mozgov logged just 14 foul-plagued minutes in Friday's loss to the Mavs, scoring seven points on 2-of-3 shooting with four rebounds and a block.
Mozgov hasn't given owners much reason to have faith, but with J.J. Hickson getting an MRI on his knee on Saturday there is a chance his workload gets anywhere from a small to sizable boost. If you need a big man, he should be on your radar at the very least.

Mon Mar 10 201421:41Mozgov posts solid defensive line vs. Bobcats
Timofey Mozgov scored nine points on 4-of-8 shooting with six rebounds, two steals and two blocks over 20 minutes on Monday against the Bobcats.
Mozgov isn't going to see a wholesale change in his role barring an injury this season, so owners can simply consider these good nights and refer back to a sub top-200 stretch over the past two weeks as a guide. That said, if you're desperate for a center in a deep league he'll play 20-25 minutes on most nights and give you a fighting shot at some blocks.

Sat Mar 8 201401:00Mozgov posts low-end line vs. Lakers
Timofey Mozgov scored 13 points on 5-of-10 shooting with six rebounds, one steal and one block over 26 minutes in Friday's win.
Mozgov hasn't done anything with his move into the starting lineup and this good line needs to be backed up before we recommend him as anything but a desperation play in deeper formats.

Thu Mar 6 201400:33Timofey Mozgov 0-for-5 in win
Timofey Mozgov started again on Wednesday and missed all five of his shots, finishing with three points, 10 rebounds and a block.
He at least got some boards and a block, but using Tinafey in a fantasy league is risky business. He's averaging 6.8 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.4 blocks over his last five games, but hasn't hit double figures in scoring in four straight.

Tue Mar 4 201400:22Timofey Mozgov has another weak game
Timofey Mozgov played just 10 minutes against the Wolves on Monday with four points, three rebounds and one block.
This game was played at a break-neck pace and Mozgov just could not hang. Maybe Ty Lawson's return hurts Mozgov, so it's definitely possible coach Brian Shaw moves Mozgov out of the starting lineup. Chances are Shaw will play the matchups, so Mozzy isn't necessarily a strong own in standard leagues after three sub-par games in a row.

Sun Mar 2 201400:44Timofey Mozgov plays just 19 minutes
Timofey Mozgov played 19 minutes against the Blazers on Saturday with four points, six boards, one assist and one block.
It was a bad matchup for Mozgov tonight. The Blazers live and die by the jump shot, so Denver didn't need Mozzy's presence inside tonight. Also, the pace of this game didn't do the big man any favors. Even if he's only getting minutes in the low 20s, Mozgov is worth a look in standard leagues for his 1.2 blocks per game this season.

Fri Feb 28 201401:35Timofey Mozgov still a little quiet in start
Timofey Mozgov played 21 minutes in a start at center on Thursday with nine points, eight boards and two blocks.
He shot 3-of-9 from the field and did not play the last 22 minutes of this game because the Nuggets were outscored 29-8 in the first quarter and never got anything going. Despite the disastrous showing by the team, Mozgov seems like he's going to start for the foreseeable future and is worth a look in standard leagues for decent blocks and double-double potential. Hopefully he'll avoid being put on posters.

Thu Feb 27 201416:19Timofey Mozgov 'probable' starter on Thursday
The Denver Post lists Timofey Mozgov as the Nuggets' probable starting center on Thursday.
He had 14 points, six rebounds and two blocks in a start on Tuesday and seems to have done enough to fend off J.J. Hickson for at least one more game, despite Hickson's monster 25-rebound effort off the bench.

Wed Feb 26 201400:14Timofey Mozgov plays well in start at center
Timofey Mozgov started at center on Tuesday and had 14 points, six rebounds and two blocks in 25 minutes against the Blazers.
He played 25 minutes and while tonight's line will be overshadowed by J.J. Hickson's 25 rebounds off the bench, Mozgov is worth grabbing if available in your league. He could start at center the rest of the way for the struggling Nuggets.

Mon Feb 24 201416:44Timofey Mozgov moves into starting lineup
Timofey Mozgov will start at center for the Nuggets on Tuesday.
The move is a little overdue for the Nuggets and should stick. The J.J. Hickson and Kenneth Faried combo has been brutal on defense and moving Mozzy into the first unit should help. Mozgov is worth a look in some leagues, but his averages of 9.2 points, 7.8 boards and 1.6 blocks in 24.0 minutes per game over his last five serve as an expectation. Those are useful numbers in standard leagues.
